  1. Been watching it again (who hasn't?), and I noticed something. WHY I HATE THE XBOX 360: REASON #143 So, is this what we have to put up with? Because the xBox is five years old, WE, the up-to-date PC users, have to deal with their horrid standards. Just look at all the low-res textures, the simple smoke, the basic lighting, the basic car movement, the basic environment. Why should a game be built from the start to feature five-year-old graphics? Why not make the game the best it can be first, and, for lack of a better word, "de-tune" it later on? Just look at it: Garage Example Our TDU1, with only the nVidia control panel and our up-to-date graphics cards, looks better than that! It looks like... like... the the PS2 version of TDU! EDIT: Alternate rant - "Check TDU2.com for updates" they say in the trailer. But, um, they haven't even posted that trailer on their site yet. -Leadfoot
  2. 1.) Yeah, you would just go drive your Ferrari Enzo, right? Or maybe your 1-of-20 Reventon? 2.) When you go to drive your Enzo, what sort of speeds do you do on your exotic local roads? 3.) I would consider TDU a semi-simulation. Ever play GRID? That's an arcade. 4.) I, for one, am not old enough to drive. I know there are many people who play racing games but are not old enough to drive, and I, personally, want it to feel like real driving (because it's still a big thing for me). Just sharing my point of view. :) -Leadfoot
  3. It's here. -Leadfoot
  4. LOL, I found those too. :cheeky: What was BADNED's thing about "end of May"? -Leadfoot
  5. Love everyone's DBS pics. This are especially good. :) -Leadfoot
  6. That's only for CTD on start-up. Does it let you join initially? Or does it kick you off later? If it's at the start, Ryzza's idea will probably work. -Leadfoot
  7. I really hope they fix handling. Isn't looking so good right now - the cars spin around too quickly, as if its a feature of the game. They need more weight (a problem in TDU) and some other fixes. I'm interested in seeing what a wheel will do, but I guess we'll have to wait for a beta. (And an interview to see if HC mode is back.) Soundtrack is terrible. Might remix it. Love the last line:
  8. LOL Anyway, happy about the [second] trailer promise, so: :cheeky:
  9. A bunch of magazines (and Atari themselves, I think) have already confirmed co-op driver/navigation. Glad you're excited about it, too, though. :) -Leadfoot
  10. Very nice car there! But if this kit is what you mean, please don't do it - it just looks goofy. Spend the money on something else. Something... performance related. :) -Leadfoot
  11. Nice work! Is the model from Shift or FM3? -Leadfoot
  12. Amazing DBS pics! :) -Leadfoot
  13. Hmm... Think it'll be morning or afternoon? (IE, before I go to school or not?) As always, try not to get too hopeful. What if this turns out to be a teaser, or one of those hideous animated things like the first TDU1 trailer? -Leadfoot
  14. :) I don't think I get all of that, though... -Leadfoot
  15. Yeah, I know. Thought it was for a sec. :) I prefer the current ones, IMO. The edges on those new ones seem a little... sharp. Again, great work on the car. Can't wait for this month's COTM. -Leadfoot
  16. I think he used a trainer (given his explanation of the first pic). However, it is possible to get there using bookmark editing. -Leadfoot
  17. Love the DBS and Cali pics! :) -Leadfoot
  18. Major whoa! -Leadfoot
  19. Fair enough logic, but "We Sixteen" is very open-ended... -Leadfoot
  20. My parent's friends just got a 2007 Mercedes E350, black on black with black wood accents in the interior. It was a huge surprise for me, because I had been helping them look for their car for a month or two. Their previous options were the following: BMW Z4 (they seemed very enthusiastic about this one) Mini Cooper S (they liked it, but tried the following and decided they liked that more...) 2008 Bullit Mustang (they almost bought this one, but the dealer was being a pain and wasn't budging, so as the waited and went back and forth they found the Merc.) The previous owner of the E350 must have spec'ed it up all the way. Of course, an E-Class has tons of equipment anyway, but there's a lot there (sat nav, infinite Serius/XM subscription, etc.). Oh, and I can really feel the difference of the "pressure engineered" buttons - the feel really is perfect. At one point in the ride we hit a rather substantial speed that I won't mention, and it felt like we going 50. Really impressive by luxury standards, even though it is the mid-range Merc. :) -Leadfoot
  21. Was it fifteen permit or fifteen liscense? If it's full license, wow; that's pretty nice. Where I live it's fifteen permit and sixteen restricted license. Then, at seventeen, there are no restrictions and a driver can wander freely upon the open road, etc., etc. -Leadfoot
  22. Cool-looking interior. Is the camera positioned correctly in normal driving, though? -Leadfoot
  23. That's a Dodge Charger... -Leadfoot
  24. This is going to be one awesome COTM... -Leadfoot
