  1. Excellent you found the fix and even better that you've posted it so that if any others are suffering the same problem can also remedy it until a proper fix is applied.
  2. Have you sent in a support ticket via the Ubisoft site? You can also if you're on twitter contact their @UbisoftSupport account, though they'll probably direct you to the previous.
  3. I see people recommending grabbing that Perk Point (PP) that increases your chances of winning an extra PP too. So is the main grind happening when people are playing solo?
  4. Interesting meet-up. You could have left off the first 4mins or so though but that was a nice run in your Mini with Col's lovely at times sounding 8C at the latter stages.
  5. That's a fair amount, not being able to play myself I can only go with what others are saying but it seems money can be gotten in this game both very difficultly and somewhat easy via certain means and paths. Might be worth getting the hive-mind on this and sharing their ways of getting the green (or blue) in The Crew. :)
  6. Herein lies the question though - should you be able to grab the best and most expensive car within a few days of play? Too many games throw them at you and this in turn means many of the other vehicles get ignored or unused. Now I understand that not everyone can play a game for a great length of time to gain access to these hence why I am saying I am ok with these sort of pay for convenience aspects if these people wish to use them. A common complaint from actual players is that games are too short, but when a game makes you work for the good stuff it is then seen as grinding or trying to push you to buy the premium bypass items. True that today it is actually a blend of both but when many play a game and want it to last a good while and want a reason to keep on playing, they don't want to feel like they have to grind to get there and this is on the designers and producers to keep the games flow of progression going without giving that impression. I can understand though the player who has little time to play properly through and so spends some money on bypassing hours of normal playtime to reach that point to keep-up with the normal players. So maybe it's more pay to catch rather than pay to win. :oook: When a player completes the main story then sure they should have a good chunk of change and be able to buy at least one of the BIG items on offer or be provided it as a reward for doing so. However when that same game has multiples to offer to keep on playing and to engage with other players then it's only right that the spoils should go to those who do this as what reason is there for continuing with the game after beating it if everything is given to you? On the other hand if we take Midnight Club: Los Angeles and the way they gave everything to you for free for reaching a certain amount of money then sure there is an argument for going that route too. In conclusion I guess I just don't have a clue.
  7. We'll get better pics than even Hubble of Pluto and it's surroundings due to this thing.
  8. For the whales. :oook: I find it funny how people berate this game for this as I have a couple of mates who work nightshift, have kids and have little time to play so dropping a small amount so they can get some better enjoyment out of their games I don't mind. What I do mind is when a game has been catered to make this a case for everyone, playing the game normally should result in decent payouts and progress, but if someone else wants to pay for 'convenience' or to 'pass the time' rather than to 'win' then I am ok with that, though I know others will be deftly against any of it.
  9. [headline]DRIVECLUB - Weather Update OUT NOW![/headline] DRIVECLUB wasn't kidding when they said that weather would come to the game shortly after release, as of today's update dynamic weather is now included in the game for both offline and online play. If you've seen the media of this then you know that the tech behind this is truly astonishing and will add an even greater challenge to the already testing nature of the racing due to lack of grip and visibility. The game may have suffered some catastrophic issues and yes there are still some gremlins lurking about but it's getting there and for those of you players who loved PGR3 and 4, this game is often mentioned as being an evolution of that. [subhead]DRIVECLUB - 1.08 Update Details[/subhead] You can download the new game update (1.08) now! 10. Yep there's been a really good amount of shots from multiple locations such as the ISS, the craft itself and the ground. They even have a drone flying over the landing zone to catch it's return to earth.
  11. Yeah here's the link: Send Your Name to Mars (closed now obviously)
  12. I think that may be the one my kid brother's name is on with that Boarding Pass thing they did.
  13. Partly true, I actually check out random conversations or mentions on here and think of the animal that works for that scenario and if there isn't one, add a new one. And yes I am nuts, you all know that. :bunny:
  14. Haha that is a brilliant entry BAk, I love the early detail you went into with Paul's living arrangement. Good stuff, can't wait to see more from people.
  15. [headline]tduck The Crew Competition[/headline] Hey there, have we got something immensely immense for you lot! :D We are thanks to the humongous generosity of Ivory Tower and Ubisoft giving away copies of the The Crew for the PC and Xbox One. There is one copy of each in this first competition so that means... erm... *thinks* 2 people will win a code for the game on the system that they choose. How can you do this I hear you send in morse code? Well it's rather simple and yet difficult at the same time, but don't worry it's doable by anyone, even me! So that's saying something. As you may or may not know we have a bunch of animals we reference on this community, from the humble goat called Vince who loves a sponge wash, to Ramonde the art critic giraffe. And being as stupid and insane as we are we were thinking it would be crazy awesome to have you guys do something that involved them, so we did, and you do. What we want from you is to write a small story that involves the tduck animals at a trackday. Yes the mad squad have went out together for the day and are enjoying themselves running laps in their cars (feel free to pick what they have) amongst other things. And don't worry if you haven't a scooby what we are talking about as they are all listed below so you don't need to hunt for them or anything, that would just be cruel. of course we the staff will pick the best one for each platform and those winners will win a code for The Crew. Entries Close: CLOSED [subhead]tduck animals[/subhead] * Vince - Home goat, LOVES A WASH! * Squirrel Mafia - Bunch of drunk, angry squirrels who are constantly after peoples' nuts! * Clancy - One-legged three-eyebrowed flamingo * Frank - an armadillo * Penelope - albino peacock * Cammy - duck with a lisp (kinda daffy) * Ernie - goat imitating skunk (skunk the pretends to be a goat) * Daizy - evil cow * Ramonde - art critic giraffe * Graham - goat that liked tweeting and used to have a goat dating site - dateagoat.co.uk * Paul - a family of flies that crawls about your screen in a 1 in 50 chance, each one typically only lives about 24 hours. [subhead]RULES[/subhead] * Create your story and post it along with your platform of choice between PC and Xbox One. Good luck and thanks for entering!! turboduck team [subhead]WINNERS ANNOUNCED[/subhead] The Winner of our 'tduck animals' Story Competition is.......... Ahautcar and since a code we had does not need used anymore we decided to give it away in this contest and so Winner #2 is..... D4N005H
  16. Enjoyed that Bentley video particularly the driving, the way you smoothly negotiated the road blocks and such was very nice. Will watch the newest later today and give you some words.
