  1. I hope the O'ahu island remake features these new Ford police cars (look great): http://www.freep.com/article/20100313/BUSINESS01/3130351/1322/Ford-introduces-patrol-car-to-replace-Crown-Victoria
  2. Those pics are brilliant - can't wait for the HQ release
  3. Hmm, maybe Diablo did know something after all. We just have to see if they release the game on time or not :)
  4. As much as I hope they add a Simulation mode that is accessible fro mthe start of the game, I wouldn't mind also having moon gravity mode as a 3rd option (for jumping over fences to get to certain spots, etc). Looking forward to seeing those scanned pages from the magazine guys.
  5. If that turns out to be true - that would mean I have to find a fast buddy to team up with before someone else get's them... :) Leadfoot already asked me, and he's pretty quick, so I'm happy with that. Everyone else better hurry up though.
  6. Those graphics look pretty sweet to me - I can't wait. :D
  7. Yes, but they wouldn't write "coming soon" on the page for that reason :)
  8. Thanks mate. It was harder just getting that thing around the corners compared to drifting the Carera GT last month :D (j/k) My gfx died, and I'm waiting for the nVidia 400 series (borrowing an old 8400 GS in the interim) so I'm not sure if I'll help Leadfoot out with the next one (guess I could always try playing at 640x480) :(
  9. You mean Eugene and Todd :) "Record expires on 27-Feb-2014" Oh well, at least we know it can't come any later than then. :D
  10. There is a section for car requests. This is not that section. :)
  11. Reinstall the game, or install it on another PC and copy the two files accross. Make backups in future.
  12. Do you think ePH could refer to Police Headquaters?? If not do you know which file(s) contain the Oahu Police Station? (I've never seen that Church in my game, Spongie, I'll use that bookmark and see what happens)
  13. Can't wait to try it, but please don't use 4shared.com to host files, as soon as I clicked the link, MS Security Essentials blocked the website from download a trojan (not your file, something else on the webpage, maybe an ad).
  14. Thanks for the Diablo - looks great - just need to find a new sound mod (I haven't looked yet). Just a shame I have to adjust the ingame seat position when I get into it - hopefully in TDUNext each car remembers it's own seat position.
  15. Not a word or email of acknowledgment from Atari yet. Tsk, tsk. :(
  16. My email password is unique compared to passwords I use on the net, so not much to worry about there. I'll likely change it afterwards, though. The guy has a German email address posted there, and I haven't seen any sour threads on the English forums there. You'd think someone who goes to all the trouble of hacking servers would have a more appealing webpage design. :p
  17. BTW, did I miss an annoucement regarding the disappearance of the chat box on the main page? Or is that just Diablo being Diablo again? :)
  18. Ok so it's not these forums that I'm having issues with, but I'm sure Diablo or someone can notify the admins if they don't already know what's going on. Spose I'll have to pick a winner for the caption game later on. :ill: I'm assuming I'll have to change my password once it's back up and running? I wonder what Atari could've possible done to annoy these people? :oook:
  19. What-ever the final name of the new game is, they'll want to keep it hidden for as long as possible, so that someone else doesn't beat them to purchasing relevant domain names (i.e. that highlife URL was acquired soon after the name was thrown around here). 'TDU2' also has a lot of references on the Internet, over 3 million Google Search results, etc. Atari will likely want to separate fact from fiction (rumors) and have a clean slate for when the game is announced formerly.
  20. Forza3 sounds like a lot of fun, but it's released on an overpriced console that's inferior to the PS3, and doesn't support the G25 wheel, so I will never know how good it actually is. If they made the G25 compatible, I'd probably buy a console just for that game. I'm looking forward to GT5 though, the G25 support in that game is great (GT5P gets boring with the limited tracks though). Would be better if both games came out on the PC as well.
  21. Rename all the files so that they are shorter and are exactly the same (the extension will be different). i.e. Winter.zip, Winter.z01, Winter.z02...... Winter.z12
  22. Welcome back. Sorry if my last post above sounded a little mean, wasn't sure if your message was directed at me personally or not :p I use FRAPS to record at half of my screen res (which ends up being 720x452) at 40 FPS (so that I can add slow-motion effects if required without it lagging). I use Sony Vegas Pro to put it all together, and have been making movies for around 2 years now. If you watch 'The Diversion' at http://www.youtube.com/SpeedCarProductions, you'll find that I took care of most of the special effects (i.e. Night to day transition in TDU (Waterfall scene), various helicopter in TDU shots, putting the TDU replay shots together, etc), and filmed some stuff for LeadfootYT, who get's most of the credit since he originally wrote the script/idea, before I added/changed stuff for him to make it a bit better. I'm about 40% through my next movie. Most of the TDU stuff is done, most of what I need to get now if from Crysis, FSX, and NFS Shift.I might be able to have it finished in a few weeks, but it ultimately depends on how quickly Leadfoot is able ot help me out with the Crysis Sandbox Editor (tryiing to get a GreenScreen map working).
  23. Maybe I'll give it a go, after I finish a bit more of my next movie. Hope you don't mind if it's in VB.NET :)
  24. If performance packs are going to work, I think there have to be ones that work online as well, not just the offline ones. It would be awesome if there was one simple application used to download and install car mods (plus managing backups, rims, car names in game, sounds (if avail), preview screenshots, car updates, (as ong as none of these prevent online play), etc). You'd need the permission from Tool, Reaper, etc to store their mods online in a central location. I visti the mod shop a few times per month and download a stash of new releases, then forget which mods are of the highest quality. I could make something, but I don't have suitable online storage space, plus yourself and Djey already have a head start in this anyway.
