Physics Tweaking Perhaps?

I feel that the car Physics as far as driving are pretty good. However, I think that Engine Braking are way too high for even Arcade Mode, let alone Hardcore Mode. I've driven standard and automatic vehicles, and none of them have nearly as much of engine braking as these vehicles do. I think that the should be able to cruise more and not slow down from 60 in a matter of seconds if you let off the gas a bit. I also think that there should be a better automatic transmission mode in TDU2. Perhaps like real life, where if you step on it a little, it will upshift a little bit higher in the RPMs than if you just push the pedal in a few centimeters. Other than that, I think that TDU already is great! Thanks for reading my ramblings! -Jorden M.

Hey,

I like your points, I too think the automatic system needs tweaking but it's hard if your using a keyboard it would constendly down shift - maybe 2 automatic modes - one for keyboard one for like game pad/steering wheel system

Also, I notice the engine breaking to, really annoying @ times... but again this is a game =p

I thought about the auto mode too :)

why not making it like real life...

if you push the pedal just a little bit - upshifts will be very early. (like 2000 RPMs)

and if you really step on it upshifts will be in redline.

also down shifts will be like real life so even if you slow down it won't down shift and the engine RPMs will stay low. and when you want to accelerate it will down shift depending on the strenght of your push - again, a very gentle push won't make the car to donw shift and you will accelerate slowly in the same gear, medium push will cause down shift of one gear and if you floor it- it will down shift to the lowest gear that possible.

One more thing that will be cool is an S mode. (Sport)

like in real life, in that mode the car will try to stay at the right gear and even cruising will be at high RPMs (depends on the car but mostly it will stay above 3500 RPMs) and upshifts will be much higher.

(these modes including auto and manual cars at once, i mean the mode will affect the driver and not the cat itself to make it possible to work on manual transmissions too)

Of course this will only work for steering wheel\pad users.

And about the physics: i wish it will be more realistic in TDU2.

the car never react as you expect and when the back is starting to go a bit out of the line you endup spining with no control.

i want to be able to trow the back a little and get out of the corner on the right side, make it possible to drift a bit.

(sorry if there are some Misspellings, hope you understood what i meant)
