  1. I thought it was Vice City to start with, when the golfing part came up I thought it was the golf course from Vice City, then I saw the mountain and was like lolMt.Chiliad.
  2. Only some cats from me I'm afraid.. Kittens #1 by GTAMADDOG, on Flickr Kittens #2 by GTAMADDOG, on Flickr Kittens #3 by GTAMADDOG, on Flickr Kittens #4 by GTAMADDOG, on Flickr The last one deserves some kind of caption like the lolcat photos but I'm too tired to think up a witty one at the moment. Infact, here's a video as well. Completely forgot I uploaded it :p
  3. I thought I might've had a bit of a chance of winning but... damn..
  4. I've been doing insurance quotes recently out of curiosity and if I've filled in the forms correctly (which I'm sure I have) then if I stick with my car, insurance is under £1000 which suprised me, and I can insure myself on my dad's Fabia vRS for £1300 which also suprised me. I think it was Elephant.co.uk who quoted me £1300 on my dads car. Only problem is I don't have the money to buy the car in the first place :/ I'll probably just stick with the 306 until it dies though, I'd hate for it to be passed on to a stupid little boy racer who'll run it into the ground after a couple of months.
  5. Almost it for this month (I get paid on the 17th of each month) until I get paid again. Meguiars Paint Cleaner/Polish/Carnauba Wax by GTAMADDOG, on Flickr Meguiars Lambs Wool Wash Mitt by GTAMADDOG, on Flickr Just got my alternator belt and tensioner to somehow take off DPDs hands (they keep delivering stuff when I'm not in which is typical), but I doubt I'll post a photo of those as it's just a belt and piece of metal with a wheel on it basically :p
  6. Distant Summit by GTAMADDOG, on Flickr All of my mountain photos seem to have haze in them :(
  7. Always hate the run up to the release of a GTA game. I always have endless nights of dreaming that I've got it a couple of weeks/months early and that I'm playing it (brain randomly generates how the game plays and everything) then I wake up and have an instant sad-face because I realise it was all a dream. Yeh, I'm sad :p
  8. Bah, good job I didn't get it then. Really need to re-format before I install anything else, ha ha.
  9. Yeh, lol. Probably a bad idea. I can see it being a warm Winter now I've bought loads of warm clothing :p Edit: w00t, speed sensor. http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/IMG_0505.jpg
  10. Vice City, or San Andreas, I'm happy. Would prefer it to be set in the 80s again if it was Vice City, love the 80s music on Vice City :p
  11. Lewl. The last camera I posted is my FZ38, still love that camera because of its video capabilities though. I think I got my camera with 18-55 kit lens for £410 from London Camera Exhange, depends what sort of features you want though really. Canon EOS 500D: http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/P1020867.jpg Plus a Canon EF-S 55-250mm lens: http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/004.jpg Plus a Nifty Fifty: Nifty Fifty by GTAMADDOG, on Flickr Also have a Hoya UV filter as well which is currently attached to the 55-250mm lens. Just need a decent camera bag to carry it all around in now.
  12. A bit more chilled out, not entirely though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIzoyPfPKO4
  13. Decided I'd try out some Meguiars products on my car when it stops raining and I next get a chance to clean it, instead of using loads of different products from different brands. Don't know how much good it'll be but it was cheap so I'll give it a go: http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/IMG_0495.jpg http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/IMG_0500.jpg Also bought some clothing for a change (I absolutely hate shopping for clothes, I usually feel like curling up in a ball and dying after 10 seconds in a clothes shop). Some warm stuff ready for Winter, also got a Faux Fur Jacket, but I haven't taken a photo of that. http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/IMG_0503.jpg http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/IMG_0501.jpg I also bought some other Meguiars stuff off Amazon today including the 3 step cleaning kit and lambswool washing mitt. I think I'm starting to go overboard on the car cleaning, but I keep telling myself as long as I don't end up like my uncle I should be alright. He said to me that instead of going around shops with my auntie a few weeks ago, he parked in a roofed car park and polished and waxed his car for two hours :oook:
  14. Why can I not have these speeds at home where I actually need them :( At my mums house on her laptop, she won't understand the problem.
