  1. OK, lets make up a rule. And see how it goes. To decide on the final winning photo, there will be a poll in next week's entry thread. But all three winners shall decide the next theme. Literally, there shall be 3 themes. At the end, there will only be one vote, so it doesn't matter if you were the only one to choose a certain theme, you are not entered on your own into a separate vote. If it doesn't make sense, then just ask. And please would Pressurized, RB26DETT and GalyPoland each send me their themes. Thanks!
  2. I'm too tired and depressed at the moment. I just can't do it at all. I may do it after work tomorrow, if not, I may be able to do it after school monday, if not, I won't enter. I feel horrible.
  3. I know what that is! Its rubbish.
  4. Thats brilliant HighlineDSG! Great work.
  5. Hmm what do we do in the event of a tie? Has anyone made up a rule for that yet?
  6. I'm sure in parts of this forum, we have a lot of musical talent, and in other parts, a distinctive lack of it. I started this thread for people to use to post videos of them playing songs/covers or generally mucking about. Talk about what you play, any decent stories from gigs, your kit etc etc etc. To start us off, I'll post a video of myself playing Muse's Butterflies And Hurricanes on a Yamaha grand piano at school. I mucked it up a bit, but oh well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZt2gQVBR6w
  7. I'll do mine tomorrow, when I have some time. Argh.
  8. Both brilliant pictures, but who will take the prize?
  9. I've changed my mind now: SUV - Mercedes Benz G55 AMG. Awesome.
  10. Indeed it was the Renault. Current: Ginetta or Marcos of some kind?
  11. Supercar: Aston Martin DBS Convertible: Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster Sports 1: Audi S5 Sports 2: Morgan Aero 8 (Yeah I know its a convertible, but wth) Family: Audi RS6 Avant SUV: Audi Q7 Epic line up there.
  12. Lamborghini LM002. Edit: I'm suprised no-one got it in the 5 minutes I was away... Anyway: -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) --
  13. ^^ For once CMM I agree entirely with your post. Audi S5 FTMFW!
  14. Lucky you! I should go on one of these someday. I'll never get round to it though. And its the A pillar at the front - that car doesn't have a B pillar, as this image from wikipedia so wonderfully shows: Its very simple, just start from the front and work your way back.
  15. I do like quite a few classic cars, but the DB5 (and all the DBs up to the DB7 - they all look the same anyway) has never tickled my fancy. Its just meh to me. And I do believe the second best looking car ever is the old V8 Vantage.
  16. I disagree for 2 reasons. 1) The Aston Martin V8 Vantage is the best looking car ever made. 2) They ruined that one with terrible wheels and rear lights.
  17. What? Oh awesome!
  18. Custom bodied Ford 10 of which there ae only 4 in the world. Actually, my mate owns it...
  19. Thanks! I think maybe photographing my parent's car wouldn't work too well. Its not very photogenic. Its a '99 Renault Kangoo... I'll go and talk to a mate of mine (I was round his house on Saturday) who (at the age of 17 - sat was his birthday) has 3 cars of his own: He was first given a Mini Cooper for his 13th which he refurbed and made ready for racing, he also has a mint MG Midget 1500 and has just started a project on a 1939 Ford 10 with a '60s custom body on it - of which there are only 4 in the world. He is lucky, but he does not act spoiled at all. He is actually very similar to James May :p But yeah, I should be able to get photoshoots of all of them, then maybe I could ask another friend who's dad has a DB9... I live in a fairly rich area, but I am just thinking that it is maybe too rich - it is a VERY conservative popular area too. That they won't want to let a 17 year old anywhere near their cars. I also think the opinion in Europe (especially the Netherlands) is much more relaxed, so you will get more chances than in the very lacking of community Britain. But thanks for the advice!
  20. Rules Model Car Pictures No Voting For Yourself! I voted for RB26DETT. Excellent composition and dark feel about it.
  21. I'll let you in, just because I forgot. Making the new thread now, its closed.
  22. That new Toyota. Hmm...I don't think it'll become popular. I'd be surprised if they sold more than 5 in this country, a least ones that didn't go straight into museums. Its a japanese thing, thats for sure. Not a 'youthful' thing. I think companies need to concentrate more on - and I know this sounds stupid, but - cars. Pretty informative, with an amusing 'interview'. Maybe the success of last week's 'factual' performance has changed them a bit... The news, well a good one again. Amusing comments on the Dacia '4x4 even though its not actually called a Dacia because it has a Renault badge on it, but we know that and are ignoring it for the purpose of this example of a new car' Sandaro, however again not that much actual news. The V8 blender was a hilarious interval to a section of seriousness. The Man juice: AKA The Bloody Awful!! And when are they going to do the Cool Wall again??? The SIARPC was OK, but I felt that Mark Wahlberg swore a little too much (I mean its a bit low as such...), but still an OK intervew none the less. I would've liked to see some of his offs though - shame. The Finnish driving section was certainly an interesting insight into another culture, but also it just adds to my depression. Their driving test consists of drifting, and even then you get kids (the one on the show looked what, 12?) having more fun then ever. But anyway. Nice to see James succeeding in being a fast[er] driver again. I loved Mika's intro too. Damn retired bloke! The race looked brilliant fun, and a brilliant way of doing motorsport - keeping it even by the selling/buying rule. The Avantime saw another excellent ending to a show. I've also always loved it's quirkyness, and how it seems awkward, but not weird. Their modifications certainly seemed interesting... most of them being good ideas too, except for the spoiler and splitter. Sounded pretty awesome too! The end result was still pretty good, despite failing to reach a damn ambitious target. And why didn't they note they had been ambitious but rubbish? :p Overall I think its a huge improvement on the shows where they have one huge film filling the show (even though they are brilliant). A wonderful range of ideas and pieces today. 9/10.
  23. Ah the wonders of the the censoring system. All I ask is that you resize it, and I will enter it. If you are not willing to, then you shall not be entered.
  24. Please notice your original post, then notice the post directly below it. Then notice the text quoted (quoted again above for your convenience), then notice the size of your image. Notice a problem? And nice picture GalyPoland!
  25. The thing is I don't know whether I have Viruses or not, but I consider the fact nothing to have changed to be a good sign. And I did run AVG once, and all it did was tell me Photoshop was a virus (its illegal, but only the code is...) and that it can't get rid of anything. I use Windows Task Manager and msconfig a lot - look at anything I don't recognise and then stop it. Very simple to use, doesn't cost anything, and potentially works better than some antivirus softwares.
