  1. Kinda really neglected this thread... :(
  2. Havent posted in this thread in forever, still absolutely in love with my ST150, a few changes since last time I posted- most noticeable, painted all the flat grey plastics a sorta satin/semi gloss black (including the headlight casings), tinted the tail lights, fitted ST badges, got new tyres (215/40/17 Bridgestone RE003), fitted 12mm rear hub spacers- fancy stancy- and fitted a front splitter from a company in the UK called Triple R Composites. Have Eibach 30mm lowering springs on their way, hopefully here in the next couple of weeks.
  3. So its a few days later than I intended- I actually took this shot a few days ago but didn't get around to doing anything with it, as i've had a really busy weekend, but here we are! Forza 6! More coming soon. Like... really soon. edit: See? Still got it, if I may say so myself.
  4. First pic is brilliant. Looking forward to seeing what else you come out with :)
  5. Not nascar, more gt racing. But yes, mostly American muscle cars, though it was split into 2 classes- under and over 2.5 litres, so your lower class was Alfa sprints, Datsun 510s, Toyota celicas etc, above you'd find mustangs, challengers, camaros and such. Most of the muscle cars of the time would be eligible- cars that immediately come to mind that WOULDN'T be are the charger, charger daytona and coronet as they are nascar/stock car models and weren't trans Am racers in real life --- Post Updated --- Know what- when you actually go through the cars in the game and think about what was eligible under the rules back in the day, your left with a HUUUGE list, and it gets a little hard to figure whether something should be allowed or not, so how about a fantasy series where we no longer have to worry about homolgation etc. Trans Am cars are welcome (cougar eliminator, mustang boss 302 and gt, hemi cuda. Javelin etc), gt/le mans cars are welcome (only just- I'm thinking cobra s/c and 250 lusso, unless there was 3 classes, the top of which was proper le mans cars like the gt40 and 330 p4- which I'd be ok with), euro and Japanese lightweights like the rx3, BMW 2002 and 240z/skyline 2000gtr... Pretty much all the great race cars of the time built to a set class limit, with the potential for a higher class limit for le mans/GT cars, for multi class racing... This is getting complicated.
  6. So I know that we have a proper league in the works, but I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a trans Am series as well? I'm a massive fan of trans Am/historic touring cars etc, and fm6 offers a huge range of suitable cars and tracks. Keen to see the response to this idea, and if there's interest we can make something happen :)
  7. Hey all, feeling very inspired by everyone else's work, can't wait to get cracking on my own- watch this space, soon to be updated :)
  8. I usually end up with 4% transmission damage by the end of a race
  9. Yup, count me in, as long as the times work with my free time (which I don't have heaps of these days, hence my 6 month absences from the forum and such...)
  10. The brake pedal gives you the impression that you get feedback, but in reality, it just has a really strong spring behind it so you have to push really hard, and no I can't say that I've noticed any particular feedback from the clutch either
  11. Yep, it's just me shifting too quickly- i knew that ID physically put it in gear, but I was coming off the clutch before the game had registered the shift. I didn't know that the current gear display in the bottom right actually showed you when you can let the clutch out (goes from N to the gear you've selected). Just did a whole race without crunching a gear lol :)
  12. Ahoy-hoy everyone, it's only been forever, just like every time I disappear and return. Picked up forza 6, absolutely loving it, this is what forza 5 should have been, but I'm glad it wasn't, because they needed that crap to build on. Am using my cockpit/rig, also picked up a logitech g920 which is the business- seriously, if your looking for an xbox one/pc wheel, grab one, it's great. Am experiencing a little bug... Now, I know how to drive manual in real life, I've been using manual with clutch in forza games for even longer. I can not nail a shift, pretty much every single shift I do crunches gears. Usually downshifting. Sometimes a throttle blip will help, sometimes it won't, sometimes an excessive length of time coming off the clutch helps (usually ends up with me in the wall because I'm paying too much attention to that and not driving), usually it doesn't. I'm using a g27 h pattern shifter (it's my brothers, my 920 one should be here by the end of the week) and that has improved a little, as pretty much EVERY shift I made with the paddles (and clutch) was a mis-shift. Very very frustrating. Anyone else encountered this? Anyone got any tips??
