  1. I may join, not sure yet. May be busy revising so will see. ;) Will take the RUF RK Spyder (Toyota MR2 Targa Mod) if I come though.
  2. Not true. The only time i'm unsure about f numbers is when I use them taking a photo. I never know exactly what the right aperature to use is when taking a photo which would give the best result. I must say though, it is a bit childish to be arguing over cars which are normal cars etc.. and I wouldn't have expected it from you guys but whatever, it's over now. ;)
  3. Ok thanks for the comments everyone. Not gonna quote them individually. I have spent like half an hour in photoshop doing some more edits and I have another two which incorporate the ideas which people have said. The first one is with no blurred background and still has the B&W background as I think it really does suit the shot. http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t270/TheScottishSpotter/IMG_4488edit9small.jpg The second is with no blurred background but still has the original background and have saturated the colours on the truck to make it stand out a bit. Not too fond of this though. http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t270/TheScottishSpotter/IMG_4488edit11.jpg
  4. Gotta agree with Iced here. So yes it should be locked.
  5. Hm... I'm stuck then as I like a bit of every edit and I also like the original with the people. I suppose it all boils down to taste and if you like the people and boat then thats what you like but others may not like this. Anyway moving on to the next image. :p I thought I would try something a bit different. I'm not usually one for taking photo's of trucks but this one was in the right place at the right time and it was one of my favourite liveries so couldn't miss out on the opportunity. I have selectively coloured this image for several reasons. The audi to the left was a bright blue colour and that was distracting to the eye so had to somehow lose the vibrance of the colour without cloning it out as that wouldn't have worked. I wanted to also make the viewers attention more focused on the truck than anything else. Some of the parts of buildings I had to clone out also as I wanted a good crop and this was the only way I could do so and I also blurred the background a little to make the truck pop out from everything else around so that you could see the truck was the main focus object in the image and I think I have managed this quite well. #10 - Innovate Logistics Lorry, passing through Perth City Centre. http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t270/TheScottishSpotter/IMG_4488edit7small.jpg As always comments and crits welcome. I'm interested to see the responses to this as it's not something you take a photo of every day and it's a bit "different" shall we say, so yeah. ;)
  6. Ah yes I see it now. I actually lined up the horizon so it was straight in the first place by placing the photo on a new canvas and lining the horizon with the edge of the canvas, but obviously I have made a mess of it. :p
  7. I noticed this when I was testing the beta version and it has been noted and tool will fix it in 1.1 hopefully.
  8. Torque, as much as you have valid points in your post, why do you feel the need to bring up old topics all the time? It's not just once you have done it, but countless times!
  9. I don't actually see any change in the horizon but I do like how you have taken away the people and the boat as it gives a sense of being alone with nobody else around. Nice edit Mb!
  10. Very nice! Love the first shot in that last post. ;)
  11. Love it. Listened a little although have to go now which sucks. I wonder if someone is recording it all?
  12. Do you like the new Series of Knight Rider? Do you want a second Season of it? Well unfortunately this may not happen now due to problems with the credit crunch. Can you do anything to save it? Yes, infact you can. There is a petition you can sign which will help show that you are enthusiastic and that you want the series to continue airing. So if you care about Knight Rider then sign the petition - http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/save-knight-rider.html I know quite a few are following this and are keen to watch it so I have posted this here as I was browsing for information on Season 2 and found this. ;) So far roughly 14000 people have signed the petition.
  13. That lighthouse shot is flippin epic! Love the colours and reflection and EVERYTHING! :D Would you happen to have a high res of that?
  14. Looking great. May download this as you have done a nice clean job on it. :)
  15. You mean..... Theres more than one tool831? (Had to be said :D)
  16. I honestly think this thread needs closure before it can upset anybody else and cause any more damage in this community! I'm not going to say anything like what has been said but I will say that I don't believe in religion although I can understand the people who do and respect that. :locked:
  17. Awesome video, perfect machinima. ;) Voted 5 stars, good luck!
  18. Nice shots there Softie. I think maybe you need to try cropping some of them. I think pictures like this do need a bit of a crop as theres way too much at the bottom for my liking. I don't know what comments you want for these as I can say "Wow they are amazing." like Safiro or I can give you crits and comments so you can improve and allow you to see what areas you need to improve on. Can you reply back and let me know what type of thing you are after? I'm not being an asshat here, i'm just saying that comments where people just say the photo's are amazing don't really give any indication on what they like about them or what needs worked on or anything like that. I for one am someone who is really looking for detailed analysis on the good and bad points of a photograph, but you may just like good comments and thats fine if thats the case. ;)
  19. I will most probably be buying a PS3 when it comes out, so just for this game. Nah, I would play other games as well on it. :p
  20. Thanks for the tips Mb. Yeah I agree with the grass actually, looking again, maybe it should be toned down a little. I must say though I didn't realise you could see the curviture of the earth, until you mentioned it. ;) ------------------------------- Ok I tried doing what you suggested Mb and heres the result. ;) http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t270/TheScottishSpotter/ArbroathCliffs1small3.jpg
  21. Gotta love the bottom one! :D Nice find ST. ;)
  22. Must have been an epic sound to have heard that going past! I wish I was there to hear it, seriously. And the fact it is painted in orange makes it even louder. :D ;)
  23. They are rare! Seen two of them, one was at the Aston garage in the waiting bay though. Amazing looking cars and you have made a nice shot. ;)
  24. You should when you get a chance. I never used to do any post processing but now I do it with nearly every image I upload on the net. It has made a huge difference! Thanks mate, I really do love the end result myself also. ;) ----------------------------- Ok, continuing on. I said I would upload an image every day so i'm gonna stick to my word. Haven't really had much time today hence why i'm doing it now. Just edited this photo of the Arbroath Cliff's which is about 20 miles from here or so. Went there last last year in November and it was around the time the sun was starting to set, which was a great time to practice my skills. Most of the photos I took turned out alright but they were in need of some post processing and the end result of this one really does make me smile. #9 - Arbroath Cliff's, looking out into the North Sea. http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t270/TheScottishSpotter/ArbroathCliffs1small1.jpg As always comments and crits welcome. I think colour works wonders here especially the amazing contrast with the red of the rocks, green of the grass and the blue of the sea. ;)
  25. Fantastic work tool! Reminds me so much of my friends MR2 I rode in before he sold it, especially with the roof off! :D And I see you used my images. ;)
