On Saturday, the official website for Shueisha's Jump Square magazine posted the cover for the January issue, which is revealing next Saturday that a theatrical anime film adaptation of Takeshi Konomi's The Prince of Tennis manga is in production. The original manga followed Ryoma Echizen and his tennis team as they rose through Japan's local and national tournaments. The manga ran for 379 installments between July of 1999 and March of 2008, and the 42 compiled volumes have sold over 40 million copies. Konomi has since launched a manga sequel called Shin Tennis no Ouji-sama (The New Prince of Tennis) in Jump Square in March of 2009. (The fourth compiled book volume of the new series is shipping this month.) Viz Media will publish the 40th manga volume in North America next January. The manga already inspired a television anime series, a string of original video anime projects, two earlier double-billed theatrical anime films, and a live-action film. The Japanese character goods retailer Chara-Ani began accepting pre-orders for Strike Witches boxer briefs on Friday. The 2,100-yen (about US$25.00) briefs come in three styles — for the characters Yoshika Miyafuji, Mio Sakamoto, and Sanya V. Litvyak — and in the Japanese sizes large and medium. Each of the briefs features an illustration of the respective character by Strike Witches creator Humikane Shimada on the front, along with the insignia of the anime's 501st Joint Fighter Wing Strike Witches (written with "501th") on the rear. A popular quote from the anime, "Pantsu ja nai kara hazukashiku nai mon" ("I'm not embarrassed since these aren't my underpants!"), refers to how the female characters' combat outfits are not actually underpants, despite how similar they look. [img width=160 height=160]http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk241/Eudemon_Randy/c10b00038l2.jpg The pre-orders end on December 17, and each customer is limited to 10 pairs of each style and size. The briefs will ship in late February, although Chara-Ani will also sell them early at the DK Anime Complex Fes 2011 event on January 23. Chara-Ani also sold Lucky Star and Space Battleship Yamato underpants last year. Kadokawa Shoten's Nyantype magazine offered a limited-edition Strike Witches Pantsu Ja Nai Kubi Makura (Strike Witches They're-Not-Underpants Neck Pillow) to its readers last year as well. Test Drive Unlimited 2 Extras + Euro Pre-orders & Release Date
Eudemon replied to Eudemon's topic in Driving & Racing Games
There's nothing to stop those people ordering from the UK though. Also I get what people are saying but one thing to remember, as much as you want Atari/NBP to say 'yes the pre-order exclusives will/may become available after the release of the game', they can't as they are bound to the agreement they have made with all those retailers. The point of these bonuses is to make people buy from that shop over another, if Atari were to say the above then people would just buy from wherever making these "retailer pre-order exclusives" seem less attractive. So basically never say never but no-one can say 'yes' this early. Note: Again I know nothing, so don't take this as a yes they will come post release. -
That tunnel shot is

Manga creator Ken Akamatsu (Negima! Magister Negi Magi, Love Hina) revealed in a Livedoor interview posted on Thursday that he want his J-Comi manga website to legally distribute dōjinshi (self-published works) that parody other works. Akamatsu announced last week that his website is posting out-of-print manga for free with advertising support, and the site has just launched its beta test. Akamatsu said that manga parody dōjinshi are basically unauthorized now, but added that they would be legal if the creators of the parodied original works gave their permission. (Unlike in the United States, the current Japanese Copyright Law does not have a fair-use clause to allow parodies and similar derivative works without requiring permission. The sales of dōjinshi at Comic Market and similar conventions are essentially unauthorized, even though the restrictions on derivative materials are largely ignored and unenforced at these conventions.) Akamatsu suggests putting advertising in dōjinshi and splitting the advertising revenues between the original creators and the dōjinshi creators. Akamatsu added that he believes that "Japanese dōjinshi are a important part of our cultural heritage." He noted that dōjinshi that are often scanned and released widely online within hours of Comic Market. Since parody dōjinshi themselves infringe on copyrights (under current Japanese laws), dōjinshi creators have little recourse when their works are uploaded online without authorization. However, Akamatsu said that if the original creators gave their permission, then the dōjinshi creators can also claim copyrights on their works. J-Comi's Beta Test & Love Hina As Akamatsu announced on the official J-Comi blog on Monday, the website's beta test period launched at noon on Friday (10:00 p.m. on Thursday EST). Even though his Love Hina manga is still in print, Akamatsu is posting all 14 volumes for free for one month to test the viability of the business model. Each Japanese-language volume has six pages of advertising and no digital rights management (DRM). Akamatsu suggests that personal computer and Apple iPad users download the high-resolution PDF (Adobe's Portable Document Format) version of the manga, while Apple iPhone and Android smartphone users can read the low-resolution version due to faster downloads. There are also embedded comic viewers in the website for users of personal computer and Japanese mobile phones who do not wish to download. Amazon Kindle users must first download the PDF files on a personal computer and transfer them over USB. Watch some videos, and know that stills hardly represent a game in motion as you don't know what post processing is being done when in motion. Believe me I have heard the good and the bad but for the most part the actual driving and racing seems to be really good. The unlocking structure the game seems to have is weird but then PD are Japanese and they love levelling up. lol I believe the Standard thing will go down as one of the worst choices ever in gaming but if like me you didn't care about them anyway then GT5 is very good at what it's always done. There's one guy who is an actual track racer and he has vids of him playing and showing off GT5, watching him drive in that game is really a joy to behold. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TNCfoNLDI-Q
