  1. Hey. Yes, it does work! Lastly and then everything should be alright, one more thing. Can you please check the database I sent you and tell me, if I did something wrong? Asking cause I added the 250 Testa Rossa and it does show up at the European classics dealer. But in the shop it's invincible. I can drive it, but it falls into the floor, glitches the camera and only once I reset it to the streets it's alright to drive. Until it hits a hundred km/h before it stops accelerating. I love your work and your willingness to tackle problems and communicate with those who have problems. You're a role model for every modder!
  2. Will do later once I'm home. Here's my database:
  3. Alright. Got a new problem now however. my savegame is in German, so I switched TDUMT and TDUPE's locality to German and re-assigned the slots etc. I also set the car, in this case the 911 GT3 RS 4.0 to the empty German independent dealer. The thing is, the game loads up but neither the car nor the showroom do show up on the map. If I switch back to the US locale the car's there but the name's all messed up. Best regards.
  4. Hey Djey, what I did now with my 2000GT was to edit the TDUCP 3011 (the slot which the car uses) in the database resources too 2000 and GT respectively, entered those in the PE name editor, saved and it WORKS. HOWEVER, I see it as "Toyota TDUCP Model 3011 Version 3011" ingame, not as "Toyota 2000 GT". I also re-assigned the names in TDUMT's Vehicle manager, but no luck. Anyhow, that's a bit of an annoyance, once that would be nice to be able to fix, but I'm VERY grateful that you guided me through my troubles and I'm now able to properly add and modify cars! Aside from the problem with the name, I also need to figure out why every car I added is blue. Thank you!
  5. Alright, I think I get your point. So to stick with the example of the Toyota 2000GT. The brand is Toyota. The model is 2000 and the submodel is GT?
  6. So what does this mean? If I don't rename the car but keep its slot name even when I use the car ingame it shouldn't crash?
  7. Hey Djey, thanks for the quick work! This should fix the problem that causes the crashes at startup, right? Best regards!
  8. Yeah, let's hope so. I also sent you a PM about something I noticed, best regards!
  9. So for each car that I manually or with an imported physics-file I have to select the Engine and breaks again before saving which should fix the problem? Well, 5 without my Toyota. I'll try the South-east vendor though. EDIT: Allright, I put the Toyota to the Japan Import Vendor and I can drive it! It's there!:happyroll: However, even if I assign the engine mount and the breaks in TDUPE, it still gives me this error - message (The message is in German. I'll translated it so the translation might not be useable): ------------------------------------------------------------------ Dredgy's TDU Performance Editor - 2.77 Unattanded exception in the Application. 10. Hey Djey, It's me. Got another problem of sorts - I can't save in TDUPE when I try to "handcraft " physic settings. I always get an error. However if I import physics I can save just fine. Also, I can edit basic physics (engine type, displacement etc) in TDUMT's vehicle manager and can actually load into the game and visit the shops I assigned a car to, but it isn't there. To give a concrete example, I added the Toyota 2000GT and for experimental purposes, set it to the Nissan shop. The map shows an increase from 5 to 6 cars and I also see the Toyota emblem on the mini map, but when I visit the store, the 2000GT ain't there. Any idea? Best regards. EDIT: Also, when I stop by the Ohau Cars where the Hennesey Viper etc are sold, all I get is the default cars.
  11. Hey Djey, I think i identified the miscreant - it's the physics. I deleted my C:\modded Test Drive Unlimited folder again, copied it anew from the backup, installed your community patch and installed the porsche. I launched TDU and it worked, I could drive around etc. I quit the game, adjusted the TDUMT settings, did the same thing again - started TDU, it worked, I left the game to complete the installation. I opened TDUPE, loaded Kvrt's physics file onto Slot "TDUCP Car Model 3000", checked if all things were set up, saved and exited. And then, bam, TDU, again, won't start. Here's my database files, I hope you can find the error... Best wishes!
  12. Hey, Thanks for the fast answer, I'll only be able to try it tomorrow though since I'm not home. So my mistake was to replace the 2.00a patch's map with the magicmap one? I see... I'll try again tomorrow, I'm curious if it'll work then. In case it doesn't, which database files do you need specifically? Best regards!
