  1. OK an old one for you ... obviously the wedding ribbon isn't standard! Manufacturer only will do for this one
  2. Well it's either a Sunbeam Alpine or a Sunbeam Tiger (basically an Alpine with a bigger engine!) And here's a pic of one I took at a classic car show this year and had previous posted on the forum! I'm guessing I'm right so I'll post the next car in about 2 hours time
  3. Nipper I was a SONY boy with playstations (all bought at launch day) ... it was just Sonys fault that the PS3 was delayed and then my ps2 drive died on me and some game called TDU was announced for the 360 ... so I became a convert. So I haven't played Fable ... Fable 2 is set 500 years after Fable and does sort of follow on ... read the tales of albion on the lionhead site as that will give you all the back story ... the easiest way of describing the era is Dick Turpin (so 1600-1700 sort of time) with early guns, however they have 'stretched' technology so you have clockwork weapons allowing reasonably quick fire Yes you can be good or evil, pure or corrupt, attractive or pig ugly, thin or fat, muscle bound or not ... lots of character morphs ... also decisions you make change the world you live in, but I won't spoli that ... my character is a 100% good and pure very tall (developing skill i.e. ranged weapons/guns makes you taller), just trying to make her thinner at the moment, eaten too many pies (literally) ... my next character I'm going to go evil and corrupt ... supposedly you can get the horned beast on the box as a morph! hope that answers everything
  4. Yes you learn more melee weapon moves as your xp increases (if you use it that way ... brutal styles I think) and with the ranged weapons (pistols/crossbows/rifles) you get targeting at higher xp the orbs are other players ... you walk up to an orb and you can interact, either just chat or join their world of they join yours. Unforunately you can't take your hero to another world ... if you join another players world you join as a henchman/woman which you have a few selections in terms of look and weapons. The host then assigns how much xp and money as a percentage the henchman will get. This includes money you make from houses and shops so can be a very good way of giving friends cash. Oh also you can gift people items including weapons. And as far as I'm aware it's the full on game in co-op where you can join them on the story quests, although I'm not entirely sure as when me and Notorious did it we just went on a wander and a killing spree. Oh and different peoples worlds might be different depending upon the choices they made at various points in the game.
  5. No probs Iced ... glad I could help (I hope) I chose my uni as at it's time it was one of the best for Aeronautical Engineering, it was a big city and it was miles from my parents. I wouldn't worry about the crime thing ... sort of teaches you a little about life to some extent. As to cars ... the same as ever ... just be carefull with where you park it and make sure nothing is on display inside the car ... the reason why my car is spotless inside with everything away in the cubby-holes
  6. OK I don't know anything about Architecture ... I'm an Engineer! Well here's my advice ... Talk to a few large Architecture companies about the job you want to do and ask them what Unis they recommend, most places will talk to you if you ask them nicely. A degree at one Uni will have more respect than another and so will give you better chances of getting you a job afterwards. Some Unis are better at one type of subject than another. As to locations ... I went to Salford (Manchester for the un-initiated) but obviously that was back in the dark ages before some of you were born! Manchester was a great place to be a student, it had the highest percentage student population of any UK city (as in you were more likely to bump into a student there than anywhere else in the country), it had lots of great night clubs and bars too ... and for me was 250 miles from home so my parents couldn't be 'just passing by'. Crime was an issue ... my mini got broken into while I was there and some idiot stole my stereo (which was worth about a tenner) but then it was no worse than anywhere else as long as you're a little street-wise. If you go to any Uni where the locals have a different accent to yours you'll stick out and you'll just have to be wary ... I soon learnt what pubs us 'poofy southern students' weren't welcome in. and wherever you go a lot of locals might also have a 'pop' at students and unfortunately most of the times student digs aren't in the best parts of town no matter where you study. My best advice is to find out what course best suits your needs in terms of what job you want to do, ans as I said above if you can get the grades what is the best place for the subject you want to do, and also pay a visit to the uni/city to see what it's like.
  7. it's not worth cheating with the clock as it's easy to get money. As to the crashing speed you should try the lionhead forum ... might give you some answers ... there does appear (unfortunately) to be a 'few' bugs !
