  1. Shame the TDU2 forum(s) have become a bit of silent but since a week I reinstalled TDU2 and having a blast (again). It's still as good as I remember it was. Also bought The Crew and play them both on and off. Hope seeing you online someday and have some great races like in the old days. Carda
  2. Please add me to the club, my ingame user name is Carda. Thank you!
  3. Finally made it through Ibiza today. Got my $1,000,000 bonus from Ibiza Rally and bought myself my first Audi in the A5 class. Tried out the stickering option within TDU2 and this is how I made my Audi look like: Oddest thing is i had to PAY money to advertise, Carda
  4. General Mod Shop forumpart isn't doing what it's supposed to be doing. All those different mods not fitting into available categories. Please dear moderators..... (BTW Grats on the 16K+ threads )
  5. Yeah it needs a fix If it's more easy to remove the looping sound, please (however I don't think that's an easy job). It's such a shame of the looping sound (firebird and challenger) when driving (not accellerating) about 40x RPM, approaching high rpms. (the origional Atari sound that is). Most sound mods are all about the cars that are non class G.... :( and I like to cruise in my G. If you have lots of time... the sound could be more hmmmm.... deeper too (more lower frequencies 60/160hz). When it's at its 50 something rpm (the max.) it's not as deep in sound as I would like. Compared to the other standard TDU engine sounds however (non class G) it's not that bad. Rated standard engine sounds TDU: D- .... I believe it explains why they wanted to cover it up by mixing in those high volumed louzy asphalt and wind sounds when driving (to my humble opinion, not stating it). When those are moddingly removed and we're able to listen to the engine closely it's soooo sad sometimes. Remembering NFS-Porsche Challenge 2000.... never had a moment like "I'm not gonna drive that car because the engine sound s#cks so bad". Greets, Carda
  6. Most work I do in Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8. I only use PhotoShop when I need to convert a picture to .DDS/WS_ or when I need to resize it.
  7. Triple 6 eeeh? After I finish my shop overhaul project I'll give it a go. Greets, Carda
  8. It's just one texture you have to replace and so far I know replacing textures is NO problem online. A zo6dude camera shop seems fit.
  9. Welcome: Looking for more textures to work on I decided to start on a general shop overhaul a few days ago. The picture in between TDU-C and Golden Tulip is not connected to TDU-Central in any way, neither is it part of it's shop logo. It's connected to the Free A'dam coffeehouse shop ingame. Download here: http://www.filefront.com/15643335/TDU%20Shops%20Overhaul%20by%20Carda-v1.00.zip How to install: You need to replace 1 file in 2 banks to be able for this mod to work (again I used Jeffrey BNK editor) FIRST MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR COMMONWORLD.BNK AND COMMONWORLDDIV2.BNK (these 2 files are located in \\Testdrive Unlimited\Euro\Bnk\Level\Hawai) Inside \\Testdrive Unlimited\Euro\Bnk\Level\Hawai\CommonWorld.BNK replace the file sf_signs.2db with the extracted file out of my CommonWorld folder: sf_signs.2db (171kb) and save the BNK after replacing the file inside Inside \\Testdrive Unlimited\Euro\Bnk\Level\Hawai\CommonWorldDiv2.BNK replace the file sf_signs.2db with the extracted file out of my CommonworldDiv2 folder: sf_signs.2db (43kb) and save the BNK after replacing the file inside The End notes: Merci Djey and thanks to Jeffrey for making my TDU modding possible! Thanks to Iced_Bullet for the great tutorials. Editor Notes: My mods are based on the public and free use principle I will not allow my products to be used in commercial products I have no problem if you edit my mods and release it for free use IF you give me the credits for origional design. Thumbnail. Added later with photoshop the good old grove street tag to the picture. Rest is untouched ingame. (thanks again to ATI for the splendid anti-aliazing ) Greets, Carda
  10. Thank you for the great support for modders! The option MANY here shows you've been thinking how to make our life easier. :excited:
  11. What a beauty!! Xiorxorn / Christophe31fr / Djey / 2CV SUPER GT, you all did a great job. Happely imported the model to the game.