  15. Shows the oil level. I wouldn't trust it though, because it's French electronics. I resort to using the trusty dip-stick. As for the noise it makes, I agree somewhat, but I'm boring and I like surfing on a wave of diesel torque rather than revving the nuts off a petrol to go anywhere :p
  16. Might as well start off by apologising for bumping a 1+ year old thread. Reason being it is my thread and it was partly a project thread, but I'm so useless at getting things done it's taken me all this time to get my rear end in gear. Friday, I was sat at work bored out of my mind like I usually am at work these days, thinking about things that need doing on the car and I thought "I keep going on about getting new tyres, but I've got a spare set of wheels and tyres in the garage, so I could probably do something with those". So I decided that when I got home I'd have a look at the spare set and see what I could do with them. Turned out one had a decent tyre (tread wise, brand wise not so much, but it's a GT Radial, so not exactly a ditch-finder), but the wheel was a bit scabby. Now I've always wanted to have a go at refurbishing a wheel or two so I thought I'd start on this one and if it turns out well enough I'd swap the refurbished wheel with one of the more worn out tyres/wheels on the car already. So luckily my dad still had some wet/dry sand paper left over from his good old days of restoring a Mini 1275 GT which he sadly never got the time to finish and sold on. Got what I needed out of that, cleaned the wheel I wanted to work on, and went about making a hash of things as I always do. There's a picture or two of the wheel in question in my post (#23) on this page with the new wheels, it's the last couple of photographs. Almost looks like it's rusted or been worked down to bare metal or something. Here's some pictures, already filled in the worst part seen in the last picture. I don't think I'm anywhere near done with the sanding down and I haven't got any primer, alloy wheel paint or laquer yet so this could take a while :p http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/IMG_0051.jpg http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/IMG_0053.jpg http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/IMG_0054.jpg http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/IMG_0056.jpg I think someone had a go at filling in some parts of the wheel before, I thought it was just bubbling paint but it looks like there was filler under the paint which someone hadn't bothered to flatten back. I'll probably take a lot of it back to bare metal because a lot of it is crap. The pictures seem to make it look worse than it does in real life, probably my phone camera. Bare in mind this is the first time I've ever done this and it's no-where near ready for any primer, but I'm hoping it'll turn out alright. Just need to make sure I buy the right colour alloy wheel paint otherwise things could look stupid once the wheel is on the car :p List of other crap to do: Source Half Leather Seats. Front bumper needs to be re-aligned. A patch on it just to the side of the number plate also needs another coat of paint after my dad had a go at doing it, turned out he got a slightly different colour. Doors I bought last year need to be put on after I get new electric window regulators for them. Dent in the passenger side rear quarter panel doesn't look to be repairable but I'll probably just sort out the massive scratch. The auxillary belt and tensioner need replacing. The belt looks pretty worn out and the tensioner is seized up. The rear bumper doesn't line up correctly with either rear quarter panel, needs a couple of clips I think. A couple of the wheel arch liners need adjusting. Passenger side mirror cap has a crack in it and needs replacing. Plastic strip under the drivers side headlight needs replacing as it has a broken clip. Might also find out what's stopping my air conditioning from working but if it's the condenser I'm not bothering with it. Exhaust needs sorting out, possibly twisted at a join somewhere as it rattles against the rear bumper. Door rubstrips down the side need some new clips. Each one is only held on by a few and there are gaps between the door and the strips in some places Can't see a lot of it being done any time soon but I can always look back to this list and see what I think needs doing.
  17. Boring ones from inside again. I need to find time to get out and about, especially as I can drive now. Obligatory Random Shot of the Cat by GTAMADDOG, on Flickr Kill It With Fire by GTAMADDOG, on Flickr
  18. More car related things. Got a problem with my speedometer now. Once on every journey it'll decide at a random point to stop working for a while. I know when it's about to happen and it'll feel like the car has had a hiccup in power and then it'll feel like I've only got half the power there, a second after the hiccup the speedometer needle will drop to 0 and stay there for 30 seconds to a few minutes depending on how it feels. During this time it still feels like I've only got half the power that I should have and the gears don't change smoothly either. Then another hiccup will come and then the speedometer needle will shoot back up to whatever speed I'm doing and all of the power is there again. To be honest if things such as police patrols and speed cameras didn't exist then I wouldn't be too bothered but the police seem to be out in force these days and there's several speed cameras on my way home as well so I'd prefer to have a speedometer that works as it should all the time. Turns out I need a speed sensor which goes into the gear box which is apparently a pain in the rear to fit, and it costs £20. Great timing as I need to pay Tax for the thing at the end of the month, and I need new tyres.
  19. Looks good, I've been following it vaguely, haven't bought into it yet though, but some of the YouTube videos look great. Something to keep an eye on.
  20. Sorry, it's Metal: Love this album, but hate every time I listen to it because it reminds me of college and college was hands-down the best time of my life. I miss those days..
  21. For all they knew, it could've been a random strange cloud following the road up the hill. Taken from Pistonheads.
  22. Saw a 306 Dturbo identical to mine which is the first one I've seen in aaaages. Tried to catch up with it but I kept getting stuck behind other people pulling out infront of me like idiots, then I had to go in another direction. One day mine will meet one of her identical 'beings'.
  23. Home from work already. So much more relaxing coming home when there's no rush hour traffic to contend with. Only downside is that I have to leave the house an hour before I'd usually get out of bed, but I wake up at the same time, just don't get to lounge around in bed for a couple of hours watching Helicopter Heroes and One Tree Hill. Luls.
  24. Now this was a cold day, I remember getting back and not being able to feel my feet for hours even after putting my feet in a bowl of hot water, even though I was wearing water-proof hiking boots and three pairs of socks the whole day: The rally where it was that snowy and icey even the safety car came off the track. Good day out though :p
