nfs payback Need for Speed PayBack To Get Online Free Roam In 2018
Eudemon replied to TurboDuck's topic in Driving & Racing Games
This could be a very interesting addition (and influence the future of NFS) depending on how they go about doing it. -
Need for Speed Payback Online Free Roam Online free roam is coming to Need for Speed Payback in 2018 it has been announced and it will be free to all! Revealed through the official Need for Speed social media accounts along with a new year’s message and an image depicting a VW Beetle decked out in a 2018 livery being chased by a BMW Mini while fireworks are going off in the background, the new mode will be welcomed by current players and, could draw in those who waited. As who – providing the functionality allows it – doesn't like to host their own car meets and show off their classy looking motors to their mates and other randoms. [caption id=attachment_7605" align="aligncenter" width="800] Online free roam is coming to NFS Payback this year[/caption] There are no known details about how the mode will function, the player numbers supported, if police pursuits and/or traffic will be in, or even a release window for the update except for that it is still being worked on. However you can guarantee they will be getting plenty of feedback and requests from their community into how and what they want to see in it. And here’s hoping they don’t just listen to popular faces, but actually listen to their hardened fans who are not afraid to give constructive criticism and voice their concerns. As fans of free roam driving we will be keeping a look out for this and really do hope Ghost deliver with this new mode. And let's not forget that it will be going up against The Crew 2 and – if release schedules keep to their usual – Forza Horizon 4. Ah yes, it could again be another bumper year for the racing game this one.

Preparing Us For Assetto Corsa 2? An end of year blog post rounds off 2017 for the team at Kunos Simulazioni and at the helm of it is none other than Marco Massarutto, Assetto Corsa’s Brand & Product Manager. In it he wishes the community the best for 2018 and talks about the journey the game and his colleagues have been through, but it’s the end where a real hint towards Assetto Corsa 2 is made that is making people take notice. Unlike the posting made at the end of 2016, there is no real talk about content or plans for the current title which celebrated its third anniversary last month and coincided with the release of the exceptional Bonus Pack 3 on PC. In 2014 we launched version 1.0, in 2015 we introduced the Lamborghini licence and released the first version of the Nürburgring Nordschleife, based entirely on laserscan data. In 2016, we released the simulation to consoles, and announced the Porsche Programme, which brought the very best selection of Porsche cars in a genuine simulation after 13 years. In 2017, we celebrated the 70th anniversary of Ferrari with a dedicated pack that is one of the most successful DLC packages ever released for Assetto Corsa. Including all mentioned above, there was plenty of free and premium content put out, and support wasn’t just strong in DLC offered – a new sound fx system, and tweaks to the physics have been released periodically in the pursuit to provide a truly authentic experience. The Future Is Assetto Corsa 2? As much as Kunos would have liked to have made fan wishes for night and weather happen, the engine limitations stop this from being the case, however they have never shied away from the desire to do it, albeit needing to wait for a new game. And so the image that accompanies the blog post itself is surely another tease. [caption id=attachment_7599" align="aligncenter" width="1280] Starry sky, pretty fireworks... wait that's a track at night![/caption] If you still need convincing then I will end with these words from Massarutto: Even today, the community keeps asking for something new, and that is great as it means that you continue to keep us involved in fuelling your hobby, passion and training tools. To meet your expectations, and to support the features that our current technology cannot manage, some – actually a lot of – work will be required. So, it’s time to move forward. When it arrived, there had been nothing like Assetto Corsa before. We are working hard to replicate this feeling with what there is to come in the future. [via Assetto Corsa]

I made some progress with the helping family thing but I still get annoyed with some of the more repeatable requests and asks. The second started off well enough and has done me well in some areas, but others I am still non-willing to act on because I see little-to-no response to the work I have done or am doing. Ironically, this is detrimental to both causes because one causes a negative reaction to the other. Personally I am at a better place than I was in 2016. As for professionally, I think I need to live up more to my username on here.

Happy New Year! Yeah, I'm late but hey what else is new. :cheeky: (that's something that will not change) Another brand new year is here and for many it can mean a new start, new outlook and anything else you want. So as is typical at the start of a new one I want to know what are your resolutions this time, and what are you hoping for in 2018? If 2017 wasn't great for you and is one you would rather forget then I am sorry to hear that and wish that 2018 is a great one for you. I will post my own after others have done theirs (if any of you do) and hey maybe we can return back here in a year and see if we made progress with our wants.

Gran Turismo released in Japan 20 years ago on PlayStation
Eudemon replied to Eudemon's topic in Driving & Racing Games
GT2 was an incredible sequel. The 'more' they added to that game over the original was quite unbelievable. Even their little foray into rally being (at the time anyway) quite well executed.- 3 replies

GTA Online: The Doomsday Heist - Out Dec 12th!
Eudemon replied to Eudemon's topic in Gaming Discussion
I guess that's the thing: if you don't know the smart way to play then making money becomes a grind. In a game like this you either need to know and enjoy the ways of making good money, or you need to be in a crew that can help you do so. :)- 28 replies

