  1. I completely respect, and appreciate your opinion. It's a good point. Basically I got them because my friend got a set of really nice gas powered ones for his car, and they look really nice. So I decided to get a set, and liked them for a long time. But I'm over them. Some people like them, some don't. I like the reliability of the stock lights with HIDS over these. Yeah everything pretty much does nowadays . Car people are an extremely opinionated group of people. Some people hate the mud tires I have on it. Some love them. We like what we like, and hate what we don't, and were not afraid to tell you about it too. I hate low-rider impalas with hydraulics , some people hate lifted trucks. But if it makes you happy why should I care.
  2. Yeah there basically black version of the stock ones. Plus I'm getting really nice xenons HIDs so they'll look nice. Then ill probably get some black led taillights. It'll turn of nice.
  3. Yeah Im kinda over them also, there pretty ricy. Im going to switch to some back to some stock ones or ones like these. Or something like it with nice Clear blue blubs or something like that.
  4. Had a little photo shoot with the truck tonight. Some edited and some un-edited. 016 by Jacob.Hamilton, on Flickr 014-2 by Jacob.Hamilton, on Flickr 018 by Jacob.Hamilton, on Flickr 017-2 by Jacob.Hamilton, on Flickr I never could edit very well lol.
  5. Finally got a cold air intake for my truck. Was a pain in the ass to install because of my throttle body spacer. But its on there. Figured I should put it on there before I do my engine so I can just take it off and put it back on easily. 14. Finally got a set decent of tires for the truck. There 285/75/R16. Basically a 33" tire. There Goodyear MTR's W/Kevlar protected sidewalls. YAYYYYYY!!! When they first got in and I was jumping with excitement. 027 by Jacob.Hamilton, on Flickr When I first ran her out. They were a lot easier to mount then I thought. and Balancing didn't go to badly either. 029 by Jacob.Hamilton, on Flickr Side profile 030 by Jacob.Hamilton, on Flickr Close up 031 by Jacob.Hamilton, on Flickr
  15. Ordered a set of 33" Goodyear MTR's for the truck. There not coming in till tomorrow or Tuesday so ill get real photos then. Got them dirt cheap because of my discount at the dealership. Gonna be super irritating to balance, but ill get it done.
  16. I'm definitely not doing an Ls swap, or a newer engine because I don't want to have to deal with all the electronics, and sensors, and EVERYBODY has one. I want an engine that's atleast in the 400 cubic inch range. I was thinking either a 454 or a 440 then build it with heads, cam, new pistons, lifters blah blah blah. And put a beefier trans in it. I was thinking the army green and have it slammed would look awesome. But I haven't decided on anything. It'll all come in time. Susgestions are always welcome.
  17. After years, and years of searching. I finally found a project. It's a 68' GMC 1/2 ton pick up with a 250 inline 6, 3 speed manual with a collum shift instead of a floor shifter. its got the usual rust like cab corners, a bad rocker and a dented rear quater panel. Nothing to difficult to fix. Amazingly it still runs and drives after sitting in a field. My co-worker had it lying around the farm, I drove by one day saw it and ran in. I got it for $150 because he just wanted it gone. Photos arent the greatest because I was in a hurry. But I should be getting in the next few weeks after the snow melts. Plans for it are to convert to disc brakes, lower/beef up suspension, Paint im thinking a satin army green/olive color with no chrome. New wheels (been drooling over a set of 20" slat flats). put in a V8. Im thinking a mopar. Like a 440 because I think there cool, and it'll piss off chevy guys, convert to a floor shift maybe a 4 speed, and maybe add powersteering. With air tools. Its extremely important to use the proper impact sockets. You can't just use regular chrome sockets. But once you have the correct sockets theres really nothing to worry about. I use compression tools everyday and have never had anything shatter or break. Sorry if it sounds like im always trying to shove advice down your throat. Just trying to be helpful.

You need to buy yourself some rust penetrate really helps with corroded parts. It has saved me many a skinned knuckle, and my tools from flying across the room. Glad to see the little Mini's coming to life
