  1. When you have everything sorted, try putting the new road lines on the original road surface - it's the best of both worlds. Kudo's for working out how to change the road surface and all that, but it's still fair to say it's not at the same standard as the original and probably looks reminiscent of the original Test Drive game :) Iced - surely you'd just get them to reinstall TDU rather then upload those huge files (let alone I don't think it's legal to upload those files)
  2. That's great Whats left on the to-do list for that car - can't be much left before its finished
  3. +Rep That's seriously awesome Basbas - great detail model + transparent windows + interior + extra lights - wow. Looking forward to getting that download link soon :) I don't care what you like Leadfoot - I'm using that in a movie due to it's excellent quality - I just have to write a script for it.
  4. Yeah well we do need some drivers for a chase scene in the next movie - so you could very well find yourself a part of that if you're available and we get some more people (need about 5 (myself and Leadfoot included)).
  5. yeah that should be fine i'll have to see it first hand though i guess keep up the good work
  6. Good job, I forgot why frank had to kill his opponent though? Pretty much all the new mod cars float a bit - same happened with my Bugatti
  7. Notice how in the first pic, despite it being dark and all, you can still see the sun shining on my backside - that's what I was talking about before.
  8. I'm most interested in the Night+Mist mod I've actually got some pretty good results from it already, but when I use it the day doesn't look as good anymore. Ideally, you should incorporate your day mod into the day part of the Night+Mist mod, ensuring all weather works well with HDR on. If you ever want to advertise any of your weather mods and want to show pics using a high-end PC, let me know and I'll take some pics for you to use. Here's some of the Night+Mist mod that I've taken recently - they look great - much better than the old Night mod I used a while ago:
  9. Great work with the Lambo Basbas How's the GT3 RS going - no of course Leadfoot didn't ask me to say that
  10. Hi Basbas I was trying out the Audi RS4 with spoiler and was cruising with Leadfoot who was also in an RS4. I noticed taht when he was a bit far away from me you could only see the skeleton of the car. I think in most car games (even old ones like NFS 2) the cars have 2 models, a high detail one for when your close up behind it and a low detail one for when there's a bit more distance behind you. You probably haven't noticed it since you only test it when your driving it and not when someone else is. Perhaps when you get a spare moment you can check it out and see if any other cars have the same problem. Keep up the great work.
  11. Do you have an updated HDR Weather.ini file for me - I've turned mine off and do like the night+mist mod quite a bit - better than the previous ones I've used - but I'd really like to turn HDR back on.
  12. I'm guessing theres images in a bnk files - so you'll need the bnk editor and dds converter thingo - don't know which file though
  13. I noticed that, but it's still somewhat relevant since he's been working on this film last week. Going back in my shell now :)
  14. That's good to hear you're still working on it - I've played around with those ini files too - but there's just so much tedious editing to do for them. If you do get successful with it, can you please make note of what you changed so that the same changes can be made to the HDR one (without changing everything so that there is no more HDR)?
  15. Well I'd like a fix for that too - sure we have a night mode that makes the sky black - but you still have the sun lighting up everything - especially with HDR on.
  16. Some cars that aren't proper manual transmission don't work with it (ie flappy paddel gearbox cars). Try using it with a proper manual + clutch car and see if it works.
  17. Those photos were taken a long time back on my old PC Most of my photos are here. Sort by date to get the ones taken on my new PC down the bottom together. Use the DL links at the top left to get 1440x900 version. I otherwise post my pics to the official European TDU forum.
  18. XFX nVidia GeForce 9800 GX2 System specs on the left I play TDU at 1440x900 (due to monitor size) with 32x AA and 32x AF Supersampling forced and get between 80-120 FPS
  19. I wonder if you could also play with the texture editor to get rid of the R&R logo on the truck for your movie, leadfoot you cannot escape my suggestions :)
  20. Yes it does switch (one of the ini files has a number you can edit to speed up or slow down the time scale of day/night). Some of my older night pics: And some pics from when I was editing my own version of the weather files to see what effects I'd get:
  21. I thought the ocean looked really good unmodded:
  22. @fishywishy - Upload your widescreen shots to Google's PicassaWeb thingy - it's what I use for my 1440x900 pics Example: http://picasaweb.google.com/ryzza007/TestDriveUnlimited
