  1. If you are talking about the terrain (heightmap) it only use 3 layers for each sector: -*-c.2db (colormap ?) : to put it simple, this is what you'll see on the geometry of your terrain -*-s.2db (specular) : shadow thingy if you prefer :p -*-a.2db (no idea what '-a' means but : blend/grass) : sets the area where grass should be added, and the blending with (what seems to be) the common world grass texture World Objects seems to use 3 lod (the entities like lighthouse at least) and a specific coordinate system. Objects like Road or Coast always use a same and unique lod (picture related).
  2. @BulgarianLion: it should work this way. :) Offline to Online Profile is impossible afaik. @Dux: it does increase the traffic bnk size as well. :D
  3. I'm looking for (a) good UV mapper(s) who could make a generic UV map for every heightmap (so that it could be applied to each imported heightmap since those don't have UV data). :) PM me if you are interested. Got that working now. :) I had a quick look at TDU2 files: as expected the format is different (Objects and heightmap are in a same file now and the heightmap seems to has 3D now).
  4. ^ 5 posts above you should help you if you haven't already applied those instructions
  5. Just by curiosity: did you get any issue with the ability of buying added vehicle at a car dealer?
  6. TDU 1 uses Twilight 1 whereas TDU2 use... Twilight 2. :cheeky: To be honest, I didn't examine TDU2's file but I'm pretty sure it's different (at least the car models used a different structure, so it's probably the same scenario for every 3D assets). TDUF is gonna be really helpful to allow new sectors to be added to the game (and even new islands).
  7. Next update still need a little bit of work, but it'll worth it don't worry about that. :D
  8. Introduction After editing by hand some sectors for the next update of Project Paradise, I thought it could be nice to create a proper map editor for TDU. After all, that's the only part of the game which has never been modded before. :) (and yes, next pp update should come soon, so less pm spam everyone thanks ) Description Even if it's called "Editor", this tool is a toolbox to export your files in your favorite 3D editor (maya, 3DS max, blender,... any editor as long as it's compatible with .obj) and obviously do the opposite. :p This choice as been made simply because I didn't want to make the usage of a cheap and badly written 3D editor an obligation. :D .obj has a pretty basic structure making easy to build an object from nothing. 9. Cops were disabled in online free ride, even in the original game. Invisible cop car sounds like some issues with the traffic patch (in the 1.68). You could use the Vsync option if you get weird AI behavior (it can sometimes help). :)
  10. If at some point your savegame got corrupted (before the 1.66A it was quite usual to see that; and one way to get the ace level :D) it can mess with the mileage system (on which the mod is relying). An easy way to see if that's the case: your mileage should be stuck (and maybe even set to 0.0). We tried to find a way to fix that but that's quite complicated.
  11. Don't forget to enable the wheel in the parameters (last tab of the controller page) and also assign the left and right actions in the key mapping part (first tab).
  12. I think I never asked you that, but do your leds (on the wheel) work? None ever reported the fix to be broken (only once but it was a wheel detection issue) so far. :D
  13. For a game with a DLC scheduling already done, I really doubt they'd forget to add some security to be sure no hacking is done client-side. The Crew is still a recent game, so there is no need to flood the forums with mods already, unless you want to kill the game prematurely.
  14. If you both have your port opened, there may be something wrong between you and your friend. Routing issues could easily happen with P2P. The ip won't be helpful to you anyway, the server can't be pinged. :D
  15. It seems it come from OVH once again, so we can't do much for now. Just wait. :| EDIT: it should be back online now.
  16. @ Karacho: Multiplayer Races are disabled for now (until they get back online if that's possible :p). But the instant challenge limit will be removed when the next update will be online. :D
  17. The Crew: Rampage... But I do agree with the customization being this poor (contrary to what we were supposed to get) and the clutch (I don't even use it cause it's really too frustrating to play with). Prices seems quite high but you gain money really fast so that's not really a problem here (I got 150.000 Bucks in 2 hours of game and I only got to St Louis in the story).
  18. Only entity creation/edition, editing the road or the terrain is out of my reach atm. :)
  19. Uninstall Nvidia Experience (or Geforce Experience?) if you have it installed. :)
