  1. I like the how the first image is like a metaphor for how Porsche has entered the scene. And yeah, those night shots with the AM turned out rather splendid.
  2. Despite your best efforts in those shots, the Panamera is still one ugly piece of metal. Post redeemed with the GT2 though! :)
  3. The Crew 2? A post went up on the official blog of The Crew last month announcing that major updates for the game were coming to an end. The additional police vehicles are still on their way but after that it’s going to be pretty quiet until they have “details to share”. Generally this means work is stopping on the current and they are getting ready to reveal the next one. And from the sentence below found in the post itself, it begs to reason that this is likely what’s happening: “Today we want to inform you that we won’t be releasing any major updates in the coming months, but rest assured that The Crew has only just begun” – The Crew blog The need to be a bit coy and try not to say too much but leaving enough hint in there to raise an eyebrow is personally what I take from that. So let’s say that The Crew 2 is what’s going on here, and that we will see it being revealed like its predecessor at E3. The big question that comes to my mind is where will the new one be set? Could it use the USA again or will they go for somewhere else? Perhaps their native homeland of France would be a good pick. And with the problems plenty of players expressed about the first one, will they take this on board and look to titles such as Forza Horizon 3 for inspiration and ideas? All I can say is, I hope so. As even though it was a new IP from a brand new studio, Ivory Tower's The Crew was hugely ambitious, and despite the lukewarm start it did keep on improving, receiving two chunky expansions and several patches and features, including a photo mode. There is a good chance this has nothing at all to do with a new The Crew, but I really hope it is. As I want to see what this team can do and how they can put into practice the lessons they have learned from watching players and paying attention to their feedback. If it’s about a third expansion then that would be a real surprise, then again you can never really predict what this studio is doing as let’s face it, not many saw the graphical overhaul and weather update coming, no matter how many people actually wanted it. [via The Crew blog]
  4. The numbers that the Scorpio will do and the little tweaks and clever workings such as default 16x AF done at the system level, along with DirectX 12 being baked into the GPU, will make this perform better than what that 6 TF figure would make you imagine being possible in a PC scope. Doing Forza 6 at 4K resolution with a full grid, weather, and at Ultra settings with typical 70-90% usage before any optimisation is promising.
  5. The presumed second expansion was thought to be something to do with Porsche right? Obviously that doesn't look to be the case, so what's the thinking for Expansion #2 now?
  6. Forza Horizon 3 Porsche Pack The good news continues to spread out across the racing sphere in regards to Porsche availability, as it has just been announced that Porsche and Turn 10 have struck an “in-depth six-year partnership” together... and it kicks off immediately with the release of the ‘Porsche Car Pack’ for Forza Horizon 3. From the catalogue of Porsche comes seven models, ranging from the classic to the modern. Fans of the marque should be more than happy with what is on offer too, with standouts such as the 911 (993) GT2 and 1973 911 Carrera RS being my personal picks of the list. FH3: Porsche Car Pack 1955 Porsche 550A Spyder 1960 Porsche 718 RS 60 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 1995 Porsche 911 GT2 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 2016 Porsche Cayman GT4 2017 Porsche Panamera Turbo With the epic selection that Assetto Corsa brought to their game, we hope that Turn 10 take some inspiration from that and look to bring some of the models that are not so well known to their current release and future iterations. I also reaaaallly hope that the days of exclusive Porsche – or any premier marque for that matter – licensing is dead and buried, and is something we will no longer have to put up with. And wow, there isn’t a single SUV in sight! ;) Event #1 Basket of Goodies 14th – 17th April Win the Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 and more! 7. That is awesome to see how quickly they did a turnaround on this and also the freebie Porsche offerings too. I wonder if this is a prerequisite of the license now though as Assetto Corsa did the same thing with the trio they gave away? I find it amusing that there isn't an SUV in sight as this is one place AC received criticism with theirs. Really hope there's no "only we can have this" type agreement amongst this deal. Keep it open Porsche, please!
