How do I install sound mods?

Alot of these sound mods sound really cool. But I have no clue how to get them in game etc. Can somebody please explain to me how to do it etc. Thanks in advance:)

To install sound mods you do this:

 

First backup the original sound ;).

 

Then you copy the new sound (.bnk file) into Program Files\Atari\Test Drive Unlimited\Euro\Bnk\Sound\Vehicules and you should be good to go ;).

 

If you would like to replace a sound from a car already ingame with another car, you would do something like this for example:

 

If you want to put the Ford GT (Ford_GT_audio.bnk) sound on the Corvette ZO6 (C6_Z06_audio.bnk), You would copy the Ford GT .bnk file to your desktop and rename it to the same filename as the ZO6 (C6_Z06_audio.bnk).

 

Then you backup the original C6_Z06_audio.bnk file and then copy the one from your desktop which should be the renamed Ford GT .bnk file. After you've done that you should have the Ford GT sound on the Corvette ZO6.

 

Remember to always backup your files before you mod them.

I copied the .bnk file for the Skyline R34's sound [made by someone here] and put it in the correct program files folder, and now my R34 makes no sound at all. I made sure i have the right file, and put it in the right place....not sure what the problem is

Modding tools? It says above all you have to do it overwrite the existing sound file with the new one?

Skyline GTR, do you have the magic map ?

Because if the new file is too big you will get no sound. I think the magic map will solve the problem, you can find it here. If the problem persists, link/send me the file and I will see if I can find the problem ;).

I added the Magic map mod, (the first one on the list from your link) and now the whole game freezes whenever its saves..

 

 

The game is freezing only when i go to take a skyline R34 out for a drive BTW

Delete the Radial.cdb file.

 

In your Appdata\Atari\TDU folder.

I'm guessing your patch 1.66 + megapack yes ?

If that is the case then you have downloaded the right magic map.

The only other problem it could be is a problem with the sound mod :confused:.

If you can link me to the sound mod I will try it on my game to see if I get the same problem ?

 

Forgot about the Radial.cdb file, if you do what Sponge said that should stop the freezing.

i cant find the Radial.cdb, there is no atari folder in 'appdata' and a search of the whole computer of Radial.cdb comes up with nothing....?

Ok, it works now. I deleted it, and now the Veyron and Skyline sound works!
