Then I did 6 coats of colour and 6 coats of lacquer. They're not the best looking wheels on the planet, if you look really close you can see imperfections in the surface, but that's due to how knackered they were before! With them on the car and in such a dark colour you don't notice the tiny imperfections though. They look almost military in the grey though, lol. Snow is annoying, really struggling to get the power down. I'm basically driving around on half throttle not using the turbo whatsoever, maybe hitting 5psi of boost at the most. If I floor it even in 3rd the front end starts snaking about.

EDIT: Ooooh yeah, about a week ago I tweaked the wastegate some more and got my target of 18psi! Awesomesauce. Bloody shifts for 13yr old diesel, lol. With it burning the extra fuel properly, it seems more efficient too. It's reading just over 300 miles with just under half a tank left. Never got that before.

So, I'm an idiot. I bought a manual boost controller for £12.50 (bargain!) turned out I didn't need it. Well, I couldn't find where to fit it, lol. I decided to try tightening the wastegate arm a bit more than I had already. I first tried tightening it all the way, effectively disabling the wastegate, so the fuelling was the limiting factor for the boost. Remember kids, I've already turned up the fuelling. Long story short, it hit at least 20psi (the gauge only goes that high, lol). I turned the wastegate down a tiny bit after that and it's now sitting at 16psi, woo! :cool:

NOOOOES! Horrible air-brush art on a Diablo! WHHHYYYYY?!! Anyway, while walking home from the pub last night I saw a silver Mercedes SLS AMG, it sounded gorgeous, proper old-school V8 rumble down the street.

I was in traffic with a white one yesterday. It overtook me at full chat, it backfired with every gear change. Caught up with it in a queue a bit further down the road. It looks massive from inside my 306! Like a bloody bus!

I check the beta forums daily and there's bugger-all going on there. It's a ghost town. There are entire sections of the forum with the last post made on the 15th, for example.:( The last actual announcement was on the 7th!

Psssssh... Shaddup, you're in an HDi, they're quite refined compared to the old 1.9DT engine, which I have. It's got proper turbo lag. Knock it down a cog and it shifts though, the power delivery is quite violent though. It actually throws my head against the seat when the turbo gets going properly, lol. It's caught me out on wet roundabouts before. Here's me thinking of installing a boost controller too... :lol:

My F430 must be strange then, as it seems to be fine for me. :lol:

This model works so much better replacing the F430. It sits lower on the suspension, no need to mess about with the camera or IK, it just works straight off. I thought the choice to replace the 575 was a bit odd... :confused:
