I looked on my Dad's computer for software for recording off DVD (as he uses it to record off DVD after My mum has filmed her driving lessons for her pupils), and I found several programs which work slightly. But this (MagicDVDRipper) works the best. http://www.magicdvdripper.com/ Just download the free trial, and don't regster, this way you're able to keep the prgram (well Dad's had it for about a year without any hacking ...) Just don't click register each time you open the program. I've only tested writing to MPEG1. I will try AVI now. MPEG1 is really only good for when you're about to youtube something, as the quality gets lost when it's at 200% Recording to AVI is best quality, however you will need a DivX codec such as this (the one I got) http://www.divx.com/divx/windows/ Screen-shots 1&2 added (MPEG1 only) . Smaller is 100% video size in WMP, and larger is 200% in WMP. the quality is slightly better, however the jpg compressing, and the fact I had to adust my display settings via Windows Desktop right-cligk thingy, the quality will be improved on anyone's computer. Screen-shots are from the Recorded File from a DVD+R. E: Second 2 Scren-shots are the AVI file produced. Screen-shots 3&4 added (AVI only) . You do not have to give your personal details away, I signed Promary_Drift up, and took a screen shot. All the details apart from 'country of origin' and 'email' and 'gender' are false. No one will be able to tell you've lied, and I'm sure they wont care if you dont spam, and hack their system. After all they have t respect that you dont want to give you personal details away. You could put your name as 'Car' (-first name) 'boyX' (-second name) - simple :)

[RANT] Thanks for the cruise tonight guys. It was really good, and I'm sure I will be able to make a decent video out of my 2.1 hours recording ;) But on a serious note guys. enough of the bitching and slagging each other off. I know when people crash it's a pain, especially when a video is being recorded. But you just have to grin and bare it. Plus, some people there tonight were getting annoyed by the constant video filming. If that's the case, then you're free to go and cruise some place else. We will respect that you dont want to keep stopping every so oftern to film. However if you wish to cruise when we're filming like we were tongiht, then please dont moan, and respect our "orders" to line up here and there. Please in future, keep the vulgar language to a minmum, otherwise, if it's a repeat of the middle stint tonight, then I will just map out and drive by myself, because the constant wingeing, and swearing was getting anoying, and the amount of text which will be in the video as a result of this is just too much. I hope my rant make sence, and you'll endever to improve on the points, as its better for the promotion on TDU:C and general moral. I don't see why tonight was different to any other night, as we normally all get on fine. Well resizing is very easy. Picasa does the job. Just open the picture in it, and click resize. Thanks for this info, I'd never really twigged that this happens :p You dont really have to ... Nothing gets displayed on your profile etc Which is why I said any photo LARGER than 800x600 is not allowed, which is I thought people would know that 800x450 is allowed. There will be a TDU:C Gumball challenge around that time too, so when we get closer to the time, hopefully you will be on MP with a decent car. As you cannot, without changing files around difficultyl (IDK how to) switch the offline profile to the online profile. Is there any reason why you will not be on MP until XMas?

Installing TDU and Megapack, Patching and Uninstalling Info *Update* First off I'll say I didn't write the first 2 points, only the Megapack installation. A mod felt it should become a new thread and sticky in itself. TDU PC PATCH CONTENT TDU PC IMPORTANT NOTES FOR PATCHING AND UNINSTALLING TDU PC - INSTALLING MEGAPACK After you've purchased the Megapack, you should recieve an email containing your Megapack serial code. Download the .exe as instructed and then simply run it and when prompted enter your serial code. Make sure it's correct, then continue with the installation. The Megapack does contain Patch 1.44A however it is suggested to install that seprately before the Megapack (if not already installed). I will allow the entrants to add brigtness and a SIMPLE border ONLY, as many people get very dark photos when using TDU Photomode. Cropping: Yes Resizing: Has to be 800x600 or less! Brighteneing: Yes (to a degree) Contrasting: No Border: Yes (simple) Atistic Effects: No Bluring: (outside the TDU photomode, no) but it is allowed if it was done in the TDU photomode. Colour level changing: no The theme this week is to be Ferraris. Any Ferrari, any color, anywhere, and any amount of cars in each shot. However no other type of car is allowed to be visible. This theme is hopefully not too difficult. Right, freezing, another problem. Myself and a few other members on TDU PC use a trick each time we open TDU. Just deleted the 'Test Drive Unlimited' folder in 'C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data' this deleted the Cache files and the CD-Key, meaning you do have to re-enter the CD-Key everytime you open TDU, however it improves FPS for me, and means I dont get the save freeze etc. Also I've decided to run my comp on minimum spec, as this improves FPs and almost gets rid of the very occasional second freezes. Hope this trick means you can stay on TDU more, even though I've never actually cruised with you....

I like to get more than one source when researching stuff, as one could be fibbing just to get you to buy thier product. But I still recomend the Ps2 controller adaptor for £4.99 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Playstation-PC-Converter-PS2/dp/B000IIXYSE/ref=pd_sbs_ce_shvl_title_3/026-1551731-3305226 is its significantly cheaper than a G25. But if a wheel is what you're after, then the G25 is what you'll want, even if it's that much more exnsive than a "normal" wheel for PC.
