  1. Don't be fooled, the visible rust is there.
  2. Well here's my ratty little economobile in all his glory. Y'all say hello to Pepper now.
  3. I think I partook writing for that GT5 magazine as well, just can't for the life of me recall what and how I did. Though that was three years ago, if I'm not mistaken so whatever it is, it's now redundant. I'd be up for some writing, being a journalist type of person is a little bit of a dream I've been suppressing, this could be a good kick off. Also, I think Ryan approached me asking to write a non-game related article about life as a car owner (when I still had the Vectra, so lolz would be had), but that so completely escaped my mind at that moment that I didn't end up doing it. Yikes. If Diablo or Ry is interested in giving me a second chance, I'll humbly accept it.
  4. Someone, somewhere hates you with pure, unprecedented, passionate hatred for doing this. (It's me.) (Go to heck.)(Seriously.)(How freely will you be handing out the keys to this?)
  5. A simply expertly solution to surface rust. Which, thanks to the infinite incompetence of car owners, it no longer is.
  6. Disregard that. The wheels are fine as long as you don't hit every curb in your path.
  7. For those of you surprised, you don't seem to realize how well-off Norwegians are. Norway's GPD per capita is something like $60k, as opposed to, for example, Latvia's, which I doubt has ever exceeded $18k, and it's even way higher than the UK's. Minimum wage up there is 14 times higher than it is over here. So yes, working for two years even on minimum wage would earn him that amount of money. As for the price, as safiro said, the taxes they put on cars are insane. You think you have it bad in the UK with insurance? Nah. I think the volume of the taxes is determined by the weight and engine capacity, so for the MX-5 it wouldn't be so bad in comparison, but I know people who have had to pay double the car's initial price. (Source: a Norwegian mate with a V12 BMW grand tourer) To the OP, glad you know where to put your earnings, car's top notch. Good luck with your license!
  8. Thanks all y'all. D o n ' t. Favorite car in the game so far. :3 --- And some racing barge with a big angry chicken on the bonnet, faster than it looks.
  9. You absolutely need to avoid Tinypic and Photobucket (especially this, it's so 2008 gawd) like the plague. I go with Flickr myself and the quality drop is very minor at most.
  10. It's Yas Marina. The other one isn't an option. The full-size of these ones came out around 17mb each after post-production (rainbow noise is a necessary evil), so click at your own discretion. --- As per Harley's request:
  11. Well, since there is no sub-sub-forum for GT6 pics and since I just so happen to have acquired the game (thanks Harley bby mwah), I'll be continuing to smooth the edges of my sub-par digital photo skills in this same thread. M4 caught me by surprise. Of course unwritten rule dictates I have to get it in the most grotesque shade of blue available. ---
  12. Within the EU, yes. Frequency depends from country to country, but here in the Baltics it's annual for all personal vehicles. I don't quite understand the latter part of your question, but if you want to know whether the tests are similar then the answer to that is yes. Across the EU there's regulations regarding what should be paid most attention to, such as chassis rigidity and anything else which can potentially compromise the safety of a car to make sure it conforms to all safety standards, which are pretty much alike across the EU. The strictness of these tests varies greatly depending on country, though. Here in Latvia they're pretty flippant in comparison to Germany, where they're downright prudish.
  13. Hey, thanks for the advice. I'm actually looking at some rejuvenating/protective polish I can use regularly on the wheels (about once a month), as I happen to hit gravel on my daily commute and since they're R18s on 45 rubber, they get beat up pretty easily. Right around now the wheels look like this, though they're off the car and in storage currently: [IMG] You can easily see the scratching and although they're not in a completely poor condition as of now, this is what two weeks of local roads have done to the poor sods. Damn things were nearly spotless in Germany. And I'm totally trying plasti dip, dude. Not on the ASAs, but the O.Zs, because they're butt ugly winter beaters anyways. Or maybe some steelies.

    1. hayhahah my avatar is so stupid. It's 4am.

      1. Boo, 5-door. I want those pictures, though.

        1. Oh dang son, Evoque? That's pretty neat, can't wait to play it. Especially if standards now look as neat as they do in your photos.
