  1. Yeah the handling will make or break it for most for sure. Planes and boats seemed to fly and glide well mind. This Skull & Bones game is looking awesome. So cool that Ubi listened to people's requests for taking the best bits of ACIV and making a whole game out of it.
  2. [HEADLINE]The Crew 2 Reveal Trailer[/HEADLINE] The Ubisoft E3 conference is taking place right now and for those who were lucky enough to catch the leaked trailer and saw what it showed, the rest of us have only just now caught up and damn was it pretty exceptional! There's a Beta coming too! The Crew 2 Beta The Gameplay Preview has also been posted.
  3. What in the absolute out of the blue direction was that for The Crew 2! Even after hearing about details from the leak I was unsure of what had actually been seen but that was outrageous for how much was incorporated into it. This team is nothing but ambitious!
  4. You got to love that Rabbids humour. Must be quite a lot of fun to make a game like that knowing that creating stupidity is all a part of the development.
  5. Mario and Rabbids and Miyamoto himself on the stage. That's a big thing! Ubisoft must be bricking it but if they pull it off, oh mama!
  6. Ubisoft E3 is about to start! Let's see these boats and planes, and whatever treat they got for us at the end.
  7. Forza Motorsport 7 Announced Racing fans of all over were in high spirits while watching the Xbox E3 conference, as during the show the first showing and details of Forza Motorsport 7 were revealed. When you are one of the biggest names in the racing game scene it doesn’t take much to get people excited about a new one, however Forza games have always not taken this for granted and generally strive to eclipse what they delivered previous. And who better to talk about it than Turn 10 studio boss Dan Greenawalt. Up on the stage he delved into the many details about the game before presenting the first ever look at Porsche’s brand new 911 GT2 RS, which itself will be the cover car for the game. Personally I think this moment was wasted on the audience as many of them didn’t seem to realise what was actually happening. In the way that Gran Turismo is a showpiece for PlayStation, Forza Motorsport has become one for Xbox, and with the newly announced Xbox One X FM7 is going in all exhausts blazing to demonstrate what it's capable of: running at a native 4K resolution at the trademark 60fps the games are known for and displaying an image quality and clarity that has only been seen on higher-end PCs compared to console. Setting out to be the largest Forza ever, FM7 will have over 700 cars including as said by Greenawalt, “the largest collection of Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and Porsches”. That claim isn’t only about the car list either, there will be 30 environments consisting of over 200 track configurations, made up of real world circuits, locations and fictional creations from Turn 10. This is great to hear as FM games can tend to lack in the number of circuits available department, and some of this number will be made up of former entries to the series, with Mugello being one of the first of these to be spotted from the video (1m27s). Another desire of fans has been answered too, with the featuring of dynamic time-of-day and weather conditions. Customisation is always a favourite in any Forza game and FM7 has now expanded this to include… your driver. Players can personalise their male or female character’s appearance through a wide range of racing gear that spans multiple decades and areas of popular culture. During the show a pair of female racing drivers played through their own races, the first on one of the brand new Dubai layouts in a Porsche 911 GT2 RS, and the other racing a Nissan GT-R racecar around a wet and stormy Nurburgring. Set to launch from October 3rd for the Xbox One family and Windows 10, FM7 is exhibiting that it could be the game many players have been waiting for!
  8. It's just something that adds a new dimension to your typical racing game. They need to make sure the vehicles feel right otherwise it will be a lot of effort for probably nothing. And should they be sticking with the RPG element then they need to drive (npi) the fact that the handling sucks at the start but will get better as you progress. That could be a non-starter for many though if it remains.
  9. I saw last night on social media that The Crew 2 E3 trailer was posted early on their Facebook and someone grabbed it and put it on YouTube, but it was pulled before I noticed it on there. However 'Beyond The Road' is the truth, as there's talk of boats and planes this time! Not to mention that reaction from those who did see it is quite mixed. The official reveal is only a number of hours away now, so we will all be able to judge it for ourselves.