  8. Well I don't think it'll be the last tuner/low volume manufacturer/design house to go The euorpean car industry is in big trouble with the 'credit crunch' too ... sales of luxury cars are down about 20-30% which is a HUGE amount and it means large companies are now scaling back budgets on lots of programmes
  9. yeah your welcome to join me in co-op, you need to be an adult first though as co-oping between an adult and a kid is a 'bit' buggy ... rumoured to wipe the adult character sometimes ... done a bit with Notorious ... he helped me out with a decent weapon and some cash could do the same for you if you come to my world for a bit as my character now earns a few grand every five minutes from all the properties she owns ... you even earn money while your xbox is turned off as it uses the internal clock of the 360!
  10. It's a great game, been playing it way too much very easy to get into ... not too sure how to describe it ... but then I've never played Fable ... it's not an RPG like Oblivion/Fallout3 or the FF series, more like Tomb Raider really in it's play style but with RPG elements I guess combat is great ... the single button thingy works a treat the story is very good (what I've done of it so far) the whole thing can be as involved or as removed as you want, as in lots of little bits to play with if you can be bothered, as in houses, families, clothing dyes ... lots of stuff Oh and lots of amazing British humour ... just to give you a hint at what the humour is like when you play the game read what the warrants say on them when your a kid. BUY IT
  11. What petrolhead HASN'T heard of DeTomaso ... Italian style (and unfortunately build quality), American Muscle (Ford V8) ... and a habbit of trying to kill you when you touched the loud pedal!
  12. didn't want a GT spider as that is ficticious ... I wanted a Brera (946) Spider like mine
  13. True but some kids on here might not know the difference between a concept and a one-off and also depends on how you define small and unknown! OK so it's a Datsun Skyline ... never been a fan of 60s-70s Jap metal
  14. what do you mean crashing cars in your spare time ? racing them ? Me ... well I design them, well amongst other things ! My Gamertag was chosen from my job!

  15. Silly suggestion to allow prototypes/concepts but not one-offs ! I also left you a message the other day. As to the car ... hmm ... looks like an Old Skyline to me
  16. Welcome to the forum ... Well there's a GT, Brera and an 8C to play with in TDU Shame there's no Spider !
  17. NASCAR is only worth watching for the crashes. I've never watched ALMS but been to Le Mans a 'few' times ... but game up when all the 'proper' enclosed LMPs faded away and just left Audi with their opentop car ... oh i don't care much for diesels either BTCC is OK ... but I still remember the good old days of Tarquini and Alfa 155s ! But back OT ... well sort of ... I've only ever been to one F1 race ... Silverstone 91 when this happened ... Mansell giving Senna a lift back to the pits after Mansell won by a country mile and Senna ran out of fuel on the last lap ... just wish they'd ditch refuelling and bring back turbos !
  18. Nipper ... just sit back and enjoy the programme for what it is, great entertainment. It was pretty obvious the Clarksons lorry was going to catch fire the moment they showed you he was transporting some hay and a bar heater ... but it still made me laugh when it did. Comedy is all about the build up to the punchline
  19. Because it's called Millbrook Proving Ground (been there a 'few' times for work) ... which is one of the 2 main testing facilities for cars etc in the UK, the other being MIRA. Fifth Gear just use it for filming ... they used to use the Ace Cafe in London but then decided they needed to copy Top Gear once again and so started filming from the 'hospitality suite' at Millbrook And I think you'll find that the 'traffic' was all staged!
  20. Mellors - I'm guessing you haven't heard about the 09 specs much then? The front and rear wings should like more like a 1990 F1 car, the pic I posted is 91 FW14 (the FW14B was a better car tho) Also the main body should be cleaner as all the little wings are more restricted, and from what I've heard no barge boards. So in terms of shape if you placed the wings and tyres off the FW14 on a current shell without any aero bits that should be close (in theory) ... we'll know in January when the teams start to launch their cars
  21. You'll never get that thing to corner (and yes I am VERY aware of what the particular vehicle is) I'm hoping for a little more like ...
  22. Well hopefully the good olde days will return ... F1 on the BBC again ... but please pinch Martin for his grid walks, leave everyone else behind though Hopefully some Fleetwood Mac ... look it up kids and the cars should be back to 1990s shapes (well sort of) ... slick tyres, no barge boards or stupid little wings everywhere ... all we need now is Turbos ... wait we have the modern version ... KERS !!!!! Is anyone as excited as me to see what an 09 car is going to look like?
  23. Ahh a Panda ... did I post the pic of the 3 Pandas from the Auto Italia at Gaydon? They looked great.

  24. Looks about the same size as what would be an Omega in this country ... could well be an Omega with a different name.
