Well I've got the Q9550 and its great, Scan has it at £241 but with all these sites prices change dailey. I see the Asus board your going for has the Nvidia chipset on it, I take it your card is Nvidea. As for Asus I like the board I got from them and you get loads of goodies with them. You could get the ram I've got with the cooler. As for the PSU you can't go wrong with Corsair, and they give you a stupid amount of leads. Is the £500 just for the CPU, RAM, MoBo and PSU or are you getting a new CPU fan ,HDD, case or other bits you might not have listed???

BTW Scremo is EMO but with them screaming and more heavier hance the name Screamo

Do we have to get into what is nu metal and what is not. Nu Metal is something with Decks (witch Slipknot have and Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit) or something with Rapping bits mixed with Metal (which slipknot has, asnd linkin park and limp Bizkit and Papa Roach)or anything that was "new" and "Metal" around the period LB got chocolate starfish in the charts and went mainstream. Slipknot is not death metal. Death Metal is early Sepaltura stuff, Napalm Death, Children of Bodom and early Fear Factory and early (demo stuff) from Cradle Of Filth.

Well I have the Premium version oif that Mobo and its good so I can see the pro being up to what you want. I have the sapphire HD4870 but again the gigbyte uses the same technology and your only really paying for the name. Have a look and scan and overclockers to see if they have anything cheaper, some of the things I got was £20 cheaper. And remember your gonn need more money by the time you include a monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers etc etc

Not strictly true. Here in the UK after Deawoo went under people still bought there cars (ok they where eventually bought by Cheverolet). Then poeple kept buying Rovers and MG's when they went under even though they are prown to head gasket faliure and parts became even harder to find.

I remember diablo saying that you can view other peoples pictures from MCLA, and all new rockstar games are going to be compatable with the R*SC. Edit: just been on there and I can't find that feature but it does say the friend system is coming soon. So when that kicks off is when I reckon you will be able to view all that stuff.

Shadow the social club is multi platform and for many games not just GTA

Shadow you can view others profiles and you can look at others pictures from MCLA, there stats from MCLA and GTA and any new game from R* will probably be compatable with this feature. I know Diablo was going to redesign that area and was thinking about making the XBL, PSN,, xfire and gamerspy into buttons like the MSN one etc. IIRC there was a thread made where people started to design buttons for them.

This was from the Aceybongos, Community Manager, Xbox EMEA in London, which means it is outin the UK and probably Europe but I am not sure about the rest of the world as it did not appear on majornelson. As for platforms other than Xbox I have no idea. I would say check the Grid website

It is a multi platform thing, might be good to have a button like you do for hotmail and skype etc as having it like the xfire/gamertag/PN ID would start to make that area bit long
