1. Porsche accuses Nissan GT-R of cheating the 'Ring Posted Sep 30th 2008 9:02AM by Jeremy Korzeniewski Filed under: Supercars, Nissan, Porsche Click above for high-res gallery of the Nissan GT-R Sour grapes or legitimate complaint? That's the question we're left pondering after reading that Porsche believes Nissan must have cheated to record its 7:29:03 lap time of the famed Nürburgring race circuit. Porsche claims that it had been suspicious of the Nissan's lap times, so it acquired a U.S.-spec GT-R for testing back-to-back with its own 911 Turbo and GT2. The result? The mighty Godzilla was toppled by the Teutonic German duo, with the GT-R posting times a good 25-seconds slower than Nissan's claim. How can Porsche explain the discrepancy? "This wonder car with 7:29 could not have been a regular series production car. For us, it's not clear how this time is possible. What we can imagine with this Nissan is they used other tires," says August Achleitner, the man in charge of the 911 program. There is footage of the GT-R lapping the 'Ring at high speed, but it's taken from inside the car where the tires cannot be seen. Considering the fact that Nissan saw fit to issue a press release commemorating the car's fast-lap, we doubt this is something that will be taken lightly. There's a big can 'o worms here, and Porsche's in the corner holding the opener. From Autoblog
2. Thats what I was trying to say last night in the chatbox but couldn't remember what it was called, so tried to explain it and i don't think i done it to well.
3. Nah had to get it off the ms gadget site thing. want to get some more but the ones on there dont look that good, need to find a good site.
4. I think a poll needs to be added now as we can see the sizes and them moved to the 1st post for everone to see. Good work Mike. I reckon 550 x 125 is good as 550 x 100 is not high enough. 450 x 150 and 400 x 150 are to square. 450 x 100 looks good and 400 x 100 looks abit to small/squarish.. And I also like it how it is now.
5. Well heres my latest one, I've got another 5 I'm stuck between, but this ones winning atm.
6. Balto its not dodge doing the sale, its the owner of dodge, chrysler. Also The chrysler name is the only other manufacturer to bear the viper name.
7. I didn't think about that, that would be the only exception to them selling the brand, but still wont be to happy
8. To test the components as its pointless putting it all in and finding out it didnt work. All i had to do after was unplug the gpu and psu and the monitor and keyboard, it was also to run the bios and to see if i had a stable cpu temp to make sure i done the paste right. The cpu fan is, theres 3mm gap between it and the side fan on the case
9. Some pics of it being built: Pre putting in case test of components cpu 35c mobo 38c When I was stressed due to the case and wires needed putting away
10. I think what Diablo is trying to say is, he has all that money but probably does not have any of the exclusive cars
11. I did think that when I read it, I was thinking why would a car with an Icon of a raging bull name a car that in turn could kill itself, if you get what I mean. I know it was early and I can never spell Citreon.
12. well the pics now gone. Update for you all, started properly about 11:30 and its still not done, its lucky it isn't down the other end of the garden Put most of it together and done a pre run checks and runs fine (cpu, fans, ram, gpu, psu). putting it in the case is a nightmare, the size of the cpu means the usbs and phono jacks on top of the case have to come out. and the case being this easy to put together with no tools is a load of [enter word of choice]. So haveing a break and hopefully its now just a case of plugging stuff in
13. Well, I know how it all goes together and in what order its just this mobo has so many features its unreal, it even has its own onboard OS so I don't even have to boot windows to surf the web or talk on msn, skype or to view pictures
14. lol, you wouldn't want to wake up to this motherboard userguide tho
15. Todays the day of the build, I'll probably post on here when its done with some more pics. Step 1: Put all componants in pretty pile for picture Step2: wait for mate to arrive
16. I'm not a happy bunny after reading this especially as a "Tuner" could be buying it. Its one of Dodges most iconic vehicles of recent times and to sell it, well I can't work it out myself. From Autoblog
17. Diablo, it night not be called a uras another name floating about is Estoque, which is a blade that kills the bull at the end of a fight, heres the link. And a few more pics of that citrion GT
18. Its because it is a seperate program and it is not pointed out on the box that it is needed to be installed so you can play the game. I think thats the long and short of it.
19. Bit OT but how much does zmodeler cost? its just a few games I'm gonna be playing use it to mod
20. Haha, i can't afford to considering my pc is still in the boxes waiting to be put together. If money was no object then I would build another one at the start of 2010 but tbh somthing else will be due out then.
