Not for me. :p We used to have a Samsung HD LCD TV in the living room a few years ago. It decided to completely break no more than a day after the warranty had run out. Good job we had the extended warranty though. Replaced with and LG and has lasted over 3 times longer than the Samsung. But hey, that's just my experience with them and it was a few years ago now.

Macs are good and what not, but a PC offers so much more value for money for me. Not to mention that there is more software available for PCs and the ability to easily upgrade them. I was brought up using PCs and haven't used many macs so I'm going with PC.

Ahh right, fair enough.

It uses 7MB RAM and barely affects the CPU at all. So there isn't really any performance impact at all for me, even on my laptop.

LG! Had mine for almost 4 years now and it gets quite regular use and nothing has gone wrong with it at all so far. And iirc LG make most of the LCD screens too so they are great quality.

Perhaps a change of title might help. Mention in the title that you are offering your 3DS Max models to a modder. You can change the title by editing it in your first post.

It just sounds like it's the laser arm thing(forgot the proper term for it) is catching on something inside the drives casing. The same thing can happen on hard drives as they get older. It shouldn't causes any damage to the disk. But if you're worried about it, the best thing to do would be to buy a new drive. DVDRW drives are quite cheap now, you can get them in the UK for about £15 so probably about €20.

I too have a decent PC, well, it was 2 years ago when I built it but it still performs well in most games when I overclock it. Also have an Xbox 360 and easy access to a PS3. And the one I play and enjoy the most is the Xbox, it's more of a social console, relatively cheap, has very good graphics for the price and only costs about £25 a year for XBL. Overall it's just an easier and more enjoyable experience. PC gaming is also good, but it lacks the social feel for me and a PC will need upgrading every couple of years to play the most recent games at a good quality. Which whilst that is something that I can afford to do, it's something that I don't do as I don't use the PC often enough to justify spending a lot of money upgrading it. As to the PS3, it's more of a media centre than anything else to me. Fair enough it plays games, but there is still a lack of quality PS3 games. And any multi-platform games I get for the Xbox as online seems more reliable and of a better quality. The blu-ray player is the main feature of a PS3 for me.

It's probably the closest you will get though.

Moved to the TDU PC section. By the sounds of it, you updated the game whilst it was running. This causes the problem you described. You need to uninstall the game, then install it again. Once it is installed, ensure that it isn't running before installing the 1.66A patch. Then it should work fine afterwards. :)
