  1. Just downloaded the game off Steam and started it up, I noticed that it was lagging ..........

I run a system I built about 3 years ago that runs all the games I use without any problems. TDU2 ran good for me until the DLC2 update and now it's unbearable with low FPS and nothing but stutter. It's been addressed to Atari by many people, but they've chosen not to respond. Just give it up and try something different. Sorry.

  2. Thanks, buddy! I really appreciate it! That now makes you and my dog that thinks I'm special. :)

I think I archived it from the old archive forums before they closed it (I kind of doubt that they will still have that archive available when/if the Atari forums comes back online).

I'll see if I can pull it back together for posting. It possibly could be useful if anyone ever manages to get multiplayer working again.

  3. Dude, you've been living under the rock, haven't you?

Actually, no, but I've done a few tours of duty on the Rock, better know as Okinawa, Japan, during my career in the United States Marine Corps. But thanks for asking, friend. :)

Have probably already got rid of the server by now anyway to make room for a new one. That said this is Atari.

Yes, I'm sure we all understand that the hosting contract with Gamespy was allowed to expire. Whether Gamespy has wiped the server space already or not is a moot point.

In my view, the intent of the petition is to try to make someone at Atari realize that there are numerous players out there who didn't want to see the server go away. There is nothing wrong with holding on to hope that Atari may at some point in the future give the community the capability to host it's own server(s).

    peace :)

  4. Anybody can make a short video tutorial (or in pictures) about this? Im so stupid in hex editor modding and my english also not perfect. :)

    Watch this video: http://s49.beta.photobucket.com/user/trilegdog/media/TDU/TDUProfileFix_zpsed54886c.mp4.html

You can also download the video from here: http://www.gamefront.com/files/22438231/TDUProfileFix.zip

Keep in mind that this video was created to explain how to change an off-line profile to an on-line profile, so the video is working with the first 50 positions, where you'll be working with the 51st through the ending positions, but the concept, and using Hex Workshop is the same. I'm sure that DJ would create a video or a "how to" guide with pictures if he had the time, but it is quite a time consuming task to create such things.

    Hope this helps.

  5. I did it for about 10 times.

I might be missing something though...(edited for brevity)......not sure where I'm going wrong

ok tried as I mentioned above the map thing , It worked ! yay

Good to hear that you figured it out. Congrats!

No doubt there will others looking for help, so tell us what it was you did wrong, please.

Clarification for all those that use djtinnio's procedure description in the first post:

The group of data that you copy from one profile to another, will be only the 51st position through the end.

  6. Goodbye TDU (the real one - not the crappy follow-on). This was taken on the 17th Sep 2012 on one of my last cruises with friends

    Remember the waterfalls

    The SHEBI says goodbye :sulk:

Nice to see that pic, thanks! That was me in the MC12, and JZJAMM in the S-7.

The next pic was about the same time, with "the1960", "JZJAMM", "cheapshades", and "shebi01" (from left to right).

The following three pics pretty much sum up the beginning and the end of Test Drive Unlimited:

  7. Ok, do that. Must say second day after not seeing those numbers feels pretty good. I am good at maths but i don't like numbers. Thanks by the way for telling me that there is a way to convert my online profile into an offlineprofile. ................ Worked all good. I was so happy to not have lost all the 56 cars, especially my 46 000 km f430 and my character. So thanks again. Nice deeeeeey , hehe. Tinnio

Glad to hear it worked for you. Not bad for pulling that old info out of my head (not an easy task these days) :) I haven't done it yet, but will soon. If it wasn't for the mileage, I wouldn't bother. Have a great day. cya later.

  8. Hi DJ! I miss seeing you online in TDU!

I noticed that the rar filename for your download changed, but once extracted, the files still have the 10 Sept datestamp. My previous download was on 12 Sept. Is the current download an update? Sorry for my confusion. Thanks for all your hard work, buddy.
