Another thing worth noting is the headlight LED design. Even though the headlight shape is different to the XE the LED design is almost identical. Which is crap. Even though Audi's design can be very generic from one model to the next, you can easily differentiate between an RS4 and an RS6 for example just from their LEDs.

Following the XF release I was playing around with the XE on the Jaguar website:  Those alloys with the black pack make it look amazing imo.

I was attempting to be funny by interpreting tim's post as him saying the XF was an XE that had Blown Up, but I obviously failed :p Yeah I agree that Ian Callum's getting an easy paycheck here, minimalism isn't awful but it doesn't give these cars any special personalities or characteristics. I'm hoping the stance/scale difference of the XE/XF makes it easier to spot the difference compared to the C and S as you mentioned. I think it's a great thing for a C-Class owner for people to confuse it with an S (though I couldn't buy a C-Class anyway until they fix that ridiculous floating screen, how gaudy). You can get a good variety of interior leather shades etc I think so I'd probably go for something other than black to avoid what you said. I've had a look at the XE config and all the trim/veneer options seem quite dark which is an oversight I think, some aluminium would go a long way into transforming the interior. The XF has held up well if you're in the used market I guess, but for a fair few years it's not really held its own against its competitors which I think might have harmed its sales figures.

Santtu putting an anti-LH spin on things, quelle surprise :p I don't think people, other than those putting up a lot of cash into any team that isn't Mercedes, have the right to complain too much, I think last year had some fantastic races (Bahrain?). Let's hope for some thunderstorms and that things get a bit cray cray this weekend. Some DNFs for exciting reasons rather than reliability on the 1st lap. This weekend's GP (FPs, Qualifying and the race) is one of the few that the BBC has the right to broadcast UK people, so don't forget to tune in :nods: Also, make your guess on whether Maldonado will crash, if he does, what lap? :p

That's a bit harsh Tim, it doesn't look that bad. I've only seen pics of the top spec version, most likely with every optional extra so I'll wait until I see a base spec before properly judging it. Jag also win the award for the most impressively pointless PR stunt:

New Jaguar XF: -------------------- If the XE didn't exist i'd be absolutely drooling over this car, but I think it's just a bit TOOOOO similar at the rear (Identical, really). However the old XF aged really quickly, in that the timing of its release meant its technology and interior looked and felt very out of date compared to its competition quite quickly. I hope with the new E-class around the corner this won't happen again (though this XF looks fine). It's got new aluminium architecture meaning it'll be much lighter (they say 400 pounds, but JLR have been known to exaggerate these claims a fair bit), if it gets the Ingenium engines it'll be much more efficient too. I really hope this sells well!

I think I have a genuine addiction to hill climb racing, I've got one and a half billion coins on it :leaves: It's a good time waster. I also play The Simpsons Tapped out, which I bought for a few £, it has a lot of premium in-app content but I've managed to play for years without feeling like I need to purchase any. I've played Asphalt 8, GTA, the Sims etc on my phone but I'm not sure they've got the final products just right yet. Phones, their capabilities etc are progressing but games don't seem to be progressing at the same rate. I'm open to big titles though, I have the 6 plus so the screen size isn't too much of a hindrance in whether I enjoy a game or not.

Nice! Got any plans for the car? There's nothing wrong with those alloys, I just think you could justify something a bit flashier on an E500 :nods: (Preferably some OEM rims).

You're just doing what Piers wants you to do. He isn't interested in the stories and the morals/principles being debated in them, he's interested in how much publicity and media attention he can get if he discusses certain topics. He writes articles but makes them all about himself. He's ridiculously self-obsessed, the type to cry when he loses a twitter follower I imagine.

Most videos like that have SFW versions or lyric video alternatives for that reason Tim :nods:

Hey, With most people having smartphones in their pockets nowadays, and with the capabilities of these phones increasing every year parallel to the profits of the mobile gaming sector its easy to see this is an increasingly important part of the sector, so: - What gaming apps do you have on your phone at the moment, did you pay for any? Are you interested in 'freemium' gaming? - Do you prefer the arcade genre of gaming app on your phone or do you enjoy playing the large titles that have been transferred over? (GTA, Sims, NFS etc) - Are you still in the 'i'm not paying 99p in an app store! Sod that extortionate amount' and then pay £2 for a can of coke you finish 30 seconds later? Thanks, if this ends up being an OS fanboywar you'll each receive an invoice for the alcohol i'll need as a result. :duck:

The TopGear live shows in Norway being cancelled (or 'postponed') isn't the greatest of signs for Jeremy's or TopGear's future. I'd be surprised if we heard anything said publicly this week, I predict news next week but i'd be pleasantly happy with an end to this all sometime before Friday.

Eh, I think McLaren most likely have an 'in service date' in mind for when they'll be competitive. I don't know why, I just think they'll debut their new Livery at the same time (if that's still on?).
-
Can't you get some widebody arches for it? :( I quite like those rims too.

 Just think of the multi-car pile up that Maldonado would cause. Though he doesn't really need an autobahn to cause one to be fair.

After the whole confusion of which track the German GP would be held at in 2015, the answer is.... *drumroll* NONE

Yah, very recognizable collection AND home. *waits for scott to enter the thread drooling* He said in a few tweets after that pic that the countachs were £55,000 and £65,000 in 2010. That seems like such a bargain! They've rocketed in price now haven't they? He'll make such a huge profit from his.- 2,500 replies

May 2015: Who will you be voting for?
CarMadMike replied to CarMadMike's topic in General Discussion
Yup, all it takes is to look at the countries which went the opposite way to us when we took the austerity route and the situation they currently find themselves in *cough*France*Cough* to realise that this government haven't completely screwed up the economy. I'll be voting for the Tories too. -
TUDOR United Sportscar Championship 2015
CarMadMike replied to Ryzza5's topic in Automotive Discussion
I think i'll go to bed, there's 2:30ish left of the race but there's nothing too exciting happening that's worth staying up and being exhausted tomorrow for. Daytona was completely different. The number 5 car has lapped EVERY other car on the track, so unless he spins out into a wall it's his trophy (or watch, or whatever). GTLM might get exciting in the final hour but I'm not going to stick around to find out, there's been a good 3-4 hours of green flags now which is good as I thought Daytona was hindered by just how many full-course cautions there were.
