Hacked :(

Ok guys, im gonna be honest.

The otherday - I was on tdu (its a legal version) And wanted to try the megapack before I bought it.

So I did, but after an hour or so I got bored of not being able to go online.

 

I deleted the hack - my dave, and tdu.

Made a fresh install -

However, now the tdu servers are unavailible, and I cant get online :(

- Is this due to me having a hack?

Thats what you get for hacking, but i'll help. Did u install the game correctly, and did u download and install the 1.66a patch? if not it's on the forum, but u have to find it urself..

Your CD key has probably been blacklisted, meaning that you can't go online with that CD key again.

I dont even type my CD key in though..

The first time you installed the game you will have done. The CD key file doesn't get deleted when the game is uninstalled iirc.

I doubt that Atari would comply if I sent them a message.

Any suggestions? - I was just getting into the whole tdu thing too :/

I was on the edge of making a texture pack with pictures of my eg civic.

I'm not entirely sure but I think the only way to get it online again is to remove all traces of the game and then reinstall with a new paid for copy of the game with a new CD key.

 

It'd be a bad idea to email Atari about it too saying you illegaly installed the megapack...

If you're talking about the CDKey files they are in

C/Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/Test Drive Unlimited if you're on XP and

C/ProgramData/Test Drive Unlimited if you're on Vista. Not sure about 7 but it should be one of those.

download CCleaner and delete everything with that, the registry will be cleaned out too, so you should be able to reinstall your game, with your own key and play online. (unless it has been blacklisted)

I Now have a legal version of the game :p

Now the problem, I can't connect to Test Drive server.. Why? :ill:

I have used CCleaner and removed little stuff, re-installed the game.. I have also looked in the reg if ther still was something there, but nothing.

And it's allowed in the av/firewall.

I have the 1.66 patch.

 

So how should i do to be able to reg the new, and legal, key?:confused:
