The list of cars available in this mod are phenomenal, but a lot of the specs are a complete **** up. The stock Ford GT now does 419km/h (just one of many examples)? One or several of the devs behind this mod went full moron-mode and pulled speeds out their backsides. If these got corrected to the proper stats, then this mod would be perfect.

This guy, geez... You could've simply went for a test drive to realize that their performance are actually correct, just their stats on paper are wrong (explained in FAQ), but no. Went straight to rage on it. "Full moron-mode" it is I guess 🙄

Not much info so far but it having a 1:1 irl island location is good to hear.

Yeah, and I wouldn't mind to see a completely new Hawaii if that's what they'll bring it again with a lot detailed offroading roads and scenery to admire. At least by Nanco's post on Twitter promoting the July 7th announcement maybe is safe to expect working windows and indicators? We'll see.

According to the latest "leaks" not only is the next TDU's official name confirmed to be "Test Drive: Solar Crown", but its reveal is (currently) scheduled for May 31 and the locations are Southern France and Eastern Brazil! Obviously, take all of this with a grain of salt, since none of it is officially confirmed by KT and/or Nacon.

Let's wait and see what happens.

  4. Yes! Turn signals, open/close roof animation on the fly and cars with sun roof too! It would be a first in a racing game to be able to open/close the sun roof (at least never saw a title featuring that) and TDU was all about the immersive details that improve the gameplay quite a bit because TDU is a lifestyle driven game and those details will matter to me. Thing is, TDU 2 would be succesful if wasn't for it's ridiculous driving physics and that's no secret. But for TDU 3, adding up more details like those will hugely improve immersion  and definitely would separate things from the competition offering it's own world of content and details that would appeal not only for the cruisers, but for people to spent time chilling in a game that is pleasent to be in aswell even if you are the most hardcore gamer that only wants to race and drive fast, because there are times that you want to socialize online with other people, talking about cars and stuff. That's when the social stuff from TDU 2 would be nice to have a come back like the first person view at dealerships or the houses with house customization to really have the feel of an RPG racing game. That means would be nice to see a come back to character customization with clothes to buy aswell.
Fuel consumption is something that some people like, some people don't, so I wouldn't mind if that would be optional that you can turn on and off in the options menu. I personally would love to have it if the world we are given doesn't lack gas stations. Would be nice to even have charging places for the eletric cars if there will be any in the game. Fuel consumption doesn't even need to be realistic that we would end up out of fuel all the time, but it definately could be an addon to things for us to do in the game like the car washers that TDU 1 had but was removed from the game.

  5. I don't know if that's the right topic to address this, but here it is:

As you can see in the picture bellow there's something wrong with the doors shaders (I think) from the SLR McLaren model. It seems like the door shader is set backwards or something since the light effect does not follow the rest of the car's body. That's been bothering me for quite awhile now. Just to note as a bug if it's not already a known issue...

The rest of the model is very good, actually. I'm just hoping if it will be possible to replace the original SLR wheels (the famous fan-shaped) in a future update:

The one that the mod is using is from the original TDU and it is not very good.

Thanks for everyone involved in the project that made it possible! Fantastic work! 😄

  6. Shifting is somewhat weird as well with a fanatec gt3rs wheel. Paddles don't respond all the time. I should try without patch eventually to see whether related or not.

I just know the server is run by mod's author on a dedicated plan. He promised to release server program if the hosting can't be maintained. Afaik, a single machine is required to act as a registry. PCs running tdu connect directly via p2p, then.

It doesn't always shift for me too. I don't recall this happening before the official servers shutdown, but maybe a bug with the new .dll's that conflicts with many controllers? I don't know if that 'miss-shifting' bug happens when playing on keyboard as well, but may be something to think of?

  7. Hi brSiRius, yes indeed maybe it's just something to do with the time. I saw you online just when I was leaving: I play (in my local time, france) generally in the evening, and it's in the early evening (6:00/7:00pm) that I see the more players, then it's progressively decreasing to a few players (11:00/12:00pm):sootired:

Oh, thanks for the info. Are you a HC player? It's hard for me to find any nowadays. And what's your ingame name? Cheers :D

  8. Project Paradise[/url], I'm one of these happy TDU1 players,

@bSiRius: I don't know why you can't see the players on the map (internal bug in your config? I'm not good in computering to tell much more...)

also, I could not say if there is still many people from the forum, but each time I play, there are 45/55 players and some became online mates.

not sure if Win10 will help TDU1 with compatibility, but on Win 7 it's cool!

Hey! I'm using windows 7. I don't know what it was if it was a bug or something, but I like to cruise from time to time too like Robik but I usually see that are 10 to 15 people online but only 1 or 3 tops shows up on the map screen (if they shows up at all). May be it's due to the low number of players online and the time that I go online?

  9. Does anyone still play TDU1? Most of the time when I go online it says theres some players online but none shows up on the map screen. Just wondering. And this forum is dead for about a year I'm still wondering. Maybe someone respond. Maybe not... Well I'm here to say hi to the ghosts anyway so hello o/

  10. Hi Guys !

A BIG thank all the mod devs for their hard work !!! I`ve been waiting to play online for years !

But i`m having some problems here and I cannot find an answer for that. I original game and so with the car pack. I installed the game and patched it successfully to 1.66A. I run the game and making new profile, trying online but I see on the map that servers are unavailable. All the hotkeys working well F5-F10 but there are no real life oponents :( Of course I copied dll file in to my game installation directory.

What I`m doing wrong ? Can Anyone help please ???

    Thank You !

    TDU Forever !!!

You probably skiped reading the ReadMe file. In there you will find a note:

"When you connect for the first time to the server with your old online

profile, you'll get the error message "The nickname you entered is invalid".

Press OK. On the next screen, be sure to check the GameSpy ID case and NOT

TO CHANGE YOUR EMAIL OR PASSWORD OR YOUR SAVEGAME WILL BE RESET!

  11. Hey! Very nice to see some old friends back online again! :D

I just wanna sincerely thank all the people involved in this awesome project that made TDU back alive again! Seriously, guys... Thanks A Lot! :D

Well, it is still beta so I think I should report some things that is happening. Some of them you may already know by now, but still...

-My game crashes all the time when I quit the game since the d3d9.dll (multiplayer client). It is working normally It just occour when I quit the game. I'm affraid that corrupts my savegame at some point as you know the game saves automatically when exiting. So I think it is just a thing to report. It started to happen just after the client dll file was installed in a fresh installation of TDU.

-As I found out, not all of the gas stations are valid to fill it up yet.

-Some times the fuel gauges just disappear for a moment and then reappear.

-The '-hd' command line doesn't quite worked for me. It messed up the HDR switching to super overbright and normal and real drops of fps...

Oh, one thing I was wondering about is what's the criteria of the fuel consumption exactly at the moment? Is it the speed factor, how hard I push the throtle or is it more complex/simple as that? And thank you guys again to make it all happen! :)
