Can't race after patching to 1.66A+Megapack

I installed the 1.66A patch and then the Megapack, and now when i want to race and the racing grid is loading my car disappears and the camera keeps circulating around where my car supposed to be....from that point i have to shut down prog using ctrl+alt+delete, since i can't start the race, nor cancel it. Any way to fix??
