1. Thanks for the quick response! Yea, was just sitting here drafting my install plan and thought that maybe there might be less chance of a driver issue for the G-25 pedals (wheel still busted) and MS joystick with Win 7. So, Win 7 it is. :)
2. Hi, all! I'm finally building a new PC system and hope to get TDU running again. It'll be a dual-boot Win7 & Win10. Any input on either one being best to use?
3. Hey! Thanks for working on Project Paradise! I'll try it out when I can accomplish a major overhaul on this PC (see system specs below). I did pass the word to another old cruise mate about this. peace
4. Update: Petition closed (not sure why) with 948 signatures. I sent a message to the person who started the petition asking why it was closed. Will update if I get a response.
5. I run a system I built about 3 years ago that runs all the games I use without any problems. TDU2 ran good for me until the DLC2 update and now it's unbearable with low FPS and nothing but stutter. It's been addressed to Atari by many people, but they've chosen not to respond. Just give it up and try something different. Sorry.
6. Congratulations on the new site! Looks great!
7. Thanks, buddy! I really appreciate it! That now makes you and my dog that thinks I'm special. :) I think I archived it from the old archive forums before they closed it (I kind of doubt that they will still have that archive available when/if the Atari forums comes back online). I'll see if I can pull it back together for posting. It possibly could be useful if anyone ever manages to get multiplayer working again.
8. He probably just needed a good night's rest before he tried it. I know I can get a little sloppy if I try something like that after a long day. :) I just noticed the modder badge. Pretty sweet! I'll have to see which mod he worked on. I should have some kind of special badge, since I'm the only person to get a TDU mod directly approved by Atari. The Ace Project.
9. I just knew that I should have used "BOLD" and "UNDERLINED" text on that part. But hey, it was bound to happen. Kind of like that old saying "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink". :)
10. Actually, no, but I've done a few tours of duty on the Rock, better know as Okinawa, Japan, during my career in the United States Marine Corps. But thanks for asking, friend. :) ---------- Post added at 20:28 PM ---------- Previous post was at 20:18 PM ---------- Yes, I'm sure we all understand that the hosting contract with Gamespy was allowed to expire. Whether Gamespy has wiped the server space already or not is a moot point. In my view, the intent of the petition is to try to make someone at Atari realize that there are numerous players out there who didn't want to see the server go away. There is nothing wrong with holding on to hope that Atari may at some point in the future give the community the capability to host it's own server(s). peace :)
11. 886 support signatues so far ------------- update: make that 887
12. Watch this video: http://s49.beta.photobucket.com/user/trilegdog/media/TDU/TDUProfileFix_zpsed54886c.mp4.html You can also download the video from here: http://www.gamefront.com/files/22438231/TDUProfileFix.zip Keep in mind that this video was created to explain how to change an off-line profile to an on-line profile, so the video is working with the first 50 positions, where you'll be working with the 51st through the ending positions, but the concept, and using Hex Workshop is the same. I'm sure that DJ would create a video or a "how to" guide with pictures if he had the time, but it is quite a time consuming task to create such things. Hope this helps.
13. Good to hear that you figured it out. Congrats! No doubt there will others looking for help, so tell us what it was you did wrong, please. ----------------------------------------- Clarification for all those that use djtinnio's procedure description in the first post: The group of data that you copy from one profile to another, will be only the 51st position through the end.
14. It's easy to make a mistake with this sort of stuff. Just reload your backup and give it another try.
15. Nice to see that pic, thanks! That was me in the MC12, and JZJAMM in the S-7. The next pic was about the same time, with "the1960", "JZJAMM", "cheapshades", and "shebi01" (from left to right). The following three pics pretty much sum up the beginning and the end of Test Drive Unlimited: Of course, all those years of fun in between......... 16. Nice pic collection, Djey! Hi Mr. Shebi!
17. Good Morning All! Good job DJ! :) For those who have hope that we someday will be able to meet online in free-roam again, please be sure to make a copy of your original online profiles prior to converting to them to offline. One just never knows what the future may hold. peace
18. Glad to hear it worked for you. Not bad for pulling that old info out of my head (not an easy task these days) :) I haven't done it yet, but will soon. If it wasn't for the mileage, I wouldn't bother. Have a great day. cya later.
19. Hi DJ! I miss seeing you online in TDU! I noticed that the rar filename for your download changed, but once extracted, the files still have the 10 Sept datestamp. My previous download was on 12 Sept. Is the current download an update? Sorry for my confusion. Thanks for all your hard work, buddy.
20. Sad to say that Atari, in it's usual level of efficiency, took the server down on the morning of the 28th instead of the 29th.
21. The last one is the original files with top. It seems a slim chance that someone who downloaded it still has it and could send it back to you. But I'll try to adjust to the shadow error. Thanks for your efforts, bro
