  1. Hammond races jet in Top Gear stunt Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond has taken to the wheel of another high-powered car less than a year after his horrific crash while filming for the show, the BBC said. Hammond, 37, drove a Bugatti Veyron, the fastest street-legal car in the world, in a "race" with a Typhoon fighter jet as part of a stunt for the programme. The BBC said it had followed "stringent" safety procedures for the race, which was filmed last week at RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire. Last September, Hammond was driving a jet-powered car at speeds approaching 300mph on an airfield near York when he crashed. A tyre blow-out sent the vehicle spinning off the runway and left the presenter upside down and dug into a grass verge. He was airlifted to hospital where he was treated for swelling to the brain and bruising but eventually made a complete recovery. A film of the accident was later broadcast on Top Gear, where fans of the show welcomed him back a hero. An investigation by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) later found there had been "failings in BBC management systems" before the accident. But it concluded that no-one should be prosecuted. The latest stunt was described as "awesome" by one eyewitness who said the Bugatti drove for one mile each way down the airfield runway. Meanwhile the Typhoon jet, which easily won the encounter, flew one mile over the runway, headed vertically for another mile and then turned round. Bugatti Veyrons, which cost more than £800,000, are capable of over 250mph and can travel from zero to 60mph in just 2.5 seconds. A Typhoon jet can travel at twice the speed of sound. A BBC spokesman said: "It was part of filming for a new series that starts in October." From MSN News.
  2. They are making a new one I think, was there anything offical that anything was destroyed.
  3. Another policy, he seems to bring one out every day lol, a couple of days ago it was making all teenager do public service basically calling us all yobs and criminals, there was the human rights one plus loads of other rubbish. Why bother though, he has no power and never will because most old people will think he's too young and most young people think he's a di.. annoying person.
  4. Is that the top gear track? That might mean they get it on the lap board.] Audi Sam just reminded me of another thing they do that was also writtin in the article. They are making a boat out of a toyota hilex (again) and going accros the channel. I thought it was a joke becouse you'd be mad to do that but, well it is top gear and apparently it's true.
  5. I was gunna says pass the parcil but then I read the post. Sorry. Don't have a Wii so no idea.
  6. I'm quite sure it will as this is two storys that i've heard of about the new series and in this months TG mag there was a big article set in the isle of man which may or may not be on the TV, would be good though. When i'm back home i'll copy some of the photo's and headline but can't copy the whole thing becouse that would be copywrite infringmewnt and all that ribish, well so would the photo's, oh never mind.
  7. Missed again have I and the last time i'd be able to get them as I go back to college, never mind.
  8. Its not a link, its in the MotorBoat magazine as Top Gear went to them for suggestion on boats and they were there for the filming. Top Gear mag says Top Gear will be back in October.
  9. There bound to lol, I have little to no attenshion span on somting like this so I never check spelling and stuff like i really should. My coursework was intressting as I once put excreatment where it was ment to be experiment. So basicly it said i played around with different strenghs of acids to see how it effected me excreatment. That was quite imbarassing. Should have learnt from it really but never will. Oh will point out it was a spell checker that changed it I just got it very wrong to start with.
  10. Will be the deciding game really to see if i'll get a PS3. It would have to be the perfect game and somehow I don't think it will be. Forza was ment to be and it just isn't, hopfully it is though, looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
  11. I hate the 360 (saw one the other day and its to fat) so I think this is a great thing to do with it. Keeping the speed with it, bet the handling gone though.
  12. I'll stick with the game for now and watch when its on sky, don't look like a film i'd pay for.
  13. I know a lot of you are into Top Gear and all ready probably know this but oh well. Oh suppose if you don't want to know what is going to be in the next series don't read. Just read in Motorboat mag that they are doing a race in the next series across London. Hammound is on a bike (pedel), May is in a Merc GL500, Clarkson is in a Honda 225 racing boat and the Stig is taking part on public transport which should be brilliant. There are a few more details in the article but should be a good program.
  14. I noticed 2 spelling but wasn't going to say becouse my spelling is apsolutly usless, see.
  15. Nice, will go on tommorow when I get back to celebrate.
  16. Much prefer the older Genesis when he was drumming but he is a great artist and a great proformer.
  17. No worries about it, was just a bit supprised i didn't notice lol.
  18. Only just noticed only half of the article is up lol.
  19. Its different which makes it good. Its not some person talking down a telephone smiling way to much or some puppy falling off a bed. There are subtle hints of the chocolate brand as someone said above with the background colour. Dunno really what i'm talking about but i'm going to buy some chocolate now, no wait no i'm not.
  20. Don't want it to boring though with that kind of thing, top gear as an example uses different thing though have certain patterns throughout the whole things. It’s all done in three columns, normally white background with black test, bright photo's mixed in to give interest and bright box's with headlines. Keeping to this (normally) they can then change the colours and the general layout (where photos headline are ect.). It need to look like one piece but different all at the same time if that makes sence. Well thats my opinion anyway.
  21. Dosn't work, how do you get the beta though? Now it does, takes a while.
  22. I got some constructive criticism, don't let me write. Anyway will go and read it now. I just even spelt write from lol. Right actually want to give some proper feedback as there are a few problems. First is the fact there is way too much centre formatting, makes it horrible to read and really should only be used for title in my opinion. The first real big problem is the Enzo Vs MC12 article, it’s nearly impossible to read with too many changing colours they run into each other in places so you can read it, also gives you a bit of a headache to be honest. The comic strip thing looks brilliant but the text is to small and the text above and under it doesn’t contrast enough making it difficult to read. I know I’ve been really negative but these are all of the problems I’ve found in a really good read, next one should be set to be brilliant. Well done to everyone involved.
  23. I was just about to post this lol, had me cracking up. 6.2 million quid its costing them.
  24. First day back at college which is good. Hopefully good things will come and its certainly sensible if it is for Halo 3.
  25. http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r289/pherelas/newveyron.jpg Was that the one you can't look at? It must be a joke really to get people thinking as if there was a car like that they would take it our before they allowed camera in surly. Anyway...
