  1. SP038 for first or last name I hope not ;) but I'm sure his nick is SP038 http://forum.turboduck.net/member.php?u=2598
  2. Author is not known, must be a model from a 3D-Pack (DOSCH for example), or from a '3D Auto Club-like' site Yet, convert and debug to TDU thanks to SP038 Great :)
  3. But WTF !? It's all except modding... this thread is completely offtopic.
  4. Hi, just replace your Bnk1.map (Test Drive Unlimited\euro\bnk) by the one available in the first post (according to your TDU version). I hope it makes sense ;) --- There are some news :) I'm currently working on the Tools 1.7 beta, version which will be available about the 9th of February. In the future, I'm planning to remove this beta step as there are much more people giving feedback on a final release - thus I wouldn't bother me to make versions for nothing. Anyway, here are contents of this 1.7: Tons of bugs fixed (...just joking) Lots of code re-written or cleaned. Should be more efficient. Replace method with bnk size modification is now a default (thx MagicMap ^^). Old method is still available, of course. First use: TDU install folder is detected automatically (looking into Windows registry) Script engine: allowing everyone to execute instructions (to save you from repetitive and boring tasks) Script editor: new module, Patch Editor, to write and tests scripts TDU Mod And Play executable: new app to execute your scripts on other PCs (useful to install mods for a noobie :) ) Linkage: Jeff Harris' BNK Editor does not appear on main window anymore Experimental feature 1: DDS>2DB conversion without need of specifying original 2DB file (allow saving DDS with another compression method) Experimental feature 2: a new module to customize brand and model names (yet, this feature is not guaranteed because of some TDU limitations). As always, comments and ideas are welcome :p
  5. Remaining color info might be in the 3d model. You'd need to import rims into ZModeler2 and look at the materials...
  6. Very latest versions of ZModeler 2 need the Visual C++ 2005 redistributable: http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/182347/Misc/vcredist_x86.exe
  7. To make a car deluxe-paintable, you have to swap it with a model which already allows it. Else you can swap color code with another one using Car Colors Editor or reading misc tutorials about this subject.
  8. - Numbers are not guaranteed as I've said in the tuto. I don't have TDU here so I can't test and find out what entries to rename. On the other hand, nothing prevents you to test changes on other lines and other files (TDU_CarPhysicsData for example - there are also brand names). Thanks for having tested anyway ;) I'll update the tuto asap. - To download official version, there's now about 6000 file downloads from the beginning. So don't bother with reading french... just click on button at the bottom. To solve any misunderstandings, I've just written in red how to download file. I didn't think it would be necessary, though
  9. A few facts: - it's better to always use latest final version to have bugs fixed and new features. Latest final is 1.6.1. - 1.5 does not show which file(s) were changed. 1.6 makes them blue. - the message you get when closing File Browser is just a warning. If you did apply before, you can ignore that.
  10. No, I don't use MSN to provide Modding Tools support. Sorry. Anyway, if Apply thing would work, you should see a message in the File Browser bottom part saying '1 edit change applied'. Is it there ?
  11. It seems you did not follow the tutorial completely. When you have pending edits, you have to apply corresponding task to update BNK with modified database.
  12. You need to swap the ariel atom with a stock supercharged car to have this sound enabled ... e.g. Skyline
  13. Ahem... I want to be kind, but if you don't say anything constructive and just complain I won't be able to help you :)
  14. You shall place the modding Tools anywhere as long as you can fully access to the folder. :) If you're talking about "TDU main folder not set properly", that's because you have not set the tools up. Go to File>Settings menu then in TDU root locate where TDU is installed (typically C:\Program Files\Test Drive Unlimited)
  15. In fact, there is already a 360CS sound mod based on GTR2 sound files. It's really great. Author: X2-TheV http://rapidshare.com/files/110156718/Ferrari_Challenge_Stradale_1.0.rar.html
  16. I'm currently using RUF RT12 sound for eruanno's TT. Very good.
  17. It's written in official thread : http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=3739 in red ;)
  18. Yeah ! We have now a perfect F430 sound ! Thanks Saladine ;)
  19. No problem, I like this game and creating apps (that's my job too). So all is fine ;)
  20. Many NFS Undercover cars have been ported to ZModeler 2. So the Megane III could be done without "redrawing" it :) Concerning the Megane II, there was a project @ tdu.fr months ago, but original modelers gave up with providing this car to TDU.
  21. I meant you have to start from a clean copy of the BNK file as it seems to be corrupted by previous replace attempts. Concerning game crashing, it's not related to file sizes as you said to use a magic map. I guess it's because of corrupted texture files.
  22. By using BNK editor afterwhile, yes you should always check the box. Things will slightly change for next version, we'll talk about it in time.
