  1. I've never liked American cars. Everything Ford makes is soulless and pointless though the guy who lives next to my house in Bankstown has a Mondeo, which is quite nice looking if nothing else. Chrysler has Dodge, which makes the Viper, but it also makes the Ram, Charger and Challenger, so it balances out. And I don't think anything good has ever come out under Chrysler's name. GM...well it owns everything. I walked down the street this morning and saw many Holdens and a Daewoo. My friend owns a Z06, which is good from a distance, but its plasticy outside is awful. Cadillac makes the CTS-V which is possibly the worst looking car ever made. Hummer's are good for stretch Limos only, I've never even seen a Buick, Pontiac have had there day in the sun and should be killed off and I lived in Qing Xi for two months and saw just one Wuling, so they can't be great. I vote for GM, solely because it made the Saab 99. Which, depsite the fact it is Swedish, beat my Toyota in an off-road Rally two weeks ago.
  2. I owned (and technically still own) a Gallardo, customised as a Nera. I wrote it off on a track day in March though, so if I had to buy another Lambo, it'd be the Murcielago LP640. I would never buy a Lamborghini convertible, it just ruins the look and you feel conspicous driving it. If I had the opportunity I'd grab a Reventon over any of the above :p
  3. No, they must not be banned. Yes, the Veyron/Koenigsegg limos will ruin great pieces of machinery, but ban culture will not solve anything. Most of our opinions differ from they one of the man buying these cars, so if he's not entitled to own the car he thinks is good, none of us will be and I'll have to sell my R8. Besides, I just booked a Corvette Limo (I'm Australian, Corvette's are very exotic to me) to take me and my family from LAX to San Diego in August and I don't want to have to go in a Hummer instead.
  4. Don't break it ;) Probably, I don't pay attention to how much fuel goes into a car. For a beginner's car especially it doesn't matter since you won't be driving incredible distance.
  5. And I owned an Alfa Brera for 2 and a half years. An absolutely brilliant car, one of the best I've ever driven. Still flammable though.
  6. It would be a fantastic talking piece, owning the car that's driven one of the most important figures in WW2. Whatever despicable things Hitler did, he is one of the most important people in history and having a piece of that history in your garage would be fantastic. Though all Hitler ever did with this car is sit in it. Would be of more Hitler-signifigance to buy a VW beetle...
  7. Been playing Test Drive alot more lately, and have realised that the Saleen just slaughters every car alive in pretty much every form of challenge, I think there was one time I managed to get an Enzo around a corner faster... So we need something to beat it, the Gumpert would, but I want something to humiliate the Saleen as much as the Saleen humiliates the Lambo Murcielago. So I'm thinking Formula One cars. Or a Caparo.
  8. Unfortunately I do like the Edonis, and it has naming problems :p So I replaced the Saleen. And dear God it's brilliant. Its the only mod I've actually kept on my game. The Veyron's performance is very similar to the S7's (when tuned) and suits it well (though the sudden oversteer is unexpected) This is the fastest car I've ever taken around the Oahu raceway too, beating my old S7's time by 1 second. And it looks good in so many ways - I have actually spent nearly an hour in Car Paint Luxe making it look perfect. In fact I bought a second just to do that :p I do have a rather major problem though, before today I was patiently awaiting TDU2, but now I just want it sooo badly, just so I can drive this at its true acceleration time and with that amazing AWD. Now I am very impatient in waiting :( :p Bloody wonderful mod, thanks a heap.
  9. Toyota Corolla's and Audi 80's are fairly common around here very cheaply, and they are both good cars for learning in.