  10. 2017-06-12: Installed a plugin that adds some often used items of the 'Advanced' editor (Alignment, Lists, etc) to the 'Quick Reply/Edit' editor to make it easier to post with them. Also hacked together a way to get some custom BBcode buttons onto the editors too, again to make their usage more user-friendly. These are: HEADLINE, SUBHEAD, STRIKE, HIDDEN, SPOILER and TWEET. As of now this is how they work. [HEADLINE]HEADLINE TITLE TEXT[/HEADLINE] [sUBHEAD]Sub-heading Title[/sUBHEAD] I did want to say this but I have now changed my mind but don't want to remove it [spoiler=Hehe I'm Hiding"]You can also title the Hidden container by adding the text to the opening tag [plain][spoiler=TITLE TO USE HERE][/plain] And adding tweets is as simple as copying the id (number) of the tweet in the url - e.g: [plain]https://twitter.com/tduckteam/status/[/plain][plain]514943352286900224[/plain] [plain][media=twitter]514943352286900224[/media][/plain] (Note: Preview post first to see if it shows properly before submitting) Result: [TWEET]514943352286900224[/TWEET]
  11. [B]Congratulations to @Soundwave on being the winner of tbc #92!! A veteran champion of these contests his very nicely posed shot of a BMW at night has taken the most votes and put him alone onto the top step. Good effort by @[URL="http://forum.turboduck.net/member.php?u=7269"]Ozzmcom[/URL] on his runner-up spot and to @[URL="http://forum.turboduck.net/member.php?u=40218"]Loek[/URL] for taking the final place on the podium. Decent turnout in the voting too which was good to see so thanks very much to everyone who casted their vote. [/B] [I][U]Notices:[/U] * Ryzza5 and Darkboy are disqualified due to not voting in the poll[/I]
  12. Project Scorpio Becomes Xbox One X Microsoft has taken the covers off of Project Scorpio and revealed its real name to be, Xbox One X. Keeping the ‘Xbox One’ in the name shows that MS has stayed true to their promise that this is in fact just a super powerful version of their current console. Priced at $499 and launching November 7th, the One X is aimed at hardcore gamers and this new system is a seriously hefty step up from its siblings, the One and One S. With that sort of premium there has to be some monumental increases in power, and there is. A beefier Radeon GPU capable of pumping out six teraflops of graphical processing power, 12GB GDDR5 RAM and a built-in 4K Blu-ray player means native 4K visuals are a reality, although buyers without a 4K tv will feel and see the benefits on a 1080p set too. Despite being the most powerful of the Xbox One systems, amazingly the One X will also be the smallest! Incredible how over time technology gets to a stage where such a significant increase in power and performance can be scaled down to be even smaller. It’s not a massive difference between it and the One S but still it’s quite remarkable that this is the case. Perhaps surprising (at least to me it is) is that the included controller is not an Elite but instead a standard one. And is a 1TB HDD enough space for storing all those 4K native and enhanced titles that are to come? External storage is obviously an option but hasn't the ability to swap hard drives become the obvious and preferred choice these days? When rumours were circulating around the price being what it turned out to be, some were put off, however they were willing to accept it had these two items been more on the premium side. Whatever the case, the One X will be the most powerful console out on the market when it launches in November and will have to stick around for a few years before a next-gen Xbox can be shown. Well at least you would hope so.
  13. Forza Motorsport 7 and dynamic weather. SOLD! Metro EXODUS looked extremely good and quite full on. Going to have to keep your wits about when playing that I feel. AssCreed Origins. The trailer made the game look real good, the gameplay segment was a bit hollow imo but then they still got time to work on it and knowing it is the AC IV team behind it. I have faith. State of Decay 2 looks AWESOME!!
  14. Any of you going to watch the Microsoft conference in a little under an hour from now? Forza Motorsport 7 will be there amongst other things.
