EDIT: Nevermind that, gonna go with a proper poster print instead.

 

New question though: What resolution should I take a photo at to be printed at 18x24 inches? I'm getting some mixed opinions from Google/Photoshop image size screen.

 

Also, I guess this should be moved to photography section

Well, if you wanna print that size, you should go with at least 200 dpi. Any offset poster printing company usually print on 300 dpi, but 200 would do the job as well on this given size. But again, if you get in touch with this printing company, they will help you out as well. All the best with the poster!
