  1. Now Now lets not argue. Yes its annoying that this thread has come back from the dead, but at least it was a constructive post and not spam. A lso he has a fair point in people posting just to tell them what they done wrong. If you feel that someone has done something wrong report it, don't take matters into your own hands as we end up with arguements like above. @AMG Hammer, just becuase you don't like what someone has posted theres no need to insult them or there dog.
  2. You would use the bricks with the smooth tops for the seat ;)
  3. I loved lego as a kid and when I look at some of the stuff they are releasing now it is immense compared to what it used to be, especially the technic stuff. Wish I was 10 again. So I'm looking forward to see what and how he does this as I loved lego and being in the buidling trade it will be interesting from both angles.
  4. Top Gear star to build Lego house 3 hours 28 mins ago May is planning to construct the two-storey building in Dorking, Surrey, with the help of volunteers. He has even said he will live in the house, which will feature a staircase, toilet and shower, in the days after it is completed. The house, in the Denbies Wine Estate, will be made from more than three million Lego bricks. May is asking for donations of bricks from the public as he does not know exactly how many will be needed for the building day next Saturday. He told BBC News Online: "I've got a man working on a flushing Lego lavatory. We think it's possible. "Things like power supply, sanitation and plumbing coming into the house are as they could be for a real building - everything within my Lego house must as far as possible be Lego." The project is being undertaken as part of BBC series James May's Toy Stories. The Lego house follows the creation of a Plasticine garden at this year's Chelsea Flower Show, which won May the People's Choice Award. Source
  5. Hull ISP cuts off suspected file sharers Ian Williams Humberside internet service provider (ISP) Karoo has started cutting off customers suspected of illegal file-sharing, as part of a 'three strikes' policy aimed at cutting piracy. According to reports, customers disconnected by the provider have been sent a formal notification, and must sign a document admitting guilt and promising not to do it again in order to be reconnected. Users continuing to illegally share and download content could face permanent disconnection after a third violation. The move has been slammed by the Open Rights Group (ORG), an organisation set up to preserve and promote 'digital rights'. The group pointed out that there is no legal procedure or right of appeal taking place, and that there are no other telecoms companies in Hull, limiting the option of moving to another provider. "People are being found guilty by a Kang-Karoo court," said Jim Killock, executive director of the ORG. "Internet access is crucial for freedom of expression in the digital age. It's also how people do business and gain an education. A monopoly like Karoo cannot be allowed to arbitrarily decide when to limit our fundamental rights. Only courts can do that." Source
  6. Mine was £495 iirc for 5 cars but it was at an airfield, the trouble is it appears that proper tracks charge alot more, probably coz if you go off theres more damages that can be done to the car and track unlike an airfield.
  7. Sounds like a good day. What was the track like as I've only been round a makeshift track on an airfield. I'm toying with the idea of going thruxton to drive the Viper (SRT-10) I drove the Vantage's bigger brother the DB9, it changed gear smoothly (something to do with a special diff and clutch) and didn't lag like other flappy paddles. I bet the Scud had a bit of lag when changing. Didn't know that any of the trackdays had Scuds yet thought they where all noraml F430's.
