  1. Very nice ! The RS Cosworth is also on Xarliths shortlist of almost finished cars. Check post nr46 Released TDU2: Unofficial Patch - Page 5 | turboduck forum These are the Cars he mentioned to be almost finished. Maybe it is smart to focus on those first with cool models, fully functional :D Some, probably most are. If you check the Lancia S4/Quattro S1 video you can see they are B1. Don't know about the unfinished and bugged list. The "almost ready" shortlist should be classified as well. It would be a cool idea to re-balance some classes. I always thought an S1-S2 class would fit the game for supercars, so the A1 class becomes more interesting. And some cars don't belong in their class, like the Caterham 500 or Scooby, that make all other cars in that class useless in races. Don't know if that is possible though. Also the tuning level up, like in TDU1 was a cool feature. Like many other cool features of TDU1... It does work with an unpacked game and the universal launcher
  2. Lol, no need to ask the same thing twice. If you read the whole thread and especially the first post, you will see that previous unreleased content from the game files is finished and added. In addition to that there is a list of almost or unfinished cars in the game files that are being looked at. Xarlith made a shortlist of cars that can possibly be added in a future version of the patch. And with some talented modelers a lot of those models can make it to the game. Without carswapping and fully integrated, named and balanced within the game.
  3. But only for sequential or Auto? I use heel and toe with manual. Most modern cars do that automatically with those new gear boxes. Some of the old V8 cars have these insane sounds when you lift off the throttle. Adding that would be awesome. I'm pretty sure that when Xarlith and StarGT decide to add his Beemers to the TDU2UP, they will be fully functional and complete.;)
  4. Just imagine that list to be completed... As there are two Lamborghini Murcielago's present in that list, maybe it is possible to change one of them for an Aventador. I think Xarlith mentioned something like that before. Also it might be possible to add additional cars to that list. Finishing this list is already a big task and there are still some other things to do in the game as well. And when it comes to Lamborghini i would prefer a Miura :) F40 is already there if you bought the DLC:cool: My Avatar needs a Horse...:D
  5. Sometimes you can see skid marks going up a wall or stick in the air, lol Maybe to compensate for the lack of aerodynamics in TDU2? Apply a little brake to slow down the car whilst in mid air? And when i'm at that, is it possible to add drag and downforce, like there was in TDU1? It would be cool to have some minor slipstreaming effect when driving close behind another car. Do you refer to the clanking like wooden parts falling of your car sounds? I always found them weird. Don't pay attention to it much as i'm probably used to it, lol:D Gear change sound in hood cam seems to be alright. When it comes to sound overhaul, maybe it is possible to cancel the weird noises in the "green finger" style homes. Or turn it down a notch.
  6. The non locking brakes are already a big improvement. Physics of the Countach and 300C are very well done. Shelby 500 is crazy. It was really fun to drive these new cars and it felt like they were always part of the game. That alone says enough about the quality of this patch and the people involved. The cars are also fully integrated and well balanced within the game. And let's not forget the countless other fixes and improvements of this patch. Cars are most noticeable off course, but they are a bonus. You can see the care and attention to detail this mod team has. All about quality. Impressive IMO
  7. TDU2-UP V0.2 Videos Good to see you back in the game. Biggest physics improvement are the brakes IMO. And 4WD cars don't turn into a frisbee anymore, when braking and turning. Especially the new cars drive very well. The Shelby probably needs some work, lol. But a lot of fun anyway. With some practice it can be a drifter. I took them all for a spin and made some short videos of the first runs. Driven in Sport Mode, as i think that is more real than HC, with Stick Shifter and Clutch. I deliberately overdrive the cars, just to see how they react. Just to give a small impression of the fun these new rides provide.:D
  8. 300C: Looks good, rides good, sounds good I took it for a spin after i bought it from Jude in the UCD. It rocks:cool: Really like the way it rides. Most gangsta ride in TDU2 now I encountered Ai driver Adam who drove in the 300C. He obviously likes it as well:lol: The Shelby is indeed a handful, but can also be drifted in Sport Mode. Maybe the handling needs some tweaks. At least it does not understeer like a lot of TDU default cars.
  9. Check the TDU2UP (unofficial patch) It allows cars to be added instead of replaced. New cars with every new version:cool:
  10. ROFL:D Already enjoy the few new rides in this patch. That Shelby GT500KR is quite a handfull, lol. At this pace you will indeed release more "DLC" than Atari ever intended.:D I have seen the Audi RS5 and Golf have improved models as well. Will check them out later.
  11. Very nice. I really enjoy driving those new cars. They look good, sound good and drive good:cool: maybe one day the complete TDU2 carlist will be completed....
  12. Lol:) Thanks for the wheel fix:cool: PS ATM it is not possible to use the paint and interior options with the new cars. Off course you can use the stickershop for it. But will this functionality be added later? The Countach is an awesome ride. I like it.
