    Having used it a little bit, here's the situation: - No alert to new messages when hidden - you have to bring the chatbox up (F3) and check - Can't pan around the car with the mouse while it is displaying - Can't use mouse to move around the map view while it is displaying + Defaults to a good location, balances easy to read with not being in the way or too far out of the way (glance reading) + Can be moved and resized (drag top-left / bottom-right corners) + Can choose to chat with Crew or Freeride session - don't have to read other people's chat that you're not interested in.

    Check in the game options - audio - have you muted anything in there? Maybe yo've turned voices off or something that wouldn't expect to have an effect. As the game is new and we're all still learning, it may be best to open Ubi support tickets as well and keep us informed of the answer when discovered, so that we can help others later.

    And here I was thinking that Canadadadadians were a friendly bunch :lol: When you complete all the story missions in the Midwest and move on to the East Coast, pick a faction (Eagles) when prompted and you'll get the credits. If it weren't for that I'd have a perfect win ratio in PvP right now and be ranked better than the top 75. Was way in the lead, had to jump one of those Chicago draw-bridges, was dead straight, off gas and on clutch for the landing, and car spins out into a tree and gets stuck on landing.

    Yeah I getcha, TDU had good car progress (and options for cruising). The Crew seems to have a lot more rubbish cars, tuned rubbish cars, and then a jump to your Alfa's and so on, then supercars. The problem with a lack of choice is that you'll end up with everyone on the best car, perhaps tuning may offset that, but requires a leap of faith when you test drive some of them stock. I'm tempted to blow some cash on the M3 to try that out, but I'm saving money for purchases necessary for story progression.

    I disagree. Ridge Racer/recent NFS games for example. "Tap brake to drift" is what NFS Most Wanted 2012 suggested. TDU2 also bears no resemblance to reality.

    Have enjoyed listening to a few of the retro cover versions of songs done by Postmodern Jukebox these last few months. Been listening to a bit of Ellie Goulding, Ladyhawke, Lana Del Rey, Alcazar, Jamiroquai, and the Horizon Pulse soundtrack this year.