  12. With pleasure using a few soundmods of your great collection! +Topic rated 5Stars. Is there a possibility you can upgrade the class G vehicle(s) a bit? The standard TDU Dodge Challenger and the Pontiac Firebird sound is nice already but I can still hear a loop in it's sound when it's in mid range RPM. Also to my opinion their sound just doesn't give the honors to the power that's roaring. Greets and have fun modding, Carda
  13. TOPGR on a Nevada license plate and with a nice framework around it. In scale with cars using the USA sized license plate: For download: http://www.filefront.com/15629043/%28USA-Nevada%29%20TOPGR%20-%20corrected.zip In scale with cars using the EU sized license plate: For download: http://www.filefront.com/15629731/%28GB%29%20TOPGEAR%20%28EU%20license%20cars%29.zip Thanks go to Djey for TDU Modding Tools, Jeffrey for the Bank Editor, R.T. Brandon for his website with blank USA license plates and Iced_Bullet for his tutorial. Have fun, Carda
  14. First, I want to thank you both for giving a nice reply! I started working on another type of gas station last few days and added the Texaco gas station to the collection. Also I renamed the topic from "Royal Dutch Shell Gas Station (D) (NL) (USA)" to "TDU Gas Station Conversions by Carda". Greets and "Where ever you go, go Texaco" Carda
  15. Pushed through another 'milestone' today. For those who have been following this topic, you know I've been talking about how important it is NOT to change the amount of waypoints used or else TDU will crash. This is centainly true but finally found the workaround for it. I'll add this information in my first post too ofcourse. As example I'll take the TSFE0045.IGE again. This one HAD the restriction of 1 startline, 2 waypoints and 1 finishline, right? Now its finally broken free of this restriction (as are the other IGE files too ofcourse). Just before the first CHPT starts you have a line called ENTI. The last byte of ENTI (the byte before the first CHPT starts) rules the amount of waypoints used. Remember that CARP is ALSO a waypoint. So TSFE0045.IGE has a startline, 2 checkpoints in between, a finishline AND the CARP waypoint... that's 5 waypoints (the value of this byte in the standard TSFE0045.IGE). I changed it to 0D and added a lot of CHPT lines to the file (ofcourse the waypoints are numbered from 01 to 0C..., yes 0C because CARP is also a waypoint and the amount of waypoints is set to 0D). I added the new checkpoints to the file by using the function INSERT CHARS on the end of the file. The amount of INSERT CHARS is 96 (amount of bytes for a CHPT line). So now my TSFE0045.IGE modded race consists out of 12 checkpoints. It gives an opportunity to construct a better detailed race then with only 4 checkpoints to work with. Its a 27KM cruise mission. No bots, no time limit, no car restriction, 75,000 gold as reward money (takes about 17 minutes to complete the cruise if you manage it without damage) and most important: no random bots popping up during the cruise as well . Just get to the destination with only 21 driver penalty to spare and medium traffic on. 12 Checkpoints used, so was able to create some cornering. http://www.filefront.com/15616737/TSFE0045-12checks.zip See previous posts where to start TSFE0045 on the map.
  16. Still didn't actually post a thank you note... I had such a good time watching it! Also saw your Neintje video on Youtube but I have no clue who she is.
