Greetings all, I've been inactive in the TDU communities for many years - but my love for the game has never faded. I occasionally pop in the disk to my PC and cruise around, albeit without online mode it doesn't have the some luster as it did. Granted I see that there are mods out there that have brought back online mode! Without getting to sentimental, let's go to the primary purpose of this thread: My current gaming machine is finally showing it's age, as such I'll be putting together a new rig and undoubtedly will be reinstalling TDU. My concern is I recall back in the days the TDU Megapack keys were limited to the number of uses, I still have my key saved in a .txt file should I need it, but I believe it was all server verified. Forward to today when the official servers and such are down, how would verification of the Megapack key work - and should the key no longer be valid is there a workaround?

You can move your seat up, down, forward, and backward; but that is all that I know of.
-
Exactly what I was thinking... What is the point of riding the clutch - just use the gas. Do this in IRL and your pockets will hurt. ;)
-
Thanks bro! And I did back it up, but when I restarted my computer I kept all my modded files and forgot the original ones. xD
-
I had made these a while back (07/08/08 to be exact), but I never posted them on these boards. I had gotten tired of those ugly green gauges in the RT12, so I modded them. -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- File can be found here: http://hosted.filefront.com/djblackmon/

Can somebody please post the original GTO_Cpe.bnk file? Or more specifically can somebody post up the glass.2db and glass_g.2db files? Thanks in advanced!
-
Haha so have I.... Must *twitch* have *twitch* LS2 GTO! *twitch*
-
Okay so dig racing. Uhm I'm going on vacation tomorrow, dunno when I'll be back - but I'll try to take part.
-
I know it isn't modeled right, I own one. -.- But I don't really mind - yes I would love to have the correctly modeled one; but I don't want to give basbas too much work.
-
Sweeeet! Now just get that hood and bumper off that GTO and put it on the one in TDU. Then I'll be happy! ;)
-
Yep, no problem man! One question, what is the file you are modifying to make this?
-
Are you talking to me? I don't know what that means - I had just downloaded these files to try and convert them for another game... And skyline rims... info??
-
Hey basbas, can you tell me about those rims on the Skyline? I really want them on mine - that CF hood too. Oh and here are the files: 2006 Evo MR: http://files.filefront.com/NFSC+MITSUBISHI+LANCER+MRNrar/;11454814;/fileinfo.html 2005 GTO: http://files.filefront.com/NFSMW+PONTIAC+GTO+57+LIT0rar/;11454824;/fileinfo.html

Yeah I would like to know that too. I already have the model from a 2005 GTO out of Need For Speed: Most Wanted. With textures and everything! I also have a 2006 Evolution IX MR from Need For Speed: Carbon with full textures. Also they both have interiors and everything. EDIT: Hey guys, I have a question: which wheels are those on the Z and Skyline? They look like the gramlight 57c, but TDU only has the 57s... They might be the NISMO Z wheels, but I can't use the TDU Toolkit to put them on the skyline. Also how did he get the carbon fiber hood? I would love to have that on the dual exhausts spoilerless Skyline.

Don't make it a H3... it's too small. Make it the H2 - same shape and everything. Just bigger and a lot manlier. *cough*LS2 GTO*cough*
-
It's called a SSR. Could easily be replaced with a Holden Ute.
-
Depends on what kind of racing? I am into roll racing and dig racing - using a 3 honk to start.
-
In real life you don't even need to touch the gas to get the car going. Just let off the clutch - and off you go. I can even change gears without using the clutch or grinding gears - it just that you need to know how to do it.
-
I will help you with making/modding textures if you in-return make the LS2 GTO.
-
Which Commodore are you talking about? The VZ commodore (pretty much 4 door Monaro) or the VE Commodore? And I like the VXR 500, VERY nice... But I don't really like the rear bumper and spoiler much on it... :S
-
There is an interior file - I personally didn't investigate it much... But I am pretty sure that you can change the textures around and see the outcome.
-
Did you try to delete the radial.cdb file? And also the buddycache file? You could use the registry fixer on the TDU toolkit, or just delete this folder: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Test Drive Unlimited Just make sure you have your CD key and megapack serial backed up somewhere because you will have to reenter them.
-
I like the front on the Holden Monaro, but I don't like the rear fascia with the space for the tow hook. I prefer the GTO lettering on the insert. Also I don't like the rear end on the Monaro as much, mainly the rear insert with just a square for a tow hook - the GTO lettering looks much better.
-
This looks very promising, I like the idea a lot. Can't wait for a release of the GTO.
-
I am still hoping for a LS2 GTO - I mean all you have to do is change a hood and rear bumper on the current LS1 GTO! BTW, I LOOOOOVE the R8 - great work! Will be waiting for the update.
