  1. I've not had a desktop in ages, so saying Laptop was a slip of the tongue i just meant PC, as i'm more than aware of the limitations of laptops :( As for loss of quality over time, that is something I personally am okay with as I think it beats spending money on upgrading your PC more frequently however i'm also aware that this is quite individual and everyone has different priorities with this. Also, DLC ripoffs will be just as popular on PC games eventually, everything in life seems to be going that way. I still think we've swayed from the original PSN topic slightly though, i'll give my opinion on that in more detail when i'm not on my bloody phone >.<
  2. Woah what's steam i've never* heard of steam before! My point about it being more effort was referring to having to look at what games run at what spec, understanding whether your laptop will run this and also that the cycle of new tech rate with consoles is much slower, is this a bad thing? I'm not sure, as it means your money tends to go further. That and PCs that are capable of running high-tech games tend to be quite expensive unless you have the know-how to either build your own or do a lot of research/already have the knowledge, this is what i mean by effort. There's just something easy about screaming across the room for your xbox one to boot up and start the game you want to play, knowing it should play the biggest titles for the next 4ish years with ease. *i've had steam for years but thanks for telling me about it, my friend.
  3. Yes but for those that are huge fans of Console-specific titles, or cba with the fuss a lot of games require a certain spec of PC to be playable to the max...this wasn't meant to be a PC vs console fanwar. I just feel that to get to the part where a PC becomes less effort, you have to put more effort in than you do with a console, though i do appreciate the many positives of PC gaming, I can't see console gaming disappearing anytime soon which is what I wanted to discuss :p
  4. Something for y'all to ponder over: It appears there was another PSN outage on Sunday for some users, after the hacking, other outages, and general lack of 'WE PROMISE IT'LL GET BETTER' on Sony's behalf, is it time to change allegiance (To those that use PSN?)? Or are you happy with the level of service you get for the price you pay? I know we're mainly a PC/XB1/360 community but I hope some will be able to give an opinion on this article I saw on twitter by Time Magazine: Read the rest of the article here: Is It Really Time to Abandon Sonys PlayStation Network?
  5. Yeah I understand completely why it's not active aero, but I think it's the equivalent to someone buying a ford raptor f150 thing, looks purposeful and will be great offroad but for the most part it won't be used for that and will look OTT most of the time. It's why i'd have the Turbo over a GT3, or a cayman GTS over this GT4.
  6. It'd me amazing if that wing was retractable :( It's just so THERE, I completely understand why it is as it's the hardcore version but I can't bring myself to like that kind of wing on a car that will still most likely be used more than just a weekend car for the people that buy it. Still love the car tbh, at least the wing is mostly body-coloured. Always loved this era cayman/boxter.
  7. The new Honda Civic type-R is going to be quite angular and aggressive, not necessarily 'pretty' just like that Focus RS. I can see a decent track battle between them in the future hopfully.
  8. I think listening to both the Pagani Huayra got me over any anti-turbo car feelings I had, it sounds amazing, though not every turbo will be attached to a monstrous AMG V12 engine. The turbo spooling noise is  I agree with you andai, the 458's front bumper was my main issue with it though and they've improved it but it's still not stunning. Same with the 458 Speciale, it's BETTER but still not pretty.
  9. Reposting my opinion on the ferrari here so I can keep the first post clean-ish :p The 488 GTB as a woman, beautiful but toothy: As for the focus RS, I think the higher the angle you look at it, the better it'll look, I think the angle of the photos we have of it makes us focus on that bumper a bit too much.
  10. Hey, I think a lot of think 'Ooooh, that's quite an important car release, people will have an opinion on that!' but then 'cba making a new thread/is it worthy of its own thread?' so I think one thread for everything* might be a good idea! *If it's something you think will get a lot of discussion going feel more than free to make its own thread of course! :duck: --------------------------------------- 2016 Ford Focus RS: Images: Jalopnik - Drive Free or Die Stats: - 320bhp 2.3 litre Engine - AWD front engined,] - 320+ lbs/ft of torque with torque vectoring. - No 0-60/top speed stats as of yet. Ferrari 488 GTB: Images: Jalopnik - Drive Free or Die Stats: - 660 horsepower 3.8 Turbocharged engine - 0-60 in 3.0 seconds - weights 45 lbs less than the 458 DISCUSS!