GTA Online: The Doomsday Heist - Out Dec 12th!
Eudemon replied to Eudemon's topic in Gaming Discussion
Yes indeedy but circumstances mean it isn't possible, unfortunately. :( I understand this side and the other. I mean GTAO has been very good at hooking the whales with their prices and even getting casuals to stump up due to their pricing of items but it's hard to disagree with this approach when they deliver so much for nothing. I know "nothing" isn't really true and that time is precious to many, but if the items can be acquired through normal play even if it's like 10+ hours for a main item, then honestly I don't really see harm in that. If everything was available straight away, things would get boring in my opinion. This is exactly why microtransactions should be there. It shouldn't be done in such a way as to push everyone towards forking out real money in order to get the content they want but at the same time there needs to be a balance to make the need to actually play the game have to be done. We all started out as randoms at some point. Also it's obvious people have found their own ways to tackle certain missions and heists meaning you might see their way compared to yours as wrong. To me the aircraft and military vehicles seem well priced, it's the cars and customisation stuff that is where they appear to gouge.- 28 replies

I still play the game on my 360 mate, had it since day 1. :p And I don't believe there is cross-gen compatibility which makes sense, but is still a shame.- 28 replies

Is it within the warranty period or are you looking at them to offer a repair at cost?

[HEADLINE]20 Years Of Gran Turismo[/HEADLINE] A legend was born this day 20 years ago in Japan, with the release of a racing game called Gran Turismo. It is unreal to think how long it has been since I first sought out interviews, previews and images in magazines and scoured for mentions of it in the accompanying disc's video footage, but it has, and it is still one of the most memorable gaming experiences of my life. Kaz tweeted a pic of the Gran Turismo 20th Anniversary birthday cake! Powering my console up to hear that familiar ding and then be greeted with that masterful intro that had a remix of a top Manic Street Preachers track was a sight to behold. Beautifully paired up with the action going on and delivering a real racing vibe straight off the screen got you ready to race right from the moment the menu appeared. Since then, the series has had its ups and downs and it's spawned countless competitors of varying quality but one thing that cannot be denied is that a Gran Turismo game still has its own distinct way of doing things - and this will continue to be the case no doubt with Kaz at the helm. The excellent Gran Turismo fansite GTPlanet has done a piece on the history of the game that is well worth a read. :)

That was fun to watch and you could see the different handling characteristics from both cars. You can also see that you can put the power down quicker in the P1 whereas you need to wait for the 918 to settle. -

Ever since the acquiring of the TEST DRIVE license by Bigben Interactive from Atari, all we've known is that they were intending on bringing the series back, but since that there has been nothing. If you looked at Bigben's portfolio at the time you might have scoffed and not been to interested but since then they have been involved in and announced some promising titles like WRC 7 and the new Isle of Man TT motorcycle racer. So what do you think, can they nail down TDU 3 or will it take a few goes before they get it good, and will see it in some form in 2018? It's easy to forget, but if the typical Forza 2-year alternate release schedule continues then 2018 will also have us seeing Forza Horizon 4. Would a TDU 3 be able to contend with that, or would they be better keeping it until the end of the current-gen?

Gran Turismo Sport Gets A Proper Campaign The big update for Gran Turismo Sport that many have been waiting for is here. The single player ‘GT League’ mode comes via today’s 1.09 update and is effectively the good old GT single player campaign many adore the series for. Launching only back in October, the latest Gran Turismo game did appear to be suffering from a less than stellar response from fans of previous iterations. It’s online focus and bare bones 'campaign' saw players taking a 'wait and see' approach, resulting in substantial price drops, especially across Europe. GT League However, the tides turned when the news about the upcoming release of ‘GT League’ and more cars came out, and those fans who were on the fence, started to snap up copies. Series names such as 'Sunday Cup' and 'Clubman Cup' will be familiar to players of the games from before. It's not too shabby either, as there is a decent amount of content here to start off with, and with a promise to add more over time it is sure to keep players' attention in the future also. [caption id=attachment_7433" align="aligncenter" width="800] Hello old friends![/caption] Leagues do have a Driver Level requirement in order to enter and so racking up those wins will be important. Twelve Brand New Cars! A batch of twelve gloriously detailed cars from the continents of Europe, North America and Asia make their way in through this update too. Included amongst them are favourites like the: Nissan Skyline R32 and R34, Ferrari F40, Lamborghini Countach LP400, Chevrolet Corvette C3 Stingray Convertible, and even a Volkswagen Samba Bus! GT Sport: 'Holiday Update' Cars Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type A (FD) Nissan Skyline GT-R V・spec II (R32) Nissan Skyline GT-R V・spec II Nür (R34) Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Lamborghini Countach LP400 Ferrari F40 Ferrari Enzo Ferrari KTM X-BOW R Suzuki Swift Sport Volkswagen Samba Bus Type 2 (T1) Chris Holstrom Concepts 1967 Chevy Nova Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible (C3) New Track Layout Even though it’s not a whole new environment, a demanding new layout comes in the form of the “Kyoto Driving Park + Miyabi”. As you can tell this is created by joining together the two tracks to make one super circuit. And as if it wasn’t enough when heading the right way around the track, the reverse is an even bigger challenge and will be sure to test even the most hardened racer. We have added the “Yamagiwa + Miyabi” layout, a 6.8km long track connecting the “Yamagiwa” and ”Miyabi” tracks of the Kyoto Driving Park. The connections add 2 hairpins to the track which increase the track’s level of technical difficulty. Other Stuff Another notable addition that comes with the 1.09 update is the new “Season’s Greetings” group for Scapes which contains multiple settings to help players add some seasonal joy and festivities to their images.