  8. Gran Turismo Will Finally Have Porsche! After damn near 20 years, Porsche is finally making its official appearance in Gran Turismo. The iconic brand has been sorely missed from the racing titan, except for a hidden away attempt back in the GT3 days where Kazunori Yamauchi tried to get his own 996 GT3 into the game, but unfortunately had to suffer the disappointment of not being able to make this happen because EA went and snatched the licence all for themselves, meaning the car was made unplayable or removed depending on the disc's region. In this the year of two-thousand-and-seventeen, that exclusivity hostage taking of the famous German manufacturer has now been severed, and now the marques’ legends and backlog are starting to show up in so many top racing titles that you could easily forget the whole sorry affair even happened. (I however won’t and in fact do still cry at least once a month thinking about it :() Porsche's inclusion in the forthcoming GT Sport was revealed through a posting on the official PlayStation Spain twitter, where an image containing the very highly-sought after modern Porsche 911 GT3 RS was paired with the news about the game's European Beta starting this weekend. Naturally the realisation that Porsche was finally in Gran Turismo, quickly overtook the whole ‘Woohoo Euro Beta is here!’ excitement. This announcement was quickly followed by more glorious images of Porsche metal (albeit the same model) from GT Sport's photo and Scapes modes. Initial impressions of the Beta from those lucky sods in the USA who have been able to play seem pretty positive too, apart from those sounds. They’re better sure, but when you got the competition blasting out those authentic sounds you need to step this up in your own game. [gallery type=rectangular" link="file" size="seven-post-image" ids="6728,6729,6726] What is interesting is that we are probably likely to see GT Sport and the new Forza Motorsport 7 come out around the same time, or at least know of and will have seen both in action with the presumable Forza 7 debut being at this year’s E3. And with the new Forza being a poster-child for Project Scorpio, that shouldn't be looking too shabby either. Yep, things are looking good for the racing fan yet again! GT Sport is still slated for a 2017 release and with the improvements being seen and this announcement of Porsche being in, things are only getting better and the delay is looking ever more like the right decision. Rough for RUF? Perhaps not many of you are even thinking about this now that Porsche are in but I want to know what happens to RUF now? As much as I love the 911 in most of its guises and a number of the brand’s offerings past and present, I still adore RUF’s CTR ‘Yellowbird’ and their R turbo, Rt12 and others. It would be a real shame to lose these but then if it comes down to having to choose between either Porsche or RUF, then the former is going to be the popular choice, and rightly so. However in my opinion, it would be a shame to lose RUF completely.
  9. My goodness the visual quality of these things in this game are going to be unreal! It's crazy it has taken this long for Porsche to come to what is probably the best known of all the racing games.
  10. POLL OPEN Don't forget if you entered and can vote* then you MUST vote, for your entry to be valid! *those with less than 10 posts can still enter but will not be able to cast a vote
  11. Awesome in-motion shots and I can see why you really like that racing duel image. I'd keep that one in mind for a future 'tbc'.
  12. Unbelievable shots galore in here! :cbme2: That first Centenario shot is seriously good. Like how you have caught it cornering hard and at speed. And those M4 GTS pics are exhibiting some serious GT epic lighting quality. I would say your test worked out splendidly. :D
  13. Damn man, at least one of those latest shots is prime for being an entry in the latest 'the banner contest'. (personally I'd go #4)
  14. Cool shots supe, I like the TDU-esque ones the best. Can never get enough of a well shot McLaren F1 either. :p
  15. As there was less than 10 entries the deadline has been extended. I will have another look tomorrow and if that amount is reached (or exceeded) I will proceed to get the poll up then.
  16. This is an awesome approach to the theme. Nice one! Don't forget your 'entry post' text though!
  17. I did not like HP 2010 much. The handling was really bad imo with the very noticeable delay in the control of the car and the auto-drift nonsense. It was very polished and looked amazing though.
  18. Themselves has always been one that I've never been sure of but it is actually meant to be for the singular, and only recently has 'themself' became more used, but as the link below mentions, is not widely accepted. "Themselves or themself" | Oxford Dictionaries
  19. UPDATE: Adding the recommended fix mentioned in post #3 has resolved this until the Chromium developers sort it out, hopefully. ORIGINAL POST: A rather annoying little bugger of an error is showing itself for many Chrome users who go about their internet usage as they have always done. This error that shows up when the user tends to be entering in details to a textarea or the like, is a security measure meant to stop XSS (Cross-Site Scripting) that hackers and unscrupulous sorts utilise to snatch important personal details and info from users. However it is also flagging up innocent actions such as using online forms with WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editors and embedded items that use scripts to display their retrieved contents (such as tweets) as incidences of this. And if you are posting a new thread or reply on here when using the WYSIWYG editor then unfortunately you may receive this error. :( More often than not the issue arises if a link to something on the originating domain (ie forum.turboduck.net) is included, so if you need any of those in your posts/threads then make sure to switch to the Standard editor and it should process properly. From some testing I have done myself it doesn't always occur and tends to happen when a link is present in the contents of the editor. Post made in WYSIWYG editor: (will Preview and Post fine) Link added to Post made in WYSIWYG editor: (will cause ERR_BLOCKED_BY_XSS_AUDITOR error) Interestingly, it does not appear to show if you click the A/A (Switch Editor to Source Mode) button/icon to switch the editor to the standard editor. Change Editor mode to standard: (will Preview and Post fine) This issue has been reported to the Chromium developers but from the last few replies to it they see it as doing what it is meant to and have marked it as a WontFix. Funny enough the issue was brought up by a developer of XenForo and a search for others impacted by this are plentiful. There is a method to stop it happening whereby you can tell Chrome to shut off this protection but seeing as things worked before, this seems something of a last resort to look into doing.