  11. Not enough squirrels in this thread. --- Post Updated --- Or ducks. /bored.
  12. Well that logic makes even less sense to me, why bother in the first place. I can't remember what TV show, I think it was game of thrones, did the exact same thing and I was like wth is the point, just the once. Episode 3 is about them making their own ambulances and messing about in them, though it's one of those trailers where you can tell absolutely everything to do with the outcome of every challenge was written into the script.
  13. It's not as if the public will decide the outcome though (that would have been a nice touch), I feel after how much of a humungous mess they made with choosing the driver line-up this year they've done this to try and make people go WOO for #teammclaren again. I'm still very annoyed about the whole driver line-up debacle, it was totally unnecessary.
  14. The drifting shots in the quarry were absolutely stunning. Watching both stigs/may do their lap was breathtaking, I agree. As for
  15. Which is what I've always loved, orange is by far my favourite colour on a car. I'd vote orange on the sole reason that it'd make the grid look more varied, Williams have the white car covered.
  16. I'm not yet sure I understand the logic behind simulcasting the series and then region-blocking trailers  I enjoyed the second episode as it did showcase the 3 cars quite well I thought, which at the end of the day made it quite a good episode. Many people complain about it not being about the cars, but all 3 listing their reasons for which car they'd have and making a decision is much better than someone telling you it has 5 litres more luggage space and 2mm less rear leg space on a youtube video. Keifer was an odd guest, he seemed like a car-nut but they didn't focus on that as much as i'd have liked. Still, a more consistent start to a TG series than we've had in ages imo. Just watched the trailer, oh dear, for those that are feeling quite anti-TG as of the past few years it seems next week's is an episode you can miss. It might be good, but it has every telltale sign of one of those awfully unfunny obviously scripted TG episodes, I still enjoy them but they do annoy me at the same time.
  17. Any reasons behind your total loss for any happiness in 2015? Have some of your fav titles gone down the drain recently? None of your fav genre of games look any good? etc
  18. Like that crazy Sunset overdrive game that was announced at E3, I think this genre of 'exploding things' with no storyline (Not COD, mainly sci-fi ones) should be phone games or free/much cheaper games on consoles. When I think of how much more hours I could get out of GTA or Assassins creed for my money, or how much more work has gone into it, I think games like Sunset overdrive and Dead Island 2 should be £15 and/or handheld console games. I know this isn't going to be that common an opinion, I guess I just distanced myself from buying titles such as crash bandicoot etc for consoles a while ago as I wanted to spend what little time I do gaming on the big titles.
  19. More importantly, TDU2. I hope, if someone points it out now I'll go cray cray.
  20. Hey Guys :duck: The awful month of january is now over and most people will have been paid either last Friday or today, meaning you shouldn't be too skint right now! Time to plan how you might spend some of that hard earned $$$ So what games are you most looking forward to in 2015? If you do a list try and post them in chronological order :D Here's my list: - The Order 1886 (Feb Release): I don't know too much about it, but I've read the synopsis and it sounds right up my street. - Starfox (Wii U) (TBC): One of my fav N64 games should return this year, I look forward to trying it out. - Fable Legends (TBC): I've always been a fan of fable, though it's gone a bit crap as of recently I'm not going to give up with it just yet. - Star Wars Battlefront (TBC): This should be a 2015 release, I absolutely loved the previous star wars games. I wasted way too much time on Battlefront 2. I'm also keeping an eye on the new H@lo release, they've had so long I doubt it'll be a flop.
  21. converse get ruined way too quickly, i'd be too scared to wear gulf livery ones
  22. Interesting shoes, nice design but the colour scheme (i get the reference) won't go with many outfits i'd presume.
  23. :hmmm: The name tenebra has brought back so many memories, she was one sassy chick. Happy Birthday Tduck! To another 8 years of muppetry and excitement and then disappointment over MOORPG games! :D
