How to change cars names?

So you should only rename Murciélago model to Murciélago LP-640, to prevent sub-model from damages.

 

Please note your Murciélago Roaster will be a LP-640 too.

All i did was open v1.7 and clicked on Modding Tools.exe Then i clicked Custom Names under wizards. Find the car you want to change name (locate the car+brand) and add it. Then click on Change. You will get a drop down arrow that has Brand, Model and sub model in which you can change those names. It takes less time and is quite simple. Already did this to like 20 cars. Then after those steps it should say the current name of the car and BAM. Start TDU and your car name should be changed.

Help with Edonis

 

hi

 

hate to be a pain but i have a problem, whenever i edit the model name of the edonis the car just ceases to exist ingame

 

any ideas?

Edit: fix available, though I can't guarantee it works.

if that's not the case I will temporarly remove Edonis support .

Sorry Djey, ur edonis fix didn't work (at least not for me)

 

strangly enough, as soon as you change model name back to "Edonis" the car is back again

Bad news ... could use these 2 files one by one, and tell me which one works ?

Before using each one, ensure model is back in-game.

 

If none of these 2 does work, I'm afraid there won't be any solution for Edonis :(

first one half worked, it didn't cease to exist when i changed the model name however the name didn't actually change in-game

 

second one didn't work at all lol

Please don't use manual method or Car Names Editor anymore, as there's an even more powerful feature in Modding Tools (since 1.10) : Datasheet

 

You've just to load Vehicle Manager (center button) then modify vehicle brand, model or version, in Datasheet tab.

 

If you need more names to use:

- either make a request into 1.67 Name request thread:

- and/or add names you want in DB Resource Editor-CarPhysicsData then you'll see it appear in Vehicle Manager :)
