  1. I've written a tuning kit editor 4 times now for TDUPE. None I'm particularly keen on. So a fully functioning kit editor or just a kit switcher (e.g putting the CCR's tuning kit on a Chrysler) will be in the works. Both are rather fiddly things to do. Don't give a damn.
  2. I gave you a link to the megapack. which you can purchase in Australia and should be fine with in other Oceanic regions such as Tasmania and New Zealand.
  3. In Australia you can generally pick up TDU in the bargian bin for under $10AUD. You'll be paying $40 or $50 if you buy the download - the best compromise is eBay where you can get it for $20 or so. The megapack will you cost you in general two or three times as much as the game itself ($30): http://www.atari-store.eu/pc-games/buy-download-Test-Drive-Unlimited-Megapack.html
  4. Don't worry about a patch. I'd recommend using the TDUPK feature instead. So instead of using "Export Instruction" in TDUPE, use "Export Current Car". That way people can load it into their games on any other car they want (my Veyron is not on the Edonis).
  5. It's not an old thread. There are no rules on TDU:C that specifically pertain to bumping and on most forums the limit to bumping is 30 days and this thread has had posts into this month. Each of these "bumps" are not harming anyone either. I'd consider a "bump" to be something saying nothing like "good mod ur awesome dude", rather than the posts you are mentioning reporting bugs (which Tool could find useful for further development of this mod) and asking questions (however offtopic they may be). These bump posts are (much) more relevant to the topic than you're anti-bump posts and to my annoyed rant. Though if we are suggesting things, can we please ban people who complain about rules that don't exist, yet don't bother to try to use correct grammar.
  6. It means TDUMT can not read the database. So try resetting your database to default. Alternatively you can try my TDU Peformance Editor and do the camera swap from within it.
  7. No I won't. Those slots are used by the Facel Vega and Bugatti which have perfect physics. And some people aren't using those mods so the default data is weird. Feel free to do it yourself though, just don't redistribute it.
  8. Waaaay off topic, sorry Tool. No. They do not exist in the game. The Rims and gauges do, as does the physics data, but the models themselves do not exist. And if you try to make them exist (me and Djey have both tried independently) you just get the boring red and yellow default car. All the ones mentioned (which are available as DLC on the 360), plus some others including the AC 427 and Mazda MX-5. Yeah, they have the slots, they don't have any 3D models though. And if you try to apply a 3D model - it fails. Djey and myself have discussed it briefly and there would be ways to add models to these slots, but much more research is required and it won't be happening soon. And awesome release Tool - lots of different versions all released at once :O
  9. Once someone figures it out...there are slots for the Diablo and Cadillac Sixteen and Mazda and all that which you should be able to use, but can't since they all show up as the default car. Anyway, Viper looks excellent can't wait to...do whatever with it.
  10. ^^If my editor can do that, I am waay more awesome than I thought. :p
  11. I am just going to throw in my two cents here...how the heck can you people tell the difference? I have seen Vipers in real life. Convertible and coupe. And with the exception of one lacking a roof, I can't discern any differences. In Vegas there were a line of Vipers all apparently different versions (one an SRT-8) and I couldn't tell the difference at all. You people are waay to observant over every little detail over every little model of car. It's insane. They all looke the bloody same - the LP670 is just a LP640 with a spoiler and some stickers. But according to zoqqer's development thread the steering wheel on an LP670 is not the same as that on an LP640. I've been in the cockpit of an LP670 and did not notice the error on the mod until someone pointed it out. Obviously, I am not the most observant person and I may not pay as much attention to cars as I get to use them every week. So I'll take my point a little out cotnext and focus it onto something I am genuinely interested in...aircraft. I can name hundreds of different planes off the top of my head - I have to be the only person in the world who can tell the difference between each variant of the 737 just by looking and I probably know my way around my Cessna 150 than the people who built it do. But, if someone in the Flight Simulator community was to get an existing model of the Boeing 737-800 and converted it into a P8 Poseidon but forgot to change the winglets to the 767 style...I wouldn't care at all. I would still fly the plane in FSX and just have fun with it. So who cares what this Viper looks like...because to me it looks like a Viper Coupe. I don't know exactly what the average age on this forum is - I thought most people would've been adults when I first joined - but I'm assuming from the way everyone carries on over every little detail of every car you are either all kids, or you are all retired and belong to some fastidious car club. I'm guessing the former. So I have some advice to enjoy this mod, and all other mods which door handles might be the wrong shape or the rims are the wrong size - get a life. Get a job, get a girlfriend, get friends, go out, forget the condoms, experiment with drugs...whatever it is kids do these day. Then when you get home, you're generally too tired or too drunk to pay attention to a digital headlight that's 2 inches to the left of where it should be. And before you all call me a hypocrit for writing this - the only reason I am typing this extremely long semi-rant at this hour is because I'm out of Malibu.
  12. 1. Are you going to File->Save Data or pessing Save All Changes? 2. Are you running the program as administrator? 3. Is your language set correctly (in Settings->Locality)
  13. There is no references folder in the main download. The download with the references folder was only available for an hour or two. What error message are you getting?
  14. Download the latest version. I thought I mentioned this a few posts back. In the current release of 2.0 the dealership editor is completely non functioning. http://forum.turboduck.net/showpost.php?p=263439&postcount=157
  15. Yeah the line is left empty in the latest release and it will generally automatically detect it if it is on the primary OS (C: ) drive
  16. TDUPE ONLY affects those 2 files. I just tried the exact same test (Renaming Shelby GT500 to GT500 Elenor) with no problem whatsoever, by changing the N/A name to Elenor. To avoid a drastic reinstall, download the community patch 1.67d (a requirement for TDUPE) and copy over all the files in the DB and DB_LANGUE folders. Another thing to do is check your TDUPE settings. Open TDUPE and go to "Settings->Locality" and make sure US is set, cause it could've been set to something else and overwritten the other language file. And on a side note, are you running XP? Cause every bug report I've had like this stems from XP.
  17. My dekstop has the lovely New York New York Hotel in Vegas and some random bridge in California. I took these both on my girlfriends camera while in the states: My Dekstop [890Kb] I'll post pictures from my laptops and the more work oriented computer tomorrow.
  18. In the latest release there is no references folder :p Read the config guide posted in the first post and update your installation directory. Sorry, no idea. Could be one of many problems. Please post what you are trying to do, make sure you have everything required. That's all I can help now as I am (violently) sick.
  19. I've already done this for my game. Since I'm constantly resetting my database and reinstalling TDU to try and deal with support issues and for playing online, I just made one big installer to return all my mods back to how I wanted - models, physics, dealers. Though it doesn't use official replacements - for example the Lexus IS350 becomes the Lamborghini Reventon. But like eveything else I do, I don't give a rat's about people playing online. For what is the point of a super patch if you can't patch what actually needs patching (the physics).
  20. Bah. I've tried on occasion to copy the timed lap of the circuit I made in editor mode over into the game but it fails if you just replace another time challenge. :( Anyway, good luck on this. It'll be good to have some (more) new challenges to try.
  21. Nice. Very nice. A lap of the raceway could be a nice addition as well.
  22. Both of the people getting errors...install .NET framework 3.5 and see what happens.
