I do believe that we're back in Liberty City, since that was New York in the first place, and the ferry sign says "Liberty Ferry" and one of the buildings (I assume it is a paper or a magazine HQ) is called Liberteen.

 

 

It looks good. Not overwhelming but a damn sight better than any of the previous ones. They nailed some pretty nice sights from the original city I suppose. I am happy that it isn't a "See what can be done with next-gen graphics and a thirty minute storyline like Gears of War.

 

Much rather have plenty of city and lots of story than shiny new graphics.

Looks great, if they're in game graphics which a lot of them look like ... if you also notice the ship is from Liberty City

 

I have to admit I jumped on the GTA bandwagon with Vice City and then bought San Andreas (possibly one of the best games made to date in my mind)

 

Lets just hope we haven't lost any of the fantastic free roaming ability from San Andreas ... and I wonder how much they've modelled ... if we use NY geography I would say the Rollercoaster is down at what is Coney Island (appologies for spelling if I got it wrong) ... I'm guessing they'll have a decent part of Queens in there and JFK airport

 

Oh and looks like the time period is roughtly present day

Yeah it looks like it is set in the 21st Century and the soundtrack will be interestin !!! 7 months to wait is too long !!!

This looks nice, considering the fact that the GTA series haven't done great graphics wise, but I think they've done well here.

Looking forward for this though. And a totally different new character to free roam with.
