  4. What ? I don't understand. Which steps are you following (tutorial) ? Your TDU seems to be installed in C:\Program Files\Atari\Test Drive Unlimited, so just select this location in the dialog box at picture 1.

  7. Just click on 'Télécharger ce fichier' button at the bottom (= Download file) then click on 'Lien 1' (= Link 1) link in the popup window which will appear ;)
  8. Some data may be other than language contents you're right, but contents are not self explanatory... what does a CarPack mean for example ? Looks like many pieces are just unfinished things... like the "Pink Whale's Car Wash" :)
  9. lol, hacking does not come from a toolbox, it's experience and motivation. Sadly there were more energy involved in TDU cracking/cheating than to enhance this awesome game. As usual. All I could discover about 2DB, MAP and so on, are the result of long hours looking at files with a hex editor :eek:
  10. No news about db so far. Only hackers could open these files; I'm not a hacker :) Editable files in DB_xx.BNK archives are just translated contents for different cultures. Modding possibilities are limited indeed :oook:

Okay. 1. please get latest version of Modding Tools, 1.6 2. when you save this DDS after changes, please use following settings : + DXT1 (as it's the texture native format) Tip (waiting for a better method) : to know which texture format to save to, just open original DDS in notepad and search (CTRL+F) for this word : DXT. + Generate mipmaps I'm using paint.net with DDS plugin and it finally worked after that :)

  17. Do not edit the Gall_SE entry, as it is not necessary to update model name. It might make TDU to crash... Just replace the SE word by LP-560 (you'll notice Gallardo word is shared by all Gallardo models) Concerning lengths, if you use a magic map, you can replace by the word the way you want, no matter how the size is. :)
  18. Great project ! Is it based on Ferrari sound ? It it's the case it would be good to slightly pitch the sound up, to make it sound more like a 4-cylinder. Moreover the acceleration would sound more linear :) Thanks for your modding effort. Besides this, in my opinion NFS sounds are very realistic for this car (in particular with Most Wanted).

  20. I've never tried, so I can't guarantee it will work. Anyway, unless the Database files are 100% decoded, it's not possible to use new car slots. Now, simply adding a brand new BNK file won't make the car to appear.

  22. Hi, it's impossible to create BNK files at the moment. Everyone just modifies existing BNKs. In fact, btrq files have some effect, but nobody could prove what they're doing exactly. If you wanna keep a btrq, just extract it from a clean BNK file then replace the one in the modded archive. BNK Editor: It's grayed because you didn't copy BNKFileEditor.exe into TDU Modding Tools' plugins folder. Anyways, File Browser is more and more powerful thus BNK Editor button will disappear soon.   23. :eek: it seems to be the same bug as prior the 1.66 patch. The stats are weird numbers, your driver has no hair with yellow glasses. Well known problem ! Discovered roads should be blue-dotted.
