Hello, This a tutorial on how to fix the floating rim bug, it usually occurs when you body-swap a mod into a car with bigger rims than the car its supposed to replace. This what it looks like:

Now I have found a way to fix it, its very simple. All you need is TDU-PE 2.0 and whatever else you need to get it working.

The Chevrolet Camaro SS mod will be used as an example.

This is what normally the mod will look like, without body-swapping it or anything.

This is what the mod would look like if you body-swapped the mod to a car with bigger rims than the replacement. (Example: Putting a car that replaces the Mustang GT on a Chrysler 300C)

To get rid of that, all you have to do is.

1) Open TDU-PE 2.0

2) Find the car which you body-swapped the mod into.

3) Go to the Miscellaneous tab.

4) At the bottom right corner, you will find something called "Default Rims" there you will see the name of the car you body-swapped the mod into.

5) Change it to what the mod is supposed to replace.(In this case, Pontiac GTO)

6) Click on the "Save Car" button. It is located at the top.

7) At the bottom right corner, you will find a button called "Save All Changes" click it.

After doing all these steps, the floating rim bug should be fixed, and this is how the car would like.

Hope This Helps.

Enjoy! :)

[PS: Sorry if the steps aren't very clear or something, I'm not really good at explaining things. :o]

So the Default Rim option does not decide what (3d) model for default rim should be used, but the size of the rims ?

Interesting finding this one!

Yes apparently so. I tried separating the rims from S281 models then suddenly I've seen the rims stick out slightly, then the rims were in place. It was pretty weird but this is pretty useful and I hope it won't be dropped in the next TDUPE version.
