  1. It should. Just get out of TDUPE and restart it. Then try again. If that fails could you please tell me the car? Cause it's working fine on the few I tested.
  2. That's not an error with the .NET framework, the TDUPE can't load your databse file - so your installation directory is most likely configured incorrectly or something is wrong with your database. Please post the contents of TDUEditor.exe.config and your TDU installation directory.
  3. What IS THE ERROR? I can't do anything if I don't know what is wrong. You say it's not working on Win 7 x64...well it is here. Working fine here on Win 7 32, Win XP Pro, Windows Server 2003 R2 64, Win Vista 64 and Vista 32.
  4. No, you also need to change number of gears. I am unsure about online, I may test later. You have not told me what they are. I doubt it. TDUPE itself will only crash (and not load at all) if a).NET framework is incorrectly installed or b)Something is different or wrong with the TDU installation such as not being able to locate an installation directory. My current build of TDUPE runs fine on .NET 2.0 btw so if you can run Djey's tools you can run TDUPE.
  5. Do you have Djey's Patch 1.67 installed? For now, just uninstall the physics and you should be good.
  6. No, it doesn't. Just tried then. The megapack requires a separate serial which you get when you download it. Plus, it's illegal.
  7. You're gonna have to reset your database back to the original with DB.Bnk. However, this should not be happening at all and I'm sure there is a simpler fix but since I am unable to replicate this bug on 8 test computers I can't really help.
  8. No. You need the legal megapack. http://tdupe.com/guide_allowed_online.htm
  9. Replace your DB.Bnk with the original. And remember you need community patch 1.67 installed for stuff to work.
  10. Never really have a word of the week, so I'll just list my 5 most used words this week: 1. A 2. Blowjob 3. Me 4. Give 5. Pesticide
  11. It's discontinued. The entire section for name changes and physics installation is generated by TDUPE. Tool has a very early Alpha version of 2.5 which generates name changes. If you open install.pch in Notepad++ or some other text editor that's not Notepad you can see what in general is going on. It is possible to change the ID of the car it is being installed on, but I recommend not trying it. Changing 2 values in the physics installer would fix what car it installs on. It is impossible using Djey's and my own tools to be able to install the physics on whatever you like, which is why the TDUPK is the best option. That's the general reason why I wrote TDUPE, so I could bodyswap. I have maybe 2 mods installed at the moment cause I have to reset my installation every few days to test TDUPE bugs and new features, but none of them are the one Tool recommends. If Tool doesn't want people to bodyswap, I don't really care, but it's his choice. From what I can tell Atari doesn't want me using a NoCD patch either, but I do unless I have a sudden desire to play online.
  12. Well you'll have to put it back into the Ruf Dealership using the TDU Modding tools. Then you have to download the latest TDUPE, so this doesn't happen to you.
  13. Meh, if Tool wanted people to be able to allow the physics on other cars, he would bundle a performance pack in with the installer.
  14. I'm gonna get one for my girlfriend's mother who is somewhat eyesight impaired and can't use a normal iPod. She'd definitely use it for books and for email.
  15. Csuse he is cool and knows what the community wants. Touch it. The circumstances here are completely different because if someone tries to use this online, it will fail. It's my pleasure, it really is. And it is what we really need, I have received plenty of PMs from people who say "OMG we need that!". It may not be what Atari needs though... try thinking from the view of your customers. Just cause you're a mod in an Atari forum and my tool perhaps breaks Atari's rules, it does not break the rules here. Oh, and if being an Atari mod means you are in contact with management people from Atari, please tell them to get TDU2 out instead of worrying about small cheats available for a near-4 year old game. And yeah, drag should be under the top speed tab. Cheers all.
  16. Yah sorry, don't know the guy that well. His yard is connected to mine so I've had him over for BBQ once but never really got around to discussing his cars, I was making fun of him for having a helipad on his roof.
  17. Err, I'm not a huge racing fan or knowledgable about race cars, but I don't think so. Thy're mostly commodores, a Lada and a a Ford Sierra. His website: http://www.championsbrockexperience.com.au/
  18. Well cause I pay my employee's salary, I know full well they can't afford to be driving anything above say... a moped. (Just kidding somewhat, I think one of the managers has a Porsche) Generally, I don't really pay attention to what people drive, so I kinda have to limit this list to people I see more than once a month. Which is: a) My girlfriend - drives my Toyota Camry cause it's the only automatic I've got. b) My childhood best friend and occasional business partner - Chevrolet Corvette Z06 - 2005 model I think, has a pretty dodgy right hand drive conversion. c) My extremely wealthy good friend (he makes the Queensland Rich list) - 2007 Daihatsu Terios. That last one is a bit of an in-joke between my circle of car knowledgeable friends. My good friend has a large collection of rare and expensive cars including a 911 of some sort and a Ferrari TestaRossa. He was also one of the first people to be approached about importing a Zonda in Australia. However his daily driver is the Terios. Which is good for the rest of us because his car knowledge and business knowledge are both somewhat superior to everyone elses. So when he interrupts one of our conversations pointing out a mistake we've made or giving us advice the general response is "Shut up <random insult>, you drive a Terios". We also make many jokes about how it's engine is measured in mousepower etc. Cars around the neigbourhood are varied. Everyone in my neighbourhood is loaded...but there closest Lamborghini or Ferrari dealership is 1000km away. Plus rich people are generally old. So as a result...everyone has a Mercedes. Or a BMW. Or a Lexus. Or an R8. Seriously, there are about 100 people on this hill - it's a gated community - and not one person doesn't have one of the cars I mentioned above. There are 7 Audi R8's on the hill, around 20 M3s ,20 C class Mercs and the M Class is a pretty common school run vehicle here. There's some guy I don't know too well - Peter Champion - he owns all of Peter Brock's private and race vehicles (he owns a Peter Brock Museum) as well as some million dollar super exclusive muscle car (Mustang of some sort I think) I haven't seen which he keeps locked up.
  19. I don't know much about TDUPE or how it works, but if I may interject... This Dauer (wonderful mod btw) adds a new engine type to the game, one that is not programmed into TDUPE. So if you load the Dauer into TDUPE, the engine type will remain blank, and you will not be able to save any changes unless you change the engine type. And awesome mod, is the fastest I've ever taken around the raceway.
  20. I could. Less drag is not better, it just makes the car go faster. If everyone is just trying to make their cars faster I should just unrelease the software.
  21. Meh, well you can change to MyBB or phpBB or whatever, but as you said users could get annoyed. So pretty much you have to buy a VB4 license. I am willing to pay for the software if it helps. Anyway good luck with eveything.
  22. To elaborate a little... I don't see the point in people who release software for free and then complain when someone sticks it on another site...cause all I can think of is positive benefits: 1. You post a link to my site - I get publicity. 2. You upload the software to you're site - fantastic, that's less bandwidth for me. 3. You don't give me credit and put your name on it instead - awesome. That saves me from being held responsible for things that go wrong, it frees me from all support obligation so I can just relax and watch noobs screwing up their game (you have no idea how entertaining that is). I am considering a license for 2.5/3.0 that requires modders to chuck a credit into physics installers or whatnot. But I really don't care.