  13. Thanks very much. Just what the doctor ordered :D Awesome new models as well:cool: :happyroll:
  14. Found another vid of the Delta S4 and Quattro S1 Seems like sound and handling were already done. And i have seen those RabCat models..... Makes you wonder. Both should make a nice addition to TDU2. B1 Class FTW I have a link to that vid if it is not allowed remove it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O4VRRuD465k
  15. Awesome:D
  16. Cool part of this Unofficial Patch is that it actually allows cars to be added to the game, instead of replacing them by swapping carbodies. Maybe one of those nice carmods you refer to can be completed, made fully functional and added to the game through this patch. It is a much better way to add cars to the game  The Physics fixes i tried so far are a real improvement over the default one from Eden games. No more locking brakes, no more ridiculous sliding of the cars. TDU2 might one day actually be fun to drive, lol. I gave Xarlith some feedback for further improvements. I hope he can figure it out. Fixing Physics is probably not that easy. Makes you wonder why a few talented guys from the community can do what the devs couldn't or didn't want to do in 2 years time. Highly appreciated guys! Keep up the good work:cool:
  17. Many thanks for the help with the steering wheel, appreciated  Another question: is it possible to make the skid sounds in corners louder somehow? I want the tires to scream when i turn in too hard. Right now there is zero to none audible feedback from the tires when they lose grip in a corner. :)
  18. Are the files for Force Feedback accessible? For wheel users it would be a blast to have working FFB. My Fanatec CSW has no FFB at all. Driving like an old sim from the 80's now.
  19. Very cool, great job
  20. They changed soon® for "Early Next Week" and gave a whole new definition to the concept of "Week". I've seen some vids popping up. Drift mod is coming to life.
  21. Haha, keep teasing:p This would open the door for cheaters even more. For modders it would be a great tool, leave it to them. ;)
  22. A few more things that you can consider putting in later versions of this patch: Be able to buy more of your discovered wrecks Be able to sell tuning parts or strip all tuning Be able to win a car every time you hit jackpot or win L4 poker in the Casino Fix the uncontrolled sliding when braking and cornering in 4wd cars (they slide twice the amount of 2wd cars) Improve auto gearbox. Faster kick down and maybe be able to shift in Auto like in TDU1 Working air brakes Add an extra level of FRIM (L3 @25K) Unlock the additional paint options like chrome and gold flakes in the stickershop There is a (too) big difference in grip between hot and cold tarmac. Maybe the grip levels have been mixed up, like the evora gears. When driving to your home, it would be better IMO to enter the house in the Garage. I tried it yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. Drove in the Evora for the first time after a long period. If only the devs had your attitude and dedication it would surely be another game. 2 things: the R8V8 was handling like before going left/right almost no control to drive straight. The Mustang V6 in the wet was braking like pulling the handbrake, lol. Almost like the Cobra before. I used the Unpacked version on a separate game. And thanks again for doing this.
  23. Must be symbolic for Atari's sense of direction  @Xarlith, thanks for this release.
  24. Looks very promising so far. And please refrain from unlocking any DLC. Keep this unofficial patch "clean". This is what Eden and Atari should have done long time ago. After the countless bug reports since the early Beta, very little was actually done. This initiative and the Physics improvements (HC included) are what TDU2 needs. Good luck with the project:cool: PS Things that were in the community patch, like fixing the holes in Cockpits (RGT), offset wheels, indicator lights, indicator sound, windshield tinting adjustments, wrong numbers on dials and other minor graphical glitches, will they be included as well? Maybe contact Speeder or Viltsua about it, so you don't need to do the same thing twice:D Audi Sport Quattro seems to be in the files, but without car model. There are probably more cars like that. Also some cars are ridiculous after the last update. The Gumpert is a real handful. * The usual request from me regarding uncontrolled sliding of the cars (especially 4WD), locking brakes and other physics related stuff. * Maybe even a working FFB for wheels (weight transfer etc) * Curb kicks in lower ride height cars. * Koenigsegg with open top option. * Unlock hidden clothing and avatar customizing options, like tattoos * Dial from the Gumpert is hardly readable as it is black on a black background * Change the tire thread direction (they are backwards now) * Create a "portal" to Eden Island * Allow free walking * Rim painting in the paint shop * Finish the Auction Hall (if the files are there) * Add car slots so there is no need for body swaps anymore * Import option for all the cars from TDU1 (LOL) * Super Bonus Project: Add a slot for a new location:lol: Other things to consider fixing, less important but cool for videos or as a finishing touch, are: * Working dials in replay mode (Atom V8 has it, most cars have not) * Extra viewpoints in replay mode, like hood cam or free cam I don't know what is possible or not. These are just a few ideas;)
  25. Clutch and other "pedals" are more like a button with an adjustable delay function. It has no real linear operation like a real clutch has, unlike TDU1 where it worked like a charm. Requests to fix it have been forwarded since the early Beta. IMO a good driving setup for a race game should always start with a wheel in mind. Wheel support and FFB are very poorly implemented in TDU2. Just fiddle around with the settings a bit and see if you can get something that works for you. But don't expect the clutch to work properly.