  8. Like the new set up of the GG and GDG, looks alot better. Also like the addition of the tech forum so we can talk phones, sat navs, ipods, sky+, etc. And Iced, leave ETS alone :p
  9. I'm gonna update the scores onceor twice a week so I ain't doing it all the time. Un less another mod wants to help :p
  10. Cool, you got the 1st AMD on the board. But if you could use CPUz or a program that shows your CPU details and what its clocked at ;)
  11. This is the "official" SuperPi rank thread. This has been updated with new rules, as well as a new layout of the ranks for easier review. Results will ONLY be listed if they are run using the SuperPi Mod program linked to below, all results posted using the standard version of SuperPi will NOT be posted (this goes for all prior results as well). Here are the following rules and terms: All tests must be run using SuperPi Mod. All tests must be run using the 1M test. All results must be accompanied by a screenshot showing CPU speed (CPU-Z Preferred). Only results run using SuperPi Mod will be posted below. Only one result per-person, per-system will be recorded. For those of you that don't know what SuperPi is, it's basically a little program that calculates Pi, and gives you a time based on how quickly your processor can perform it. It's not multi-threaded so dual-core and quad-core processors don't show an improvement over single-core processors. You can download it for free here: http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/366/ Results that are in blue are from Intel processors, results in red are from AMD, and all others are in llight grey. SuperPi Ranks: Fastest CPU's: Intel: 12.106s Core 2 Quad Q9550 @ 4012MHz (NitroBlueUK) AMD: 27.612s Athlon64 6000+ X2 @ 3300MHz (Mellors) Top Three: 1) 12.106s NitroBlueUK (Q9550 @ 4012) 2) 12.710s Robiin (E8400 @ 3706) 3) 14.047s Pyrre (E7200 @ 3801) Top 10: 4) 16.973s Nodz86 (Q9550 @ 2830) 5) 27.612s Mellors (6000+ X2 @ 3300) Top 20: I'll Kick it off heres mine: 16.973s on an Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 @ 2.83GHz Idea from computerforum.com
  12. Xbox LIVE Update Preview Program I am happy to announce that we’re doing an Xbox 360 System Update Preview program for our next release, and the opportunity to sign up is now available. Much like we did last year, you’ll need to visit the Microsoft Connect site from this link and sign in with your Windows LIVE ID that is connected to your Xbox LIVE Gamertag. Once you do that, you need to fill out the "Xbox LIVE Update Preview Sign Up" survey in order to be considered for receiving the Preview System Update. We're asking a few questions about where you live, your home network, ISP connection and a few other pieces of information. We are looking for a good cross-section of our members in order to get the best feedback we can. The Xbox team will then review all of the applications and if you’re selected we’ll send you an email notifying you of your acceptance in the program. A couple of points before you head off to register: We’re looking for multiple thousands of participants, so your chances of making it in are good This opportunity is open to all Xbox LIVE Members in regions where Xbox LIVE is available. Just completing the survey does not automatically get you access to the Preview Program. We’ll be making final selections from the completed surveys and send you an email if you are selected. While both box LIVE Gold and Silver members can sign up, Priority will be given to Gold members in the selection process. If you are accepted, you'll hear from us in about a week. Make sure your information on Connect is updated so we can email you if you are accepted. Also, I’ll be sure to updated/edit if the program fills up. Sign up for the Xbox LIVE Update Preview Program Good luck! Source: Major Nelson
  13. Nope all I see is white boxes with red crosses Edit: Just tried all 4 of my browsers (IE, FF, Chrome and Safari and none of them display the pics
  14. Brilliant find pics not working ;)
  15. Alpha he left it a week before posting again, this is acceptable. If the posts were in the same day or 2 days apart then yes he should've used the edit button, but after a week as I've alreday said is fine. Using the edit button after a week of no responses is pointless as no one will see it as it will not get bumped. And Ramsey don't be so harsh, please report instead of having a go yourself ;)
  16. Dodgem beat me to an update thread, :p Good find dodgem. Looks a bit exaggerated like all the lists do before any official announcements. So i would expect some of that list to vanish.

  18. I'll just wait and see what all the who ha is like when it is released then decide as I'm toying with the idea of an i7 rig next year so not sure about an upgrade
  19. There will be an OEM upgrade, there always is, probably on scan, ebuyer and the like. Edit: Just seen mellors post, so does that mean no OEM??
  20. agree with you about the x64 mellors. Wasn't that court case about forcing people (without them knowing) to use IE as most don't know they have a choice and are unfairly dominating the market with it. I'm sure that was the reason about that court case or one of them anyways
  21. So is this just the upgrade disc for vista I take it?? And would I be right in stating that its only 32bit editions and not 64bit?? @ Iced, Microsoft are cutting down on the amount or "freebies" they release with their OS and have a site dedicated for downloading them.
  22. I don't think he is working on the daf atm, can't remember the status on the trailer. I'll have a look later as there is more shots posted on another forum ;)