  13. Love ya milli, mucho gracias
  14. I MADE IT FOR A CHANGE! Now to find a picture, i'm sure I took a picture of an NSX engine in FM5...
  15. Just sold my first car :( the rollamobile, as mrlololol- or harley, supraman, whatever he goes by these days- affectionately named it. Not my Levin, thats where the money is going. Such strong sad feels, a part of me just drove off into the night by someone who doesnt know the car at all. I will cry and go into a deep depression if I find it in a wrecking yard... :( Oh well... All good things must come to an end, and give way to better things.
  16. Far out, havent heard this song in years... Or Atreyu in general for that matter.
  17. So my missing pair of centre caps were replaced today. Painted the outer part to match the wheels, left the centre silver. Absolutely love it, finishes the wheels off perfectly. Also, couple of photos of the splitter
  18. I'm thinking weather may be in, but not dynamic- just selectable/random, same with night racing. I'd love to see some older circuits return, as well as the oddly missing Japanese circuits (I'm honestly not sure how I've survived without tsukuba). As always, some form of front wheel drive corolla would be a nice addition but I still don't see it, given the only usdm options are the rare ae82 fx16, or the perhaps not so rare, apparently only ever riced out and unloved ae92 corolla gts coupe. Regardless, keen to hear more, I'm sure the build up and hype will be massive around/after e3, but we all knew a fm6 announcement was coming soon.
  19. So I've got some more mods on their way- one actually arrived on Friday, and I fitted it, but I may refit it- also, no decent photos because its been raining for 3 days. Taken with my phone. Universal lip kit! Similar to an EZ-Lip, same basic idea really, flexible rubbery foamy material, sticks to things with double sided tape. Because of the shape of the bumper and the lip, I ended up with a splitter, but yknow what... I prefer that. So I have 2 used centre caps coming as well, I already have 2 that came with the car- will be painting them and fitting them to the wheels asap, probably the same day that they turn up, tbh. Also have a new gear knob ordered, due here probably late this week or the week after. A friend of mine has a couple of head unit surrounds for me to try, hopefully they work with mine. Ummmm yeah. The strut brace has made a noticeable difference, it liked corners before, but now its so much better, grips really well.
  20. Oops, I sorta forgot to keep updating this as I went huh... Once again, I present- random shots from the last couple of MONTHS. I was over the FREAKING moon when I got one of these. Just as I was in FM...4?5? If I recall correctly, I did actually hold this ridiculous slide. Then yesterday I decided to change things up- theres at least a month gap between the photos above and these below. Re-evaluated my (ingame...) editing style, and I think now it more closely resembles my real life style, though it needs a bit more work to not look so washed out and dark. I much prefer it, regardless, and the style of shots I got of my pro touring/restomod mustang. Aaaannnnnnd my newest favourite toy. My modern cobra. LS swapped MX5. Does about 310 km/h, handles REALLY well... Its just awesome. Why thankyou, sign.
  21. The Mazdaspeed 3 does it for me, I adore that car, and the Brat is fun to make something stupid out of, apart from that... Yeah meh...
  22. I should really be more active...
  23. Would love to know more about your r33 carlstone... The r33 gtst is the bane of any other model skyline owners here in Australia, generally regarded as cheap and nasty. I'd have an r33 gtr over all other skyline models (hard to pick between it and a kenmary), but never a gtst. Don't take me as too rude just yet, I just don't get gtsts and making them quick, they don't look that good, and a gtr doesn't cost much more- especially given you have to modify the gtst to try to equal a gtr. Just in response to your signature that's all...
