It's only okay, worthy of picking up when it's on sale. But for £15 it's a pretty small environment and the novelty wears off after a few hours. It is good fun though, and nice to have the option of chucking a car around in some snow. It's just a shame they didn't do a small island type thing with a bigger environment that was contained by water instead of invisible walls.

No I agree. It's not like the good old days of GT announcing a new game with 3x the cars, or Forza with x tracks, and new this and that. The most original and exciting racing game to come out in a while was probably DriveClub. That's not to say these games are bad, just that they follow a formula and it doesn't give me that fizzle down below (as James May would say) that I got when Forza Horizon was announced, or TDU2, or even FM3 as that was a big leap from FM2. I think what the genre really needs is more titles to compete with and shake things up a bit. That's why I'm really glad to see NFS trying to change things up a bit from their FIFA-style releases. It's a step in the right direction.

That looks beautiful, however... I'm sceptical of the physics. I don't know if their tyre model can compete with Assetto Corsa's. I know it's still a WIP but I've heard the physics are lacking, especially on snow/ice.

I think that's something we could figure out. For now, I'm basically available all of next week (yay holidays) and most evenings and weekends after that.

I'd prefer to buy a Veyron, an early model, not one of the ever so slightly different versions.

Maybe. I have a feeling everything to come in the monthly packs is already licensed, modeled and ready to go, including a Porsche pack that will be released after the season pass. Then again there's also one more expansion to come, perhaps it'll be in it?

In other news (courtesy of Ry link dumping in the cbox) : McLaren and BMW are working together on some new enginey stuffs to be implemented in a McLaren engine by 2020. The aim of whatever they're working on is to reduce CO2 and increase output. As a lover of fast cars and... planet Earth, this sounds good to me. More details here. What does this mean for F1? I love cream leather, but I (usually) hate wood trim. I think piano black would be nicer, not sure what colour the dash/carpet should be. All cream can be a bit... much, you know?

It's strange, I tried the no-cd crack and every other "solution" I could find to Securom but nothing worked. TDU won't run on my W10 at all. Would like a dual boot of W10/W7 in the future anyway, guess I'll just have to do that.