  13. Hi Djey, I got the following problems... At first I tried to insert a new slot in the database, following the Mega Tutorial by Tob. Didn't quite work as it should, then I messed up because I didn't know whether to install your 2.00a community patch or the car pack first and so on and so forth. In the end I stopped trying to set up the car pack and your patch side by side because I noticed that you added those 100 slots and thought to myself hey, I'll simply add what I want. However, TDU won't even load into the main menu. I replaced TDUMT's vehicleslots.xml and TDUPE's cardata.mdb with the one from the community patch. Here's my procedure, maybe you can help me find the error? 1) download the car I want to add (in my case, Kvrt66's Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0) 2) rename the exterior/interior files to TDUCP_3000 and TDUCP_3000_I.bnk, the rims to TDUCP_3000_F_01 and TDUCP_3000_F_01.bnk, copied the RUF RGT's HUD since the mod didn't come with one, renamed that hud to TDUCP_3000.bnk and did the same with the sound file, renaming it to TDUCP_3000_audio.bnk. 3) I copied the files and overwrote the existing files you added. 4) I launched TDUMT which loaded the Porsche (TDUCP 3000) just fine. I set the color, the dealer and, to double-check, installed the according bnks anew with the vehicle manager. I saved and exited. 5) I launched TDUPE, located TDUCP 3000, loaded the Porsche's physics, assigned the rims and the hud as well as the cameras, saved and exited. lastly I launched TDU, but as I said I couldn't even reach the main menu before the game stopped working.I do use MagicMap. My problems aside, thanks for your amazing work! Cheers.
  14. Hey, I have a problem with TDUMT. I tried to add pator 5's 250GT Berlinetta into the game using Tob's Mega tutorial. Up to the part when I have to modify the car in the vehicle manager (things like where it is for sale etc), I get the errors I added to the attached file. I also added TDUMT's debug log. Here's what I did, maybe you can help me with this information alone. I unzipped TDUMT 1.16.2 LOGOS. I replaced the default vehicleslots.xml with the one from my TDU install. If I hadn't, all modded cars either wouldn't have showed up or would be grayed out. Since I did replace the vehicle slots, all the cars show up in the Vehicle manager and are "normal" (-> black). However, I still can't open the "show modded names" tab (error 3), nor can I edit one of the cars; if I double-click any car, I get errors 1 and 2. Help me please.
  15. Hey, I have the following problem. I did everything Tob-Racer did in his amazing Mega-tutorial..However, once I try to open my newly added 250GT Berlinetta, in TDUMT's Vehicle Manager to finalize its implementation, TDUMT can't load the requested car data. I also sometimes get an error message regarding some indexes. Also, I use the Community Car pack and the car slot expansion by JPTH. If I open the vehicle manager with the basic vehicleslot.xml file, there are some grayed-out cars. And if I use the xml from my TDU data-folder to unlock all the cars etc, I get the errors.Any clues? Thanks in advance!
  16. Hey, I got some questions regarding the tutorial; I followed the steps precisely, but I can't drag n drop the modified carphysics and rim data to TDUMT's file explorer. Any clue? Also, I wanted to ask if there is a simple way to add cars without replacing already existing ones. I have a lot of unlocked slots thanks to various of your amazing mods, but if I, for example, want to install the Berlinetta by pator 5 ,I would need to replace the 308 GTS. The thing is now, how can I install the Berlinetta without losing the 308?
  17. Hey, I have a question, most likely a very dumb and nooby question, but where should I put the files from the hud folder during the installation? I don't get crashes or anything, but it's kind of annoying to not being able to see how fast you drive if you can't read the dials. Thanks for the epic work nevertheless!
  18. Good evening, as the title says, I have a serious problem with TDU (both TDU 1 and 2). I can play the game fine for around an hour or so, when suddenly - blackscreen, 2 seconds silence and the PC (well, laptop) shuts down completely. The weird thing is, I can play a lot of way more stressful games for hours (a pimped out Skyrim for example runs on 30+ FPS on my system and almost never crashes to the desktop), so I'm really confused, and kind of pissed that TDU forces my PC to shut down. My processor's an i7M with 2.4 GHZ, I got 2 GB of graphic card RAM, 8 GB of normal RAM and my power supply is stable as well. I just recently cleared every little opening in the chassis of dust and set the power supply so that my CPU isn't running on full juice all the time (90% is more than enough) which also drastically led to a decrease in temperature. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
  19. Alright - thank you very much for your efforts, looking forward to it :)
  20. Hey :) Great, thanks for the quick answer. I just wasn't sure 'cause of the PE-File. And I also love the idea with the duplicated slots, do you by chance already know when you will release the mod? best regards.
  21. So, I was wondering; can I only replace the Dino 246GT or can I chose the car I want to replace? Cause I really do want to keep the Dino in the game but use the Stradale as well... Either way, awesome mod, great job!