  10. My ideal one would be: None of that designer costume stuff. I don't want to buy clothes, and the shops just clutter up my map. I'd say no bikes, but I believe in Test Drive Unlimited. And my ideal game with no bikes would contradict that. No paying for damage, or no damage in the first place. TDU is not about crashing and damaging cars, its why the first game is so brilliant. Lifelike performance I'm OK with, but what's wrong with just having some fun in a McLaren at 425kph? there are more serious driving games out there. TDU is a bit of a laugh right now, which is a good thing. More cars - Fast ones, slow ones, minivans, SUVs, trucks. Everything you can get. I want lots of cars so I never get bored. No day/night No pedestrians (sorry, that'll just make the game Grand Theft Auto) Weather, or actually just rain. And sun. Some offroading would be good Improved graphics Some more racetracks, or the ability to actually race on the Oahu raceway. I dunno what you can do in multiplayer, but in single player the raceway is a pointless strip of tarmac with no challenges on it. I don't really car about any of that though, since I'm happy with TDU as it is (gameplay), all I really really want is more cars.
  11. Note the last word :p I'd rather minivans than motorbikes, but you may as well try to cram it all in. I'd love to see minivans...
  12. Yeah we'd all like that, but EA holds the exclusive license to Porshe.
  13. Good thread, I have a fair few I'd like to see. I'd also like to see none of the current cars taken out and see if TDU can get as many cars as GranTurismo :p The Really Really Insane Ones Gumpert Apollo Ascari A10 Lamborghini Reventon Ariel Atom Lamborghini Gallardos (Nera, Superleggera, LP560-4, Trofeo) Bugatti Veyron (really a must) SSC Aero Corvette ZR1 The ones that are not quite normal cars and not quite supercars Noble M15 Nissan GTR Audi R8 Rolls-Royce Phantom Bentleys Off-Roaders Hummer H3 Bowler Nemesis Toyota Land Cruiser Toyota Hilux Toyota Rav4 Nissan Patrol Mercedes R-Class Average Cars Toyota Tarago (Previa) Toyota Camry Toyota Yaris Holden Commodore Holden HSV (Vauxhall VXR8) Holden Monaro Honda Odyssey Honda Civic Volkswagen Golf GTi Subaru Impreza Subaru Legacy Subaru Outback Renault Clio Renault Espace Peugeot 107 Peugeot 1007 And a SsangYong Rodius for laughs.
  14. I'm not for damage. It's one of the things that I like about TDU now. Hawaii is a mountainous area with twisty roads and you fall off a lot. Imagine being half an hour into the island tour and one of your wheels lock up and you spin into a tree. Fuel and tire wear doesn't bother me, it could be a nice addition, especially if fuel stations were like pit stops you could easily use in longer races.
  15. Just use random songs from "My Music" so I just have to press R and then I can do what I wanted to do in the first place - drive.
  16. I'm quite happy with TDU now, its a good casual simulation and I'd really love most of what is mentioned, except for day/night. Improved graphics is hopefully a given... I'd like to see a racetrack that is accessible at the start - for getting used to the feel of car controls, with another track or two being unlocked after you level up. I'd also like to see the ability for modders to create and add their own cars - like Microsoft Flight Simulator. But most of all what is needed are more cars. From exclusive and powerful cars (Veyron, Gumpert, Reventon) to some lower end cars. EA holds the rights to Porsche and I'm not too sure about BMW, but Eden has the Holden Efijy, so why not throw in an Astra, a VXR8 or a Commodore? I'd like to see more average cars such as a Honda Odyssey or a Toyota Camry. A Rolls-Royce wouldn't go astray either :p
  17. Had a few to choose from, some of which were much higer quality. But I like the angle
  18. Lol, brilliant point. Dunno if they are convertibles though since neither can be converted to a car with a roof :p
  19. Never test drive a convertible supercar then order the coupe only to realise you blew $260k on a car you can't fit into.
  20. I rented a Gallardo Spyder for a few days around New York. Brilliant fun to drive, but when you're constantly in traffic jams, you feel incredibly conspicous. I recently owned an 2007 Audi A4 convertible which I adored, but even my mum bursted out laughing when I pulled up in it. So...convertibles that men can look good in. None. Get a Gallardo Coupe or A4 Saloon and preserve your dignity.
  21. Quality ruined a little in resize...Lotus Exige around the Raceway