  15. Need for Speed Payback Gameplay Trailer A new gameplay trailer for Need for Speed Payback has been shown during the EA Play event. The video is of the same heist seen in the original reveal, where the stealing of a Koenigsegg Regera from the back of a moving truck is the objective. The action kicks off with ‘Tyler’ and ‘Jess’ taking off in the Mustang and it’s not before long that they are needing to take down a ‘House Enforcer’, who in true bad guy form are found driving around in aggressive looking blacked out cars. Once free of that, it is time to catch up to the truck itself. After a cut scene shows your characters being brake checked and the truck somehow managing to cause absolute carnage and chaos on the road ahead, it is once again time to put your foot to the floor. [caption id=attachment_7001" align="aligncenter" width="800] How did that truck do all of this?![/caption] Dodging all the debris that is strewn across a small stretch of tarmac, it is time for another small cut scene that shows the two speeding along as the chase continues, however ‘The House’ cartel has ramped up their attempts to stop you as more enforcers start to hound you, and these are tougher, requiring multiple hits, or having to be persuaded to hit a stationary object, hard, before they will go down. Side note: With all of the action going on it is easy to miss how gorgeous the game is and how expansive it seems too. As the path becomes clear and you ride up to the marker beside the target, the character switching dynamic comes into play and now via a cut scene we see Jess climbing out the passenger side window and leaping onto the trailer, walking across it, and entering from above. Building up a bit of tension as the trailer snakes from side-to-side and looks like it is ready to topple, Tyler is calling out to Jess with an understandably worried tone, but wee Jess has this, as with the trailer tipping, the Regera bursts out of the back in super slick slow motion and heads out in the opposite direction to the Mustang. Control is given back to the player and as they squeeze the power out of the ultimate Koenigsegg, driving against the flow of traffic, it’s not long before yet another (!) cut scene makes an appearance, this time it's the Police and they are out in force, fronted by an extremely adventurous helicopter pilot. It alludes to many instances from the Fast and Furious franchise, pushing hard on the action and cinematic experience, which if done right, could be some mindless action packed fun!
  16. The next Xbox, codename Project Scorpio looks like it might very well be called... wait for it: Xbox Scorpio. (found via a BestBuy.ca leak) Oops sorry wrong image. :D It's speculated that the price will be $499. This has been heard during rehearsals by some who are around the area. Interesting that they appear to be dropping the 'Xbox One' mind you. For a console that is supposed to the ultimate Xbox One that seems a bit of a weird one if it's true.
  17. Woah now, you boys never heard of track limits? :p That was quite a lonely battle, how far up was the next place?
  18. I doubt it and I don't think it ever will again as their community isn't interested in it, which is a shame.
  19. The biggest complainers of customisation are those who wish NFS would return to its roots but that's not going to happen. However there are a lot who just want the series to go back to what the original Most Wanted did. That game had the best of old and new NFS at the time. Allowing those who wanted to have their supercars and get chased by the police to do so and for those who wanted to go all Fast and Furious to do that. Biggest pain is the handling. Sure there are people who want NFS to go be more like a simulation but that's not what NFS has ever been about. But to go too far over to stylised super-floaty-drift handling is also something that a lot do not want to see. However, when you consider the teen age range that NFS has at its core, it is easy to see how so many of them want theirs to handle like the Criterion games, as that's what they know. Shills are a problem too. It's as if people forget you can be a fan and yet STILL give criticism.
  20. That was a well worked pass, looked like you made a late decision to dive down the inside as you jinked out pretty hard.
  21. UPDATE: He's posted a video on DRIVETRIBE. He's doing well after having "binned it again" but he's going to need a "Swiss Army Knee" due to the injury sustained on it. For all he's gone through, you have to really admire the chipper attitude he's still got. :) Get well s**n Hamster! :hdance:
  22. You have been busy with all these postings. So many brilliant shots, but since I last looked it is the Macan running wild and the mad Focus on the Hot Wheels track sets that gets the kudos from myself. Some outstanding pics in those especially and great work on the funny captions too.
  23. The customisation has went up a notch again, in that area they are smashing it. Hopefully we will get to see some police chases and just general driving around in order to gauge how the game handles. Although, I think the target base for this now regards how much they can customise the car visually, over anything else, like how well it plays. Taken some inspiration from The Crew's specs methinks.
  24. This is a good one guys, make sure to get your vote in if you haven't done so already!
  25. Now that's a question you don't see often. To be honest I don't think I have seen many wheels with the "abuse ready for drunk people" approved sticker. :cheeky: Apart from Logitech like you mentioned, there is also Thrustmaster and Fanatec but I got no inkling as to how robust they are. If you do find one, please let us know!
