Excellent condition that Golf is in - what is she upgrading to?

I took some nice pics when Autolog was full, thinking that I'd still be able to find them on my PC - but they don't seem to be there :(

It's feels about the same size as Most Wanted's map. The figure might suggest otherwise, but it definately feels smaller than the NFS Undercover map. Then again I never got around to going all around the NFSU map due to all the bugs and woeful physics.

Didn't you make any backups at all along the way? We don't allow the sharing of game files here.

Glad you got it working - here are some other tips: "Green" or "Eco" drives are the slow ones unfortunately, saving power instead of maximising performance. If you're in the market for a new WD HDD, go for the Black series. You can also check the size and location of your Windows page file, and see if moving it to another drive and then rebooting helps. Also use Task Manager to close processes that don't need to be running. Use msconfig to stop programs running at startup that aren't necessary. If you've not heard of some of the things I mentioned, just do a Google search on them, they're pretty easy.

If you find an auction on Ebay that you really want to win - head over to GIXEN - Free eBay Auction Sniper, log in using your Ebay credentials. Copy the Ebay Item ID number into the gixen website and type in your absolute maximum bid there. The website will then wait until 2--5 seconds before the auction ends and place the lowest winning-bid possible (up to your max). It's called 'sniping'. Some call it unfair, others call it convenient - I've never lost an auction using it (unless it went beyond my max bid). So if you do find a G25 and decide to snipe it with a max bid of $200, then the website will wait until the last second - up until this point no bids will be placed by you, so you won't be bumping up the price. If the bid at the end is $125, then it'll place a bid for you at the next lowest possible bid, which is something like $127.50, and you'll win. :)

What did I tell you all - EA and CG suck at looking after PC players. I'd be more annoyed at them, but my copy of HP from India for only $22 has yet to arrive :( Knowing my luck, it's probably waiting around and work and my colleague has forgotten to drop it 'round.

There aren't many Fanatec owners here. It's not my fault they decided to name their wheels after the manufacturer that has the most confusing model line-up :lol: The G25 stick-shift is good, but you can live without it. If you're after fast laps, etc, it's quicker to use the paddles usually anyway. There's not a great deal of difference between the G25/G27, you'll be very happy with either one. Since the G25 has been around longer, it'll be supported out of the box in a greater number of games. Neither of them will work on the Xbox though.

I'll only get it if I can use my G25 with it (i.e. a PC/PS3 release).

Someone made a spreadhseet full of stats to make it easier to pick the best cars for winning races. Most of the races are pretty easy so it doesn't matter too much. You can also go to VRent to rent cars for 20 minutes to test them out - and you can even use them for races.
