Change nickname in-game?

Would this be possible? I tried copying the profile in my savegame folder and giving it a new name, from Foofah to Foofah_Cars101, but it just wouldn't bite. Is there any other way, if it would be possible?

You have to create a new profile with different Game-Spy name.

And the copy Data, from old Game-Spy Profile (Cars, everything else.) Leaving the gamer-tag alone.

 

It is somewhere around the internet, how to change an Offline Profile to Online. I think it should work in the same way.