  17. This file is for personal use only. I won't start spamming GPS voices, but if you don't like the dark side, you now can have R2D2 and 3CPO integrated in your GPS. Origional sampled by www, moviewavs, com. I looked for the right sounds, converted them to TDU acceptable soundformat and created the new GPS.BNK. The limitation by the creator that it's for personal use only and not to be used for commercial packaging. Luckely the GPS.BNK can be uploaded in one go and no modding anymore is required. Backup your GPS.BNK in Testdrive Unlimited\Euro\Bnk\Sound\Voices\US (that's the language I use) and replace the GPS.BNK with the one from my file. Also the female voice telling distances has been replaced with new (R2D2) sound files, so you won't hear her bothering you again. http://www.filefront.com/15590811/GPS.zip The Endnotes: Thanks go to: Jeffrey and DJEY for creating the tools needed www, moviewavs, com for the great soundfiles The creator of 'The Beckenbauer GPS' for the inspiration. 40Clocc Editor Notes: My mods are based on the public and free use principle I will not allow my products to be used in commercial products As these soundfiles are not mine to begin with, you also have to respect the wishes of the creator Greets and may da force be with ya, Carda R2D2 translator for those lacking the force: 3 beeps (different tones with different order each distance) tells you the exact distance to the destination bleeperbleepbleepbleep low bleep high bleep (left turn) bleeperbleepbleepbleep high bleep low bleep (right turn)
  18. (GPS) *OVERPOWERING VOICE* .... TURN RIGHT!! Darth Vader GPS. No more please turn right. You'll be glad you turned right, not to hear him order you to turn around. Origional created/hosted by GPSIce for the in real life TomTom nagivation system. I extracted his soundbank and converted the soundfiles needed to TDU acceptable soundformat. The limitation by the creator that it's for personal use only and not to be used for commercial packaging. I'll send him a mail once this post is ready and ofcourse I keep this mod free and for public usage. Luckely the GPS.BNK can be uploaded in one go and no modding anymore is required. Backup your GPS.BNK in Testdrive Unlimited\Euro\Bnk\Sound\Voices\US (that's the language I use) and replace the GPS.BNK with the one from my file. <<the female voice with distance to destination remained>> dark vader didn't have enough speech to replace that one but it's kinda funny hearing that 'old' female GPS voice trying to interrupt on Darth. http://www.filefront.com/15582343/GPS.zip I'm not common and I'm sure my PC can't handle making those nice You-Tube vids :( so can't give a little demonstration. The Endnotes: Thanks go to: Jeffrey and DJEY for creating the tools needed GPSIce for the great soundfiles The creator of 'The Beckenbauer GPS' for the inspiration. 40Clocc Editor Notes: My mods are based on the public and free use principle I will not allow my products to be used in commercial products As these soundfiles are not mine to begin with, you also have to respect the wishes of the creator Greets and may da force be with ya, Carda
  19. Searching for a good replacement for the GPS in TDU, I found this http://www.gpsice.co.uk/voices.html website that hostes navigation voiceset with Yoda and Darth Vader (very good sound a-likes, not the real thing! That would give too much copyright problems) I did not create the voiceset myself, its created by GPSIce with these rules: You can download these tomtom voices for free. However, the creators' conditions are that the tomtom voices are for your personal use, they should not be sold, either individually or as part of any package. I am only extracting the navigation voiceset and converting it into TDU acceptable soundfiles and put them into the GPS.BNK. After the job is finished I'll mail him with the information of my mod that's free too. Welcome to your journey to the darkside
  20. There are already great conversions available created by Iced_Bullet, but I couldn't resist creating my own versions too. Added a Texaco version to the collection and renamed the topic as well on 19-feb-2010. The End notes: Merci DJEY and thanks to Jeffrey for making my TDU modding possible! Thanks to Iced_Bullet for the great tutorials. (I used the origional TDU files to create my mod) Editor Notes: My mods are based on the public and free use principle I will not allow my products to be used in commercial products I have no problem if you edit my mods and release it for free use IF you give me the credits for origional design.
  21. Moved the custom plates to "Carda's Released Custom License Plates"
  22. Thank you both for the kind words. I hope you like the mod as much as I do at the moment. Working on a french version: Dedicated to the origional french design team (not the Atari buy-up's). Creating a great driving simulation  that overclasses NFS by a long shot and then having to drive it with USA roadsigns..... :slaps head: (You could have done a better job with making the bots push the pedal to the metal though, instead of needing Class D bots for a fair race against my Class F Saturn)
  23. Out of scaled balance 64x32 or 32x30 in scale sounds both fine to me!! Thanks
  24. Welcome to my personal page. Feel free to write a note. Have a good time!

    1. That's how I like it!! More mods. BTW, the pictures are 511x128pixels. (also added this in my first post). My first try changing the billboards I assumed 512x128, but that really didn't work (software never makes mistakes, only the human mind)
