Revisiting TDU - need help getting started

Hello,

I've been looking for a game like TDU ever since it came out, but TDU2 was a disappointment to me, and I did not see any other games like it coming out. I decided I would revisit TDU after 5 years to see what kind of mods were available. I was surprised to see that new cars were possible, and also a lot of other sutff.

However, it is easy to get confused with so many files. Can someone tell me if there are these kind of mods available:

1. Global physics mod that would enable all default cars to behave more realisticly? (something like hardcore but without messing up gravity)

2. Are there any fps tweak mods, stuff that will disable graphics stuff to improve performance?

3. Is there some big car pack that was compiled by a group of authors?

Thank you

Hello and welcome back to TDU!

1. No, no "global" mod that affects all default cars. You'd have to make it yourself I think. Most Modders nowadays supply realistic physics files with their mods.

2. Only tiny ones that affect the configuration files (IE remove the wind factor, etc) and those are very old. They are on the forums somewhere but I doubt they are downloadable anymore. Again, you're better off just turning down the graphics. Also, as new mods contain more detailed models than the cars they replace, your game becomes more and more resource heavy as you mod it.

3. Again, no. The only official big car pack there is was made by Eden. You have to download all your car mods individually. :)

If you're cruising in H mode, then press Esc, New game, but then cancel just before overwriting your save, the single player challenges show up on the map (or something like that).

Why would you need to improve FPS on a 5 year old game? Most of the non-vehicle mods improve the quality of the visual and decrease FPS.
